    People saying Hades is bad are off their rocker. MAYBE it was overhyped. MAYBE. But that just means it isn't actually the greatest roguelite ever and maybe not in the top five games OF ALL TIME. There's still a huge amount of distance between "near the peak of gaming as an activity" and "bad".

      Yeah, like I said in the video I do think it is truly people who just like to have hot takes and want to rile people up (or have a taste in games that I just 100% wouldn't trust), but I'd largely assume it is the former. People like to paint everything into the black & white box of either "best" and "bad", and it is very annoying at best, and harmful at worst.

      @@sshim950 not liking a game is fine, but saying a game is bad just because you don't like it, is totally different. There is a lot of things that i like that i know are bad

      @@sshim950 example: i have a lot of fun playing 3d games with bugs, because it's hilarious seeing how broken some games can get, but i know that a game like that is a bad game.

      Hades was, and still is, responsible for a lot of small evolutions in the gaming sphere in terms of game design and quality, and that evolution has also allowed people to misrepresent how good Hades is by pointing to people improving upon Hades BECAUSE the game came out, and saying "it's bad because the game wasn't made yesterday"

      But Hades IS the best roguelike though...Story telling in roguelike is usually meh but Hades's story and character interaction is like no other, While also having an amazing combat to balance it out, not to mention there's new interactions after every death and story advancements too...What other games have that?

    This game is looking really fun! Love the enemy variety. It would be nice to see a bigger evolution in the character as the game progresses. It's neat having a ton of different characters to pick from but does it feel a bit repetitive doing the same moves over and over with only stat changes to them as you progress during each mission?

      I think this game is very replayable, the characters each have varieties of builds. Of of my favourite games at the moment and I have been playing for more than 6 months

      You get different starting talents each time so it can shape how you make your run work. As you level your chars. up they unlock better talents, more rare that spawn more frequently. It's a great game, it's in EA still so they are actively developing it. There is still about 6-9 months left in EA.

    I dont hate hades but I have a strong distain for meta-progression and I think hades made meta-progress a good bit more main stream

      this is valid, and the thing I point to when I say that games "misunderstood _why_ Hades is great", but also if a person were to point to it and use it as a reason why the rest of what is so good about it is irrelevant... I don't know, man. I'd also likely attribute the real rise of meta-progress to Vampire Survivors as of recent.

    people who is comparing this game to hades they need to remember its still early access . hades did not have lots of content on early access . and that what i feel this game is lacking at its current state. also my opinion on the game is overall positive so people dont confuse my comment otherwise .

    The timer is a no no for me. i Can't play this game with this mechanic. The game literally transports you to the boss arena. i Like when games give the player a choice rather than force you to do something. They should take inspiration in risk of rain 2., for example? when the timer hits zero, you can choose to fight the boss or no, but if you don't, he gets harder, or the next level gets harder. something like this.

      Ehh, I understand what you mean, but I feel like it’s a core part of the game that you only get so much time before you have to fight that without the urgency, it would be piss easy. A difficulty curve that scales with time ala ROR2 like you said would fix that, but risk of rain was designed with that time scaling (AND ABILITY TO keep going until you die without a defined end point- which this game doesn’t have the ability to in a FUN way) in mind, whereas this was not. If in this game had Rors scaling you’d die very quickly or not notice the scaling at all, depending on how they do it. because the way the player scales in power in ror2 , with powerful items that make it so your 20 times stronger then you started 15 minutes in. I feel like the devs of this game knew they would turn a lot of people away with the game concept they had, and accepted that. I don’t think it’s something that needs to change even if you don’t enjoy it personally. I also think that not having the ability to just not fight a boss and just keep going until you die is not a flaw when the gameplay doesn’t support that.
      Sorry about the rant, I got carried away lol.

      They could remove the timer for the easy difficulties and add it in the higher difficulty you go

      I hate timers, so I understand your feelings, but I think they just need to take it easy with it.
      If they made that the "base area" was time free during the whole run, it would already help a lot to not feel like you're doing something wrong when you try to think while buying upgrades.

      Maybe just forcing the players back to base and locking them in besides just a portal to the boss? It feels very unintuitive to do a last min tp back to base just to spend everything you have got or not getting anything from it.
