    Should you push or pull the Scraper? I Pull to avoid digging uneven depths in the wax.

      On a flat surface, push gives a more even scrape but if it’s standing up then perhaps a pull would be better for that scenario. Have fun! Great video guys!

      Thanks for the comment! We did a straw poll over here (we’re all snowboarders) and everyone prefers to push the scraper instead of pulling, unless there’s a space restriction which prevents you being able to get into a good position to scrape.
      Your comment makes sense about leaving channels in the wax; we always try and scrape as much surface wax off the board as we can, in order to only leave the wax in the pores of the base to do its job and provide glide. Whatever happens, always nose to tail 🙃
      Happy scraping!

    what's the temperature for the iron to put on the snowboard base?

    • @lwkeyzero
      @lwkeyzero ปีที่แล้ว

      the temp for the iron is really based on the wax you use some recommend different temperatures than others, but just like he said in the video, enough to melt, not too much that it smokes.

      Normally they are factory waxed and good for one or two sessions.

      @@NideckerSnowboards does that mean there isn't a factory wax on your boards? I recently bought an Alpha APX. :)

      @@petehelme7714 There's always a factory wax, but some people like to get a temp-specific wax coat on straight away :) Enjoy the Alpha APX, true team favorite there!

    It is far from the best way to do it.
    1. Crayoning is better the dropping, it saves wax
    2. When ironing, you need to warm up the board itself, not only melt the was, so thst ptex cracks expand and was can get in, so when ironing it needs to be done slow enough to warm up the board but fast enough to not damage it.
    3. When scraping, scraper should be positioned with an acute angle and pushed oblique to it, to not damage the board while scraping. Yes you can scratch the board with plastic scraper
