    I found that when you puree one cup of cottage cheese and one package of Hidden Valley Ranch dry mix, it makes a great salad dressing. The plus, plus, is that you are getting added protein.

      Be sure and check the ingredients on those dry ranch seasoning packets. Most have maltodextrine and other not so good junk

    My favorite dessert, which I have almost every day is Greek yogurt mixed up with half a scoop of Orgain chocolate protein powder and a tablespoon of homemade nutella over some frozen strawberries. Holy moly, it's divine😍

      Yes 🎉 I love plain Greek yogurt with chocolate ( I use the one from Autumn Bates ) protein so good and top with roasted coconut flakes or almonds. I make my own Nutella too but haven’t try it on top so yogurt. Thanks for the idea

    Romaine leaves can be used to make a lot of different meals. Leftover steak sliced thin w/ some cheese ,peppers, onions & mayo ,or my favorite, my canned salmon mixed w/ onion & olive oil mayo & black olives. You can also make cheeseburger boats w/ Romaine.

    I did the cottage cheese and pineapple, the lettuce wrap with turkey, cheese and mustard, the bellpepper sandwich with tuna.... soooo good.

    Great snack/mini-meal ideas to easily put together because I can go from full to hungry/hangry quickly. I sometimes take 2 or 4 square slices of cheese, broil them on parchment paper for about 7,8 minutes, let it cool, add sandwich toppings on one end and tightly roll up into a wrap. Soooo good 👌🏼

    My mother used to use the small tomatoes from the garden. Slice four quarters from the top to make like a flower. And filled it with cottage cheese with chopped bell pepper and sprinkled some paprika or chili powder or Cajun seasoning on top. It looked so pretty I would eat it and I never liked tomatoes as a child! Lol

    I started eating cottage cheese again because of you Mayra! I originally got it for my husband to help him gain some weight, but he hated it, so not to waste it… I started to eat it. Wow! It’s so yummy. I tried the one with the pineapple that you suggested from Kroger’s and wow it’s yum! I sometimes add to plain yogurt, one of the great Trader Joe’s seasonings. So many choices. It’s definitely a great snack.
    Thank you for the other ideas as well.
    I work at a big hotel in LV. They provide food, but I bring my own everyday. Doing this has helped me to keep losing weight and not be swayed to something that is not healthy. I only eat from their salad bar and bring my own things to add. And always bring my own extra virgin olive oil. Their dressings are made with vegetable oil.

      You know cottage cheese is really low calorie. Just with thinking it would help hubby “gain” weight. Probably not the food for that. He could add extra carbs with fat to his meals for weight gain.

      @@sand9550 His doctor recommended the cottage cheese for protein and as a snack between meals. He does protein shakes with whole milk instead. He has a few medical issues which led to his weight loss. Eating better foods is what the doctor wants him to do. Lay off the Cheetos and eat real cheese for example.

    I love yogurt bowls for breakfast. I loathe eggs, so it’s challenging to find things that are quick. I learned that I am a snacker! I’ve had to be sure that I have keto friendly snacks at my finger tips. Beef sticks, olives, stuffed celery, nuts, and TJs specialty cheeses with Whisps are saving me! Costco has Magic Spoon in a 2 pack! Yay!

      Oh nice, which flavors do you recommend? We use ratio keto friendly toasted almond granola it's really good it tastes like apple crisp. Even though there are no apples in it, we eat it with greek yogurt for our evening treat.

      @AngelaBrown-jf3vc ratio is so expensive but yummy. I bought some of their cereal the other day and sprinkle that on my yogurt along with a little magic spoon cereal to get that crunch. But where i live kroger is called Fry's food and they have 2 flavors for the granola. Raspberry and coconut vanilla. They're both really yummy so it would be your personal preference. I personally get the raspberry one must of the time.

    Another Cereal with similar protein and carbs that you should try is Wonderworks. They also have a few different flavors, including Peanut butter. Also you should be VERY PROUD for losing all the weight that you've lost.

    Chiming in to second the hearty recommendation for the Magic Spoon cereal. It's the best low carb, high fiber cereal I've ever had. If you like Reese's cups, then mixing the Peanut Butter and the Cocoa flavors taste pretty similar (given that they're cereal, it's not going to be as sweet, of course). I also like to have the Magic Spoon cereal with yogurt, instead of milk. Or am I having the yogurt with the Magic Spoon? Doesn't matter, still tastes good and is less drippy than cereal with milk.
    TL;DR: Magic Spoon is great and so are you! Thanks for the video.

