A Powerful Air Duster • Air-duster Cans Not Needed
We have another computer-related repair tool that I'm sure most will find handy - a battery-powered air duster.
I am tired of buying those cans of air. They take up room, only last for a short while, and get tossed with hope they get recycled.
The Fresmol Air Duster appears to do the trick. It's small, lightweight, comes with several tools/accessories, and is rechargeable.
Let's see if it actually does the job.
Watch this week's episode to find out.

Amazon Prime Day 2024 has come and gone. I watched several TH-cam videos to see what was out there. You can update this to Win 11. I have 3 of there units and just recently installed Win 11 on one of them without a problem. On another note - I have the 35W versions and I was having issues with 2 of them where the fan right from the start spins up to max RPM and stays like that forever. It becomes terribly noisy at that point. The only workaround is to remove CMOS battery, then fans behave normally then, but only until you have the device connected to power, after disconnection the problem returns. The problem is known and described over the internet as well. I was wondering - have you ever encountered this? Can you also post what RAM modules you have?

At the start of 2021 I wanted to get a new turntable . I still have my current and only champion of all my turntables since January 1983, a Technics SL-B10. It’s been a lifelong companion. Nevertheless I’d had my eye on inexpensive ones and the C3 from Crosley caught my attention with its design. I got one at the start of the year. Out of the box I felt dubious about it. It was supposed to be brand new but it appeared to possibly be a return. Just something about the packaging. Anyway I was happy to have one to try out finally. One thing, the plinth is pretty solid. The arm and controls were disappointing in quality but functional. The C3 setup is the way most basic AT3600L systems are these days. Mine had issues the I eventually fixed after going further down the Crosley rabbit hole of fixing issues. The counterweight was the first difficulty to over come and it was never working right until the last year of the C3's life. It’s a solid piece. Moreover it's trouble is the way it’s attached to the arm. The part that holds it on is very flimsy or bendable to enable the counterweight to screw into place. It never worked right. I had to somewhat force the counterweight on and guestimate where the correct weight would be and then check it with an electronic scale. A I generally maintained it that way until perhaps over two years after buying it. At some point last year I was able to fix the part holds the counterweight in place to work right. I thought the sound was great after it was all setup. I've been a P-Mount listener for most of my adult life. I like the difference in sound of the AT3600L in comparison or to just change it up. The auto stop worked perfectly on most albums but there are quite a few longer sides that cutoff before the end. At some point it started triggering early and that was another side door I fell into finally fixing. The speed out of the box was too fast 33.7 plus and 46.02. Ok for non-critical listening but I can tell the difference. Again I toyed with the speed controls on and off for the same amount of time I did on the other stuff before I got it exact and/or within 2% of its exact speed. I had various stylus’s on it. The original factory conical and then I bought the LP Tunes elliptical version. Then an AT conical to play with. The LP Tunes one is a bit quieter in my experience. The motor was pretty decent to my ears. It seemed to get quieter as time went by. It was a daily driver for a time but I still have my Technics from 1983 fully maintained but the C3 was aesthetically pleasing in my view and to play records on. A little over a month ago the C3 went kaput. IDK why but everything on it was working great and then the AutoStart started going out again and then one day I went to play a record. Turned it on and it spun up and died. I checked everything including power but I’ve had enough of working on it. It was geeky fun at times in the 3 and half years I used it. It was dependable to play some records on. When it was right. That's my C3 story. I only wish it was still working as part of my rig. I eventually may get something better/different.

Hi HWN like the channel and it’s name. I just received mine on Friday to replace a Crosley C3 that gave up the ghost. I’ve got some remarks for your C3 video after I address the Mykesonic. Right out of the box setup went well. Everything appeared within spec but my first concern before the unit arrived was the pitch/speed. I’d read on an Amazon review that the adjustments were outside the unit. Since viewing all the pics available of it, it appears there are no adjustment controls. I assumed they were in the usual spot with holes on the bottom. Turned out not to be true upon arrival. Anyhow, mine works great except 33 setting is 33.61-33.71 and 45 setting is worse at 46.88. I’m teetering on sending it back and going with other units that I know I can adjust easier with a jewelers driver. After examining the underside I might be able to take the bottom panel off to be able to adjust the speed but I don’t know that for sure and I kinda hate opening it up right now being new with whatever warranty. I’m currently running it on 45 by itself thinking maybe it’ll burn in I’ll check it in a few hours. Doubtful it’ll help. I’m curious if you had opened up yours at all? Before I saw your video, I saw the VWestlife video which he did take it apart and you can see where the holes are on the motor but he completely disassembled his for further examination. I’m not gonna go that deep. I was hoping somebody might be able to tell me if I take that panel off the bottom if it’ll help? It almost looks like you have to take it out of the frame. I can’t tell without diving in. I sent a question to him, but he’s a busy guy, as we all are so I wasn’t expecting an answer overnight. Thank you so much for your videos. I’m a subscriber now. Looking forward to some more and exploring your channel and I’ll have some comments for the C3 one lol.

