How right you are. I have had acid reflux for many years. All the medications apparently have not helped me at all. I have been trying to alter my diet. I am better after cutting out carbonated beverages, tomato, garlic and other pungent spices, and other foods that he mentioned. Hasn't cured it, but it is better. I am a small eater, so that isn't a problem. I have inflammation behind my vocal cords that the throat doctor suspects was caused by acid reflux, so I am hoarse a lot of the time. Not sure if it will ever go away.?? Good luck to you.

I had severe Gerd last year but now I have mild acid reflux sometimes..I took medicines for some months but I overeat a lot.Sometimes fasting helps.Eat only when you feel hungry and do not overeat. And of course avoid those foods shown in the video or take very few quantities.I had all issues shortness of breath, mild chest pain, regurgitation but when I take tablets such Rebez DSR,then most symptoms disappear..I know the mild chest pain is due to acid reflux. You can also have pain in the ribs but whenever I eat less and take tablets, symptoms disappear.Acid reflux is a lifelong nuisance. We have to just avoid certain foods and also fast sometimes.Fasting for a day or two in a month is fine.We need to give our stomach some rest too..It works daily. We just need to have a balanced lifestyle.Yoga and meditation can also help.

I was able to cure mine with d-limonene to help get rid of the bacteria. Then supplement with betaine hcl during meals to reacidify the stomach. Then beet flow beet leaf extract (not beet root) to make sure bile is flowing to neutralize the acid before it hits the small intestine. It's important not to supplement with betaine hydrochloride unless you are also taking beet flow to get bile flowing. Bile salts can be a substitute to beet leaf extract, to supplement bile flow, but NOT with your meal. It'll just neutralize the acid in the stomach where it's not supposed to. Take bile salts (ox bile) in between meals because it's alkaline.
I eat whatever I want now and I have zero reflux. The bacteria cannot survive when there is a properly acidic environment. The lower esophageal sphincter will close tightly when it gets the signal via properly acidic stomach.
I went from not being able to eat hardly anything I like, "trigger foods" to eating whatever I want again. Last night I ate a burrito gigante, spicy queso, and had a coke, and went to bed sleeping on my side with no symptoms.

I’ve been having problems with my acid refluxes for almost all my life. On top of that I was overweight, weighing around 185 lbs. I’ve started to work on my eating habits and calorie intake along with more exercise. This helped a lot. I’ve lost over 35 pounds within the last 6 months. I’ve been having a lot less reflux problems as I only experience them when I eat large amounts of greasy and spicy foods. This video has helped me not only on my weight loss journey but has ridden me from almost all symptoms of acid reflux. Thank you so much 😊

This video is very helpful for me. I was diagnosed with GERD is nasty disease. People often think is only heartburn and feel acidic taste in mouth. I can list what I experience:
-difficulty swallowing there was time when I can't even swallow custard or mashed banana
-discoloration on teeth. My teeth in generał weak do to acid
    -chronic cough
    -upper stomach pain
    -diziness
-arm muscle pain a rare symptom of GERD
    -headaches
-acidic taste in back on throat that make cough almost every couple seconds
But I just get my treatment plan and also list of food to avoid and food that beneficial and I really ready to follow this rules. Start from tomorrow and see doctor after 2 months again

  • @osmanvincent1975
    @osmanvincent1975 2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

I would like to suggest a quick try of an alternative approach that might work. Just drink a couple glasses of water and jump up and down for a couple minutes to jiggle the stomach back down to its normal position. No harm or cost in giving this approach a try. You should know quickly, in a couple days, if this approach helps.
Forty years ago, I did an activity which forced part of my stomach up through or past the diaphragm. It was a couple months later that I suddenly started having severe stomach pains. I was initially misdiagnosed by a doctor as having ulcers. It was a couple of years of misery before I realized that the doctor was wrong and I had gastric reflux disease, or GERD. Often, GERD happens naturally without a clear cause. More so with older people. Normally, the esophagus sphincter and the diaphragm sphincter muscles line up and reinforce each other. If part of the stomach is pushed or pulled up through the diaphragm, the sphincter muscles don’t line up and stomach acid can more easily leak into the esophagus, causing GERD.
Other people suggest drinking warm or hot water to relax the muscles, I would suggest cold water so that the heavy water will stay in the stomach longer. I would also suggest doing it first thing in the morning so the water won’t affect the digestion process on other food. It may take a repeat on a few successive days for the esophagus to adapt to the new longer length for the stomachs to stay in its new proper position. I would repeat the process anytime I got heartburn or acid taste in my mouth. I have been trouble free for over 35 years now, and can eat anything. I later learned of a gastroenterologist in Michigan who recommends this process also; maybe others now also.
The body needs strong hydrochloric acid in the stomach to trigger the esophageal sphincter to close, to break down bulk foods generally, and to specifically separate protein into the amino acid components to be effectively absorbed into our blood stream from the small intestines for use by our body to make new proteins. Most or all GERD medicines block the production of or neutralize the hydrochloric acid which then interferes with protein digestion and interferes with esophageal sphincter closing. Both of those actions are counterproductive.

Nice and informative video... I am suffering from GERD since 2017. Got to know by performing endoscopy... tried many medicines of all types... also I do sleep on the incline bed. But condition gets worst at night bed time... too much cough in my throat and it is sticky cough... It then creates anxiety and sometimes breathing problem due to cough in throat. I changed many lifestyle stuffs but no much improvement. Yes, I need to take much time while eating... but other than that I follow almost all stuffs you mentioned.
I am male, 43 years, 58 kg weight. Pure vegetarian and no bad habits.
Stress is also one of the biggest reasons for such condition.
Does GERD cause weight loss over a period of time? Not sure but I lost almost 9 kgs since 2017.
