Almost the same for me. I'm 64. Down 100 lbs. Lift 3x a week, cardio daily. Loose skin everywhere. I would like to have the surgery, especially on my arms. It's on my goal list.
Thank you for being so open and honest. You are refreshing. I've dropped about 145 pounds. I don't say lost because what's lost can be found, and I don't want to find it again. 😊 Anyway, I had the extra skin removed from my stomach but not the other surgeries as I'm 72 and figure I can live with it. But, honestly, if I had the finances, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I wear 3/4 sleeves to hide the skin on my arms and don't wear shorts like I use to my the upside is I feel so much better. Thank you for all your videos and how you help us with our weight loss and keeping it off journey. ❤
I’m 70 and lost 40 lbs.. have about 10 more lbs to lose.. I do have loose skin but won’t get any surgery done.. thank God my husband loves me the way I look..
I would love to see your scar revision journey! I’d like to have a Mommy makeover one day. I still have plenty of weight to lose from baby #3 but am very interested in an honest experience to take into consideration. Thanks for always being so open, honest and positive about such common topics us woman have questions about. You’re so inspiring! Sending 🫶🏼 from Fresno, Ca!
I’m 75 years old and just discovered you! I’m so very proud of you and thankful you’re healthy and helping others be healthy! You’re sweet, humble, honest and darling! ❤
I would love to see a vlog on that journey!! It’s so amazing how you’ve lost all that weight and you look so fantastic girl!! I had implant surgery recently from a breast reconstruction due to breast cancer! And i am still healing but i wear the scars with pride😊😊❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🎉🎉
Scars over excess weight all day, every day. No contest, no comparison! You look incredible, Mayra! Be proud of how far you come! All the best with your scar retouching!
Lost 289lbs. My husband said it is my choice. However, due to other health issues he doesn't want me to take the risk. The only thing I want is my arms. My legs i can't get done due to having lymphedema. But right now we are saving for a house so I don't want to pay for it. Yes please share the journey.
After loosing that much weight, wouldn't your health insurance cover it? You should look into that. Congratulations on your achievement by the way 👏 that's amazing!
Hey all, My partner and I lost 175 lbs between the 2 of us doing carnivore and then keto. We used fasting and intermittent fasting and neither of us have major loose skin issues. We sear that this is what helped us. We would regullary intermiitent fast using 16/ 8 and then did several 24 hours and up to 72 hours. As she said, everyone is individual but this is worth a try to avoid pain and scars as she said.
@@jelemilnot an accurate statement. Yes age has something to do with in but also fasting and autophagy has a lot to do with diminishing the amount of loose skin.
I love how you are so open about your weight experiences. You are a beautiful person inside and out and I can tell because of the way you’re always trying to help people. So thanks for being you because you brighten my days and weight loss journey as I’m sure you do others too! I just wanted to say thanks and glad I found you and God bless! ♥️🙏🙏🙏
I’ve had so many surgeries for various reasons! Scars are nothing more than battle wounds! Wear them with pride. I’ve also had a tummy tuck so I get that scar being the worst! Can’t wait to see your before and after! Best of luck!
You are such an inspiration!! I think it would be great for you to video the process of having your scars removed. You are so honest and forthright! Thank you!!
You are so inspiring not only with how much you share of your recipes and overall journey but with how positive you are about your body image! Discussing loose skin after weight loss is a VERY senisitive topic for so many people. I personally know it is the reason I am scared to lose weight (again) but listening to you talk so openly about it helps me because your heart is truly in the right place in how you want your experience to help others. Thank you! And YES! I'd love to see the continuation of your new surgery journey!
I'd love to see your scar revision journey. I have had 4 c-sections and I may be getting a scar revision in the future on my c-section scar as it has been causing me some issues lately. I'd love to see what one entails.
Thank you so much for being so transparent and honest with us! You truly are an inspiration!! Your genuine heart and kindness is so appreciated and will naturally draw people into you! Yes, please share your journey, before and after photos I believe you mentioned. God bless you!
Thank you for sharing this and being so open and vulnerable. A lot of “influencers“ that have lost weight hide the steps they took before / after. I’m 33 and starting my journey; I’m 201.00 and I’m trying to get back down to 125.
Thank you for being honest about this. I’m losing weight, also getting more lose skin. Not sure I will have the courage to do the surgeries you’ve had. However, your story is encouraging to me.
You're just wonderful, I had to have a knee replacement because of a severe torn meniscus. You made me feel so much better about having this scar. I have lost 28 lbs , and I want to get 180 lbs. You're so great just talking and showing things to eat and making it feel so much easier. I enjoy your channel so much. I made your wraps for dinner and dessert. I made the yogurt with the hard shell with sea salt to make look special, and no one knew I put it in dessert glasses 😋, my husband never knew. Thank you so much Elizabeth
I'm currently thinking about the weight loss surgery because I weigh 270 lbs, but I'm 60 years old and kinda scared. I'm diabetic and need to get healthier, so I can hopefully, be blessed with many more birthdays!! You look great, and keep pursuing what makes you happy!!🎉🥰🤗
Had WLS at an older age and I PROMISE you'll never regret it. Even with all the "cons", which I do have, I'd do it again in a heartbeat HOWEVER, you've gotta commit to low-carb eating for the rest of your life, really. Those of us that get to the point we need WLS are insulin-resistant, and no matter what, in a matter of time, we will gain weight when we eat a lot of carbs. Don't get me wrong- carbs are not the devil, but knowing your body and how you respond to sugars/carbs will prevent ever dealing with obesity again. Believe me, I've been on both sides of the coin, and the WLS is just a TOOL to control the insulin resistance. Much love and luck juju being sent to you on your journey!!! ❤️
thank you for this video. Often, many have unrealistic expectations and/or believe we have had constant surgeries if we've lost a lot of weight. I lost 138 lbs back in 2007 from Gastric Bypass and never have had addtl surgery. I kept my skin elasticity by eating protein and staying active but I never was a gym person. I walk and watch my eating by eating a KETOVORE lifestyle.. Heavy meat keto.. no processed foods. I would love to view a full video on your upcoming surgery and recovery.. May God Bless you journey and recovery.
Thank you so much for sharing. I've been feeling so damn low about loose skin but your positivity and contentment with where you are really boosts my spirit and makes me so hopeful I'll feel the same way. Xx
