A couple things i learned from doing this challenge myself. It took a couple weeks and i just finished (i did it on a large world and didn't focus on it for most of the playthrough) 1) instead of using featherfalling potions which can be annoying to make at scale, simply use wings. Keep flying until they're completely spent, then hold space and glide down each tunnel using the clentaminator 2) make beds at the top of each tunnel. Then once you're done spraying, simply use a magic mirror to teleport to the top. Makes it much faster to move to the next spot 3) monitor your edges. I sectioned my crimson off with a 3 block gap and stopped vines from spawning and it still broke through and kept spreading. Thankfully i caught it quickly and was able to clentaminate it. 4) once you're done spraying, you probably missed a spot. Dont pull your hair out trying to find it. There's a fantastic github page that lets you upload your world file and it'll find all those pesky spots you missed. I won't put the link here because i know youtube doesn't like comments with links sometimes, but trust me, it's super helpful. Also, you're gonna need more money than you think. Way more money. I ended up using about 30k solution if I remember correctly. It's a ton.
and i ussaly go with a 5 wide hole and then also 4 or 5 layers of Stone slab walls so my border is 15 tiles wide its overkill but it looks so much nicer then a 5 wide pit
Shoulda fought Brain. Phase 1 is where it drops all its stuff to make the pickaxe. You could then mine crimtane all around the world until you get enough. Then you couldve gotten a better pick from there. Its a route that not alot of people take, but it is technically not an exploit.
Once I dedicated myself to destroying an entire crimson pre-hardmode because I was in such a mindset that I couldn’t focus on much it helped a lot. Digging kept me sane.
It's been like 6+ years since we last played terraria, but as our gf has gotten her first pc, we've been nudging her on the idea to try it out. This video has gotten me much more excited to play now
When I tried getting this achievement in my world, I couldn't for the life of me find the last 1% of Hallow that remained. Considering how this video went, you might think I'm about to say it was on a Sky Island, but it actually wasn't. No, it was a lot worse, I'd purified all of the Crimson, artificial Corruption(I wanted every boss trophy and Wrath Potions) and the Hallow that had infected my underground desert. The walls of the desert kept messing me up as I looked on my map to see if I could find the last 1% of infected blocks, and when I learned about Biome Sight potions, I still wasn't able to find it with them. After a few hours of searching, I caved and downloaded TEdit to find the last hallow blocks. The last 1% was 2 blocks of Pearlsand that had fallen down one of the hellevators I was using to purify the world with the Clentaminator. They fell all the way down to hell without me noticing and were surrounded by lava, so I never found them on my own. By the way, you can reset the Dryad's status check by leaving the world and re-entering, no need to wait the full day cycle!
I just like how he spent a few hours possibly trying to raise mining speed and even left his pc AFK for a while so he wouldn't have to spend 40 minutes mining around the biome again.
I remember when the Philosopher's Stone was such a rare drop that I would spend days hunting and killing mimics, just so I could drop my potion sickness by a quarter with a the Band of Myths. Now you have a decent chance for a Mimic to drop two of them per kill. It's hilarious.
I love your videos, not only because of the insane dedication, editing, but you have such a lovely soothing voice that's really nice to listen too when doing other stuff! I also love how happy you seem even in the most dire situations xd
Couldnt you have just spammed dynamite to remove the crimsone? Edit:i thaight i would clarify, dynomight can be purchased in copius amounts prehardmode and can destroy large amounts of land. But after typing the comment i remembered that demon/crimson alters can spawn on evil blocks and thus prevent them from being destroyed and with no way to purify them tou would need to advance to hardmode anyways. I made a mistake. Edit 2:fixed a typo. And also I have been notified that you can blockhead the tiles under the alter so it is in fact possible prehardmode while also doing it before the dryad spawns
@@felcakes2153 purification powder is locked behind the dryad. But I actually dint know about being able to blockhead away the tiles under the alter, you just need to have a pickaxe capable of mining the crimstone. The more you know
I had NO IDEA that smashing them no longer caused infection points! I always made a habit of quarantining my evil biomes, both before hardmode and after the V spawn, and then I'd spend time fishing to collect hardmode ore in order to keep the evil blocks from spawning. I completely missed the change in 1.4.4! This changes EVERYTHING lmao