Hello, and thank you for watching! Yes, mine had some speed issues initially. I even posted a note about it the comments, but since removed it. After sitting on the device for a month, the unit started to play records (33 and 45 rpm) fine. Not sure if this is the "burn in" it needed. Not sure you wait that long. Yes, VWestLife took his apart and that's something I haven't done. Now that it's playing fine, I'd hate to ruin it :-) For the cost, there are other equivalent turntables that might suit your need, but the automatic capabilities of this one are hard to beat. Can't wait to read your C3 comments.

@@heywhatisnext I returned the Mykesonic. I wanted to like it but the speed issues were going to nag me until I opened it up and fixed them and I didn’t feel like dealing with something that should be exact or close to it out the door. That and the eventually annoying power on/off announcement. That would drive people nuts in my house for late night listening. It can’t be defeated with rca plugs I didn’t think to check to see if inserting a 1/8 jack in the headphone would. Anyhow there are features I like about it. The main one that sold me is the ffwd/bkwd lever. Not as good as a Linear Tracker but cool.

Have had T-Mobile internet for over a year now. No issue whatever. Live near San Antonio Texas in the Hill Country. I would of asked for a new box to make sure that was not the issue. When we had a land line service, if lighting struck near by it would fry the box. Husband and I Zoom and stream at the same time, have 2 cell phones, 2 laptops and a desk top. Had way more problems with our land line and way more expensive. Being grandfathered in with T-Mobile for $50 a month has been worth it for us as other service companies raise prices.

@heywhatisnext you're welcome. Apart from the repetitious phrase, it looked like a good video. That phrase is excessively over used by many Americans and it does get tiresome hearing it, especially as it is usually completely unnecessary in the context of the commentary. Yours has been the most intelligent response to my comment like this . I'll have another look at your videos

I initially installed T-mobile in February 2024, spent hours, and got download speeds of .4 mb/s and nothing would load, defective gateway, and returned it, got last years model, 2023 but never got around to crawling under my desk and again attaching everything as Frontier after 2 weeks of no internet service finally came back on, then immediately the phone went out for 2 weeks. Note: although you get 2 weeks to try it out T-mobile, that two weeks starts the moment they ship the gateway to you and if you put in 12 hour work days, and do not install it immediately, you may get a week or less to try it out. Since Frontier here in Los Angeles county, again is currently having an area wide crash now estimated to be 3 days or more before they can get the internet back up again, I installed the new old stock T-Moble 2023 model, initially got 125 mg/s but then it soon came down to around 40 mb/s, still better then Frontier's 6 mb/s, yet nothing would download at all on multiple different web sites, even after waiting about 2 minutes to download. Garbage. Now, throughout the day, the internet speed varies between 36-70 mb/s, still much better than Frontier, but I ran a test in the initially late morning, and speeds varied between 70 and 124 mb/s, and thus all over the place. I will wait a few days to see if any firmware is downloaded to the gateway, and whether that may make a difference, but when there is an almost 3 1/2 fold speed difference throughout the day, that is problematic. Down the street on the same street, Frontier fiber optic is extremely fast, but on my end of the street, no fiber optic is available, now for many years, nothing planned and it truly sucks, and, the internet speed has decreased by 10% over the last 6 months from Frontier. Internet access is very variable depending on location from street to street. By the way, the cable truck is frequently seen in my neighborhood due to problems. Just saying.

Another important thing to consider is the top bezel cover. I bought a 705 g4 with the 2400GE with the goal of doing this. However, my unit came with a solid top. For optimum ventalation, you should try finding one of the mesh tops that are on the 65 or 90w models. The tops from the 800 g4s will work, but if it's not a g4, don't bother. It won't fit.
