  • While this isn't exactly about computers, I'm counting this as a computer-related topic.
We used the T-Mobile Home Internet services for about 11 months, and after experiencing some issues, as a family, we decided to return to a hard-wired connection.
But what was it like to return this device and cancel the service? Was the staff helpful?
Watch this week's episode to find out.

We switched to T-Mobile Home internet a year ago and have had no issues. We do live and travel around in a RV so a hard wired system is a no go for us. We will stick with T-Mobile until they tell us we can't have it any longer.

Only $50.00! Wow,I have to pay $85.00 for cable Internet. Where I live, they know they are the only game in town. My only other option would be starlink, which is even more expensive. Without real competition, the consumer always loses.

Thanks for watching. Know the $50 a month is a two-year special. I’m sure it will go way up when it expires. Maybe I will try the wireless internet then. Two years time can create lots of technology changes.

My mom is using the Verizon 5G Home Internet at this moment, and it seems to be working fine. Hoping it keeps being a good bridge between leaving Cox and their constant rate hikes and whenever the independent fiber provider will start laying lines in her neighborhood. However, I've heard some difficult things about the Cox cancellation experience (very customer unfriendly).

Thanks for watching. I did the same thing for my parents. For them, this was a better solution compared to their woefully slow and expensive DSL connection.

My hardwired internet always got messed up more than the T-Mobile so in my area at least it's doing good

*New Sub here.* *I canceled my T-Mobile service a while back due to some issues. Long story short, the account went to a collection agency. Awesome, right? Why awesome? Because if you owe money to a business for any reason, like for appliances, phones, etc., and it gets sent to a collection agency, consider yourself lucky-you no longer owe anything to the original business. The contract you signed is between you and the original business, not with a third party that bought your debt along with hundreds of others.* *If you get calls or letters from a collection agency, kindly ask them not to contact you anymore. If you receive a phone call, ask them to stop calling and inform them that you are recording the conversation. Most likely, they won't contact you again because you can sue them for harassment, which can be up to $10,000 per incident. If you get a phone call from them, never say YES or agree to anything because they can use your words to pursue you legally.* *This approach works for everything except homes and cars. Those have their own special type of contracts and can't be dismissed so easily.*

This is good for someone that cant get hard-wired internet for whatever reason, but a fully wireless provider will never be good

Thanks for watching, and I completely agree. This is a good option where a hardwired connection isn’t available.

You should have did an even exchange/T Mobile Store swapping Sim Cards for the newer 4th generation white T Mobile Home Internet Gateway plus adding a Google Nest Wi Fi Pro mesh system with a Waveform Quad Pro or Mini Antenna/upgrading the gateway to improve speeds and performance.

My experience is that the stock gateway's that T-Mobile gives you need additional cooling and are short on controls😢. I am using a modem from Chester Tech Repairs that is far superior to the Sagencomm gateway. It aggregates two 5G bands of N41. My typical speeds are 700-800down and 155-179 up. It is extremely reliable!

I dump T-Mobile 5G home internet when Ziply became available. I now have gigabit DSL. I'm getting a full 1,000 megabits in each direction over copper. Ziply gigabit DSL is way faster than T-Mobile 5G.

I have the newest gateway 4th white generation T Mobile Home Internet Gateway with double internal antennas 9 VS 4 previous gateways along with internet aggregation plus a Google Nest Wi Fi Pro mesh system: beamforming technology and being a triband device VS metal antennas two band system plus adding a Waveform Quad Mini antenna-constant speeds/never any problems.
