I'm glad you liked it! I've been using this method for a couple years now. Also recently found out the Nighthawk M1 is about $76 on eBay right now and that's still a pretty good hotspot.
Great informative video. I was looking for something like those for my unlocked M5 to revise IMEI. But I am a Mac user, seems DC-Unlock did not have the Mac Client😢
I did IMEI repair on MR5200 using my iPad IMEI number, and everything worked as expected for the most of part. I have t-mobile unlimited tablet plan. One interesting thing that I found is: if I connect my Amazon Firestick to MR5200, it still reported as “hotspot” data usage, which dropped down to 3G speed. Other devices connected to MR5200 are all reporting as normal usage. Just wondering why? If anyone experienced similar issue on other devices or other carriers?
Glad to hear you figured it out. I'm not sure why the firestick is using hotspot data I have att and I use a fire TV all the time with no data usage. If it helps I'm using an android tablet for the IMEI on an att business tablet line.
Even more interesting as I am doing more testing on it, and found some of the traffics from Firestick were considered as normal, such as speed tests. But my TH-cam TV stream is logged as “hotspot “ which in T-Mobile’s term, it was capped at 3G speed. It could be the difference between Apple devices vs. Android devices. I try the same with Apple TV, it worked just fine as normal data traffic. Thanks for the quick reply.
Yeah I got another question. If I get a 5G tablet and use the IMEI number as long as I don't put a SIM card in the tablet can I safely still browse the web with that tablet connected to the hotspots Wi-Fi? I'm just curious cuz I wonder if the carrier will detect that two devices are pulling data from the same IMEI number?
Yeah you can use it for WiFi. Just don't ever have both on at the same time if you have a SIM card in both. Better to just not have a SIM card in the tablet at all but yeah WiFi is perfectly okay even if the hotspot is on.
Sorry for the late response. Did you get it going? No sim card inside when you do it. Sounds weird but it could be your computer. Try using another computer. Also, does DC Unlocker work with the firmware version on your nighthawk?
Hey bro!! Every iphone have 2 IMEI numbers so, can i use 1st IMEI as a regular cellular plan for iphone and 2nd IMEI for my nighthawk M6 pro. Is this going to be working because both IMEI’s are different so it should work completely fine. What are your thoughts on it???
I don't see why not but make sure whichever one you use your not using for the hotspot. Also I'm not sure if you will need a phone plan or if you can use a tablet plan with a phone IMEI but I'm theory yes it will work
Hey If you are still having issues finding the plan he's talking about I can walk you through it. You do not need a business account but you do need to know exactly what to say. The plan is not advertised and they don't go out of their way to help people get set up on the plan since it is beyond cheap. I have been using the same plan since back when the M1 was brand new and 4g lte seemed like you'd found Nirvana. Now I use a 5g lte version and I can't believe I ever thought 4g was fast lol. It would work with visible but I am not sure if it'll work with that Netgear air card. You would have to check the DC unlocker website to see if that's something that's compatible with IMEI repairs
They don't have tablet plans they only offer phone service so I'm assuming visible won't work 🤷🏿♂️ also it says imei number isn't compatible with visible does tablet I get imei number from have be unlocked also?
Well the problem here is your going to have to write a phone IMEI instead and your bill is going to be more money with a phone line. Since visible doesn't have a tablet line you can't use a tablet IMEI. Make sure the phone IMEI you use your not using that phone with a SIM card you don't want both IMEIs connected to towers at the same time this will flag the carrier and risk your account getting banned so whatever IMEI you use make sure the original device your not going to be using anymore.
I got this to work with home 5g internet imei and some But with a tablet line it works and then I get speeds under 1mb needing to reincert sim on tablet to get it working
It's on T-Mobile I'm using my tab S7+ Imei I was using the service on a diffent android device not sure if that would have anything to do with it I'ma try leaving the sim on my tablet for a week and then try again
Can I use IMEI from my friend's phone if he is on the other carrier (for example, Verizon vs my ATT wireless WIFI internet)? Did you had the same experience?