    I really love your content and recipe idea's. Can you do a menu for someone on a budget? I notice that most of the recipes that you do have more pricy foods.     I eat cottage cheese for a snack and sorry but you are adding way too many things and that would not be 2 min. My easy solution - cottage cheese a drizzle of honey and/or cinnamon - Done That's it. Personally some things people mix with dairy do not taste good.

    Doesn't beef jerky have a lot of carbs in it? Also, everyone is commenting on the cost of magic spoon, which I love, but for the cost of a tiny bag of beef jerky, you can buy a filet mignon steak.

      Beef jerky usually has around 3-4 carbs per serving so not bad, plus you can get sugar free for no carbs, and yes it can be pricey, have to look for sales.

    I don't like cottage cheese - texture thing for me.
    The Fruity Magic Spoon - if you like Fruity Pebbles, Fruity Loops or similar...you will love it.

      I buy small curd, low fat cottage cheese. I can't stand the large curd at all!(Don't like the texture of it.) Bty you can make a good sour cream with it too!( just put some cottage cheese, lemon juice, & a little milk in a blender & puree. Or use an immersion blender, that works too.).I may try making the salad dressing, but will make my own dry dressing mix.( That Hidden Valley, has way too much sodium in it! Unless I can find low sodium version.)

    Little confused. The first one you made the cottage cheese with the baby bell peppers. You said the cottage cheese has 14 G of protein and then at the end you said that whole bowl has 20. There's no way because nothing else has protein in there except for the cottage cheese. Peppers has no protein..... And just be careful. A lot of people don't know that cottage cheese has lots and lots of sodium, but there is a brand out there that is no salt which I think is Hood.....

      There’s heaps of brands that do not have loads of sodium. If you’re that concerned make your own. It’s super easy.

      It is when he want healthy instead of harmful dyes, chemicals, seed oils, high fructose corn syrup. Real food instead of preservatives, junk costs more. It's merely a choice, idea, suggestion so you don't have to eat it 😂

    I had to go off keto bc I couldn't afford it. I gained so much weight an just turned 70 on July 4th. I feel awful. And I am very angry at myself. 😢

      I am 70 & started keto/low carb a few years ago then went carnivore. I found that they all were less expensive because of not buying packaged, processed foods. I spend way less on carnivore than anything.

      Go low carb and don’t be hard on yourself. You can do it. I make a lot of my food. Low carb granola is easy to make. Just google it. I eat a lot low carb mediterranean type food. So good!

      Hey there, I've found if you buy the best of what you can afford, not the best of the best i.e. organic, grassfed, or whatever, it's pretty affordable to eat low carb/keto. I shop the sales, so I eat the meats that are on sale only, & then I cook meals utilizing those varieties. There isn't always a ton of variations in meals, but I'm healthier.
      Also we found most stores in our area put meat at higher sales during the 3rd wk of the month, so after buying a freezer, we started stocking up for the whole month on meat during that wk & saving a ton on our meat. It was pretty easy to figure out how much to buy for 2 people, 30 days, 60 meals of meats at so many oz per meal. Now, we've pretty much got the system down, & sometimes buy extra chicken, so the next month we can buy extra beef & get some different variety by switching up & playing with our budget a bit.
      We've also noticed butter tends to go on sale several times a yr too, & you can buy it around the holidays for $1.99-2.50/#2. Just watch for sales.
      I personally don't do that Kerry Gold butter, bc it's outta my budget, & many of the docs I follow say just buy what's in your budget bc it's better than eating carb laden foods. Sure, it's not the 100% top rated products, but we can only buy/eat what our budgets can allow...
      Anyway, I hope some of these tips might help you, we're not picking on your choice to give up BTW, but rather trying to help with things to encourage you along in the journey.
      Also, I lost 100# then gained about 60 or so back bc I started eating crap, so now I'm back on my journey again. I can tell you nobody judges bc you gained weight... we're all human, Food tastes good, & the hardest thing to do is self-regulate, which is why we all try to reach out & offer support, tips, & love whenever possible!