It's a ton.
GUNGIR YOURE NUMBER 46 ON TRENDING
they should add that dialogue as a feature now, patching in her shock and awe if it's already pure before she arrives
5:47 to answer all your questions about anti-evil tunnels once you know you need a three-block gap.
and i ussaly go with a 5 wide hole and then also 4 or 5 layers of Stone slab walls so my border is 15 tiles wide its overkill but it looks so much nicer then a 5 wide pit
I feel like any problem in this challenge can be solved by literally just not building a house for the dryad to move into.
getting WHAT on the way down?!
Well done. I've stopped bothering to 100% the game about 3 updates ago because I got sick of getting new achievements. Maybe one day... maybe.
LOVE YOUR CONTENT GUGNIR!!!! :)
Shoulda fought Brain. Phase 1 is where it drops all its stuff to make the pickaxe. You could then mine crimtane all around the world until you get enough. Then you couldve gotten a better pick from there. Its a route that not alot of people take, but it is technically not an exploit.
gunged up on a thursday
erm
you what
Once I dedicated myself to destroying an entire crimson pre-hardmode because I was in such a mindset that I couldn’t focus on much
it helped a lot. Digging kept me sane.
due to personal problems. I wasn’t just a massive crimson hater
Lol I literally didn’t go to hard mode As a kid since I thought it would ruin my world
13:35 What you’re here for.
I loved this video, prolly one of my favorite videos of all time, thank you for making this, it was an amazing experience.
blud doesn't even know about the terraformer 😂😂
Erm, actually, this weapon is only optainable after defeating Moonlord 🤓🤓🤓
@Bruh-dz3nr Erm, its a tool not a weapon 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
Uhm... He does and explained why he did not use it
Everyone just casually missing the joke
people’s joke realization dropped to a whopping 0 when this comment appeared
That's a fresh idea, loved the video! I wish we would get some reward from the dryad for cleansing the world. Hope they add something in 1.4.5
The reward for this should be an unskippable, 15-minute cutscene of your character getting it on with the Dryad.
put this guy in jail pls
No it shouldn’t
It's been like 6+ years since we last played terraria, but as our gf has gotten her first pc, we've been nudging her on the idea to try it out.
This video has gotten me much more excited to play now
7:10 DESPITE THESE WHAT?
As someone who’s never played terraria before, I didn’t realize it had this much content and I’m genuinely interested in playing it now. Great video.
Hot take, they should give you another slot upgrade for getting all the achievements.
Keep up the good work! Almost at 500k!
Excuse me, 1:07, What is this heresy my eyes have witnessed 🤢
Dont see anything wrong

Can't wait for Relogic to add unique dialogue if you purify the world before she arrives JUST because of this challenge
7:18 despite these what? 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
That’s crazy
"despite these negatives"

Holy ̶s̶h̶i̶t̶ sand that's unlucky
"as long as I dont kill these three bosses then the dryad wont spawn" 10:19 -_-
Wait I didnt finish the final minute oopsie
I just like how he spent a few hours possibly trying to raise mining speed and even left his pc AFK for a while so he wouldn't have to spend 40 minutes mining around the biome again.
Yoooooo babe wake up new Gungnir vid just dropped
The fact that he didn't use any biome sight potion makes it even harder
what a legend for not using it
48 on trending on a terraria video???
I remember when the Philosopher's Stone was such a rare drop that I would spend days hunting and killing mimics, just so I could drop my potion sickness by a quarter with a the Band of Myths. Now you have a decent chance for a Mimic to drop two of them per kill. It's hilarious.
why did you dig? there is a thing called dynamite lol
Happy that you didn't get out-of-bounds corruption in your world.
1:41 what if you just would make no houses ?
Then the steampunker cant move in
@@vaughanedwards8892 Couldnt you then just mine the corruption ?
@@demex4548 yes, but thats boring and tedious
@@vaughanedwards8892 Thats fair
This video was so well put together and detailed love it!!!!
7:18 nahhhh bro you said the n word
Whaaaaaaaat
He said negatives
“misteak” xD
you can still use blockswap or purification powder on indestructible tiles
@@felcakes2153 purification powder is locked behind the dryad. But I actually dint know about being able to blockhead away the tiles under the alter, you just need to have a pickaxe capable of mining the crimstone. The more you know
@@Goteryup you can shimmer vile powder into purification powder
@@Goteryup you can shimmer vile powder into purification powder
I had NO IDEA that smashing them no longer caused infection points! I always made a habit of quarantining my evil biomes, both before hardmode and after the V spawn, and then I'd spend time fishing to collect hardmode ore in order to keep the evil blocks from spawning. I completely missed the change in 1.4.4! This changes EVERYTHING lmao
BROTHER FOURTEEN SKY BLOCKS OF CRIMSON KEPT ME FROM THIS ACHIEVEMENT
Oh hi early people
Hello

Hi
Hey
"at least a few months" that hurt so much to hear considering we've been waiting for YEARS now

A 1 A.M. recommendation of gameplay of a game I don't play, sounds great!
"Manually destroy every crimson block in the world..."
And that's why I never purified Terraria myself. I just got bored long before getting to that point, where the greatest explosives ended up being tedious.
Imagine Gungnir decides to do a challenge that combines all of his other challenges:
How I beat Terraria with quadruple enemy spawns using 0 i-frames while my only pre-hardmode weapon is chosen from a bot (every minute) and my health is also stolen from enemies while I cant attack and purify the world without letting the dryad move in
Getting ranger armor and ammo reservation potions would have saved you some money, since the colored solutions are affected by ammo consumption buffs.
Also an ammo box. A permanent 20% buff for just 10 gold in hardmode.
"You should try harder"
VS
"JESUS CHRIST, HOW MUCH DID YOU DO!?"
this brings back memories of when I decided to purify the world and missed 6 hallow stone that were cut off from spreading by hardmode ores and ended up wasting me hours of my life trying to find them