Alright so let me go down my checklist. I buy a compatible 5g Netgear nighthawk, Wi-Fi hotspot . Then I buy a tablet that supports 5g connection, then I buy a 5g monthly data plan for the tablet, then I use the SIM card that’s suppose to be used for the tablet but instead inside the netgear & I change the imei of the tablet so that my hotspot is being read as cellular data?
Unfortunately if you use a phone IMEI you will have to have a phone line SIM. At least from my understanding. Unless you're carrier will allow you to use a tablet sim in an extra phone you have
Hello, that was awesome but 5g tablets are so expensive! Do you a list of inexpensive 5g tablets that i can buy? I just ordered Netgear Nighthawk M6 Pro 5G (MR6500) WiFi 6E Unlocked Mobile Hotspot Router from eBay and to buy a $600 5g tablet for this to work is unthinkable. What are your thoughts? Thanks
Well you don't need a 5g IMEI of course without one you won't have 5g. My recommendation would be to buy a broken 5g tablet on that. You should be able to get a broken one pretty cheap. You only need the IMEI from it
Don't quote me on this but I believe if it's locked the IMEI should still work. Although the tablet in the SIM wouldn't work. I'm not 100 percent sure though. I've always used att tablets because in my hotspot I use att
This sounds like you skipped the step about setting a priority level on your computer network interface and the program can't connect to the Internet. Sorry for the long response time.
wait, its normal to have the mobile phone carries have this??? in sweden if you have unlimited its unlimited, some might slow down the speed if you use more than 20/50 gb a day but then its reset and you could buy back the full speed, used to be 100gb is 100gb hotspot or not
I also got nighthawk m1 Imei repair with dc unlocker used iPhone 13 mini Imei with cricket/at&t phone service sim m1 nighthawk does not work with it you put it in says connected, then then says disconnected within two seconds
Sorry if this questions is dumb but im trying to understand this. So if i were to change the imei to a 5g phone imei number. I could use an unlimited cellular plan for the nighthawk? A plan with no hotspot data
I see att has an unlimited 5g cellular plan where they dont slow down your data even if its busy i feel like that would be ideal if you could get it to work
It's significantly cheaper on the monthly bill and less likely to have issues as a hotspot is more like a tablet. Tablet lines are usually about $20 a month where phone lines are at least $40 a month.
Maybe you may know the answer to this. I bought the M6 Pro, changed IMEI to my celluar tablet one, bought a data only Sim card from Tmobile, it wouldn't work on my unlocked M6 Pro. I called Tmobile to troubleshoot the issue, they said I had my hotspot on the Sim locked and that I need to enable it. I'm thinking why would I need hotspot, if we can trick Tmobile servers into thinking the M6 Pro is acting like my Tablet. In any case, it seems that the gig is up, at least with Tmobile and they have found a work around behind this method. Unless the hotspot will carry over to my data plan? What you think?
It sounds like the IMEI could be wrong or not working. Are you sure the IMEI was entered right and saved successfully? It's not a blacklisted IMEI and not being used right? It's unlikely they figured this out. It is possible but very unlikely. Hopefully someone else can chime in and verify for you if they are having similar issues. Is it a 5g tablet or 4g tablet your using? Also, once you pay to change the IMEI you can change it on that M6 as many times as you want for free. Maybe try turning the hotspot data on and just see if the data is showing as hotspot usage.
@@TheTravelinTruckah I bought 3 different M6 devices, thinking it was maybe the device, firmware etc. Changed IMEI etc on all 3, tried 2 different SIMs (phone and data sim cards) and it showed Tmobile that I was indeed using Hotspot. So I've returned the M6 devices and bought the GL.iNet GL-X3000. Glad you figured out another method but I am surprised this didn't work and wondering what went wrong.
