Great choice in dvd lost in space the original series I have 2 Portable dvd players the first one dates back to 2003 a ventura brand looks as new as when I bought it 21 years ago the screen is only small but it does the job ideal for camping I'm so glad they are still making them because I still buy dvds I have hundreds of them
I have a cd collection from my father, some of my own dvds and a couple of blu-ray movies so I got a 1080p sony blu-ray player so that I can play my physical media. The blu-ray player also comes with built-in apps but those will soon be obsolete because of lack of updates on my player.
Thanks for watching and the question. That device was my EcoFlow River power station. Yes, this will run off of the AC outlet, which this power station also has.
DVDs are still made and are still sold at basically every store from Walmart, big lot, family dollar so on so why wouldn't portable DVD players not still be sold.
Thanks for watching. I totally agree with your assessment, but based on conversations I’ve had with coworkers and friends, they were surprised they were still made.
Great video. I was thinking of getting a similar device except for Blu-Rays. I guess they don't make the equivalent for 4K discs (or at least harder to find). It seems like they're phasing out these players though since it's hard to find name-brand ones now, especially true for the Blu-Ray players.
What confuses me is that you don't see many portable blu ray players. I have only seen Walmart's ONN brand as of late. I bought it since i have a mix of bluray and dvd that i would like to be able to play on the go.
Get an android tablet and a 1tb SD card, and load LineageOS onto the tablet. Don't need to lug around a stack of blurays, can compress them to HEVC if you want, and better battery life not running an optical drive
@@bubexpress5435 the sound quality of magnetic cartridges are vastly superior to a regular stylus, and the movements from yk carrying it around can also mess up audio

Thanks for watching, and that’s awesome you still collect DVDs. I hope to review another portable DVD player in the coming weeks.

Thanks for watching. I do have an eye on something really interesting but need to recoup some funds. Stay tuned.
why not use the included joystick
I tired and it didn’t work. Based on the email, it requires a separate gamepad.
@@heywhatisnext it lack the good old 300vcd 😂
There's a new DVD
Yep, they still make them. Thanks for watching.
14.5 display and they still have audacity to claim that our product is portable 😅
Thanks for watching. Yeah, it’s a bit big, but works great on the wall so I can watch my television dvd collection.
Poor reviewer
I respect your opinion. Thanks for watching.
