    Eating protein-fat and fiber definitely prevents hunger between meals. No longer snacking which is a sustainable huge win. 👍❤️🇨🇦

    Change 1/2 cup spinach to 1-1/2 cups Kale for more greens & less oxalates. Good recipe 👍

    I was hesitant to try this recipe. I didn't think it would be sweet enough. I assumed it would be too tart. But I was wrong! It is shockingly good! So refreshing and filling!

    I know smoothies are the best way to fuel myself. Do you have any tips on how to get used to the mindset of drinking a meal, or a smoothie bowl vs having a big salad etc?

    • @fruitsnveggies_smoothies
      @fruitsnveggies_smoothies 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As far as mindset goes, it starts with your why, what will continue to happen if you don't make changes to your current diet? If you do start making smoothies, it doesn't have to be a replacement meal day 1. You can make a small smoothie using your favorite fruit(s) in addition to what you usually eat. Over time, you'll find as you add more ingredients like protein, you won't need to eat as much as before.

    Our local grocery stores have been out of my favorite Skyr for weeks now. I love the Thor brand because its thick like fage. I can find some siggies ( siggys?) At the natural grocers. But they always seem to only stock the flavored and never plain. So for now I'm back to greek yogurt.

    Hi Autumn!! Thank you for sharing this most delicious looking smoothie!! I'm definitely going to try this recipe. I love your protein powder so much! Is there any other fruit that I can use in place of pineapple? I've developed an allergy to it, in my old age. Ugh!! Oh, and I can help you with the proper pronunciation of 'natto,' it's: Nah Tow..... :) It's one of my favorite toppings for hot rice. Take care! Thanks again for sharing this recipe!

    The cauliflower rice is brilliant. As I’m lazy, couldn’t one add just a slice or two of the lemon rather than zesting and juicing?

    • @mamokamika4212
      @mamokamika4212 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Lemon zest adds flavor. The other white part of lemon peel - kind of bitter and thick and might not blend well. Will taste bad if add all, so please just get the lemon zest and its juice.

    • @AutumnBates
      @AutumnBates  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm so glad you like the idea, Cheryl! You could try a whole slice of lemon, however the pith (the white part) can be bitter. You could always just use lemon juice without the zest if you like!

    spinach is supposed to be one of the best for you vegetable, what do you mean by anti nutrients?

    • @faithdarkholme7079
      @faithdarkholme7079 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Many plant foods have anti-nutrients that can be removed or inactivated by soaking, sprouting, or cooking the food before consumption.

      Glucosinolates and goitrogens in cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, kale) can prevent the absorption of iodine, which can then interfere with thyroid function and cause goiter. Those who already have an iodine deficiency or a condition called hypothyroidism are most susceptible.
      Lectins in legumes (beans, peanuts, soybeans) and whole grains can interfere with the absorption of calcium, iron, phosphorus, and zinc.
      Oxalates in green leafy vegetables, tea, beans, nuts, and beets can bind to calcium and prevent its absorption.
      Phytates (phytic acid) in whole grains, seeds, legumes, and some nuts may decrease absorption of iron, zinc, magnesium, and calcium.
      Saponins in legumes and whole grains may interfere with normal nutrient absorption.
      Tannins in tea, coffee and legumes may decrease iron absorption.

      Hi Jen! You can use hemp seeds to replace protein powder in our smoothie recipes, just keep in mind you will need quite a few tablespoons to reach your protein needs. However, for the best plant based protein options, you can check out my blog post here: www.autumnellenutrition.com/post/the-best-high-protein-foods-for-weight-loss-your-complete-guide-full-food-list
