A quick update on the Uptowns as of Mid May 2021! I’ve been wearing them a lot recently and they have started to develop a really nice patina. They also continue to be some of the most comfortable boots I own. Subscribe for more reviews! Thanks!

Another one bites the dust due to supply chain issues. Hopefully they will be back in the boot/shoe business at some point, very nice quality at fair prices..and made in the US.
Yeah. Sad to see as they’re located in my hometown. Thankfully I have two pairs from them that I wear everywhere.

I order a pair of them from Marks he helped me too ( really cool ) I just order a pair loafers too and after a few weeks LOVE THEM !!! OMG Mark was great he has a customer for live !
His stuff is amazing! A true small town (and for me) locally made brand. The uptowns just get better with every wear.

Nathan and all his people that seen the review of Mark Albert don't get me wrong I love my boots and Loafers that I picked up 5 months BUT I have a problems with the leather soles on the Pebble loafers they are separating from the welt and I have contacted via Email Mark direct and he won't return emails soo this tells he doesn't support his customer's after the sale ZERO Warranty on his shoe and boots So when he said on his website LAST PAIRS - FINAL SALE he not going to stand behind what they make and sell . I hate to say that I will never buy a thing from Mark Alberts again I paid $200 for loafers and its going to cost me $200 to fix them and I only worn them are the house for 5 months WOW Mark gives BAD customer support Nathan just want to drop a email so no one has the problem with this co too
I got a pair of higgins mill allen edmonds about 2 weeks ago and they were really nice to wear right out of the box.

Yeah they don’t have very much stock right now. I believe the factory is really low of staff + the typical industry delays are contributing to this. The only uptowns I see for sale are the cinnamon pebble ones.

They really are quite nice! The havana brown cxl leather seems simple at first but it’s starting to take on quite a bit of character.

The boots look awesome but unfortunately they're going out of business. Their site has like 2 styles remaining and that's it. I wish I found out about these sooner.

Do you recommend 1/2 size or a full size down from sneakers? I normally take a 10 in boots- Alden, Red Wings, Grant Stone. I've read that the uptown boot runs a full size large compared to sneakers. Thanks
Well I’d say it depends on how wide your foot is. If it’s normal or narrow maybe 9.5 I wear 9.5 in almost all boots and loved the fit. It was only a little loose in the back due to the larger heel like I started in the video. My iron rangers are size 9 and they were just a tad small but I stuck with them. I would go with 10 if you usually wear 10. Make sure you keep them in proper condition for a return just in case though!

Which is better these or the Capt?
These by far in terms of quality and comfort. The look is a bit different, less sleek and more rugged, but still quite nice. They’re also one of my top three most comfortable boots and made in my hometown! 🇺🇸
looks like standard CXL loose grain on those yah?
Yeah. My black oak streets have it in a bad way. These are pretty much flawless besides that top portion. Its usually mostly covered by any pants I wear so honestly its not really a big deal

@@NathanKnepper i went with the waxy brown from (i think) Tasman tannery. I'm looking for a service boot I can really abuse and I think these'll do the trick!
Nice! I wasn’t sure if he had any more made with Tasman’s leather. I think their tannery is closed or closing down soon... I have the Outriders in the brown waxed. Super nice boots. I need to review them soon but theres soooo many videos to work on!

Comparable. They’ll definitely be more comfortable out of the box. I do consider the iron rangers to be one of the most comfortable boots out there. My Whites MP Shermans are good too.
@@NathanKnepper ah okay thank you. I just got some Iron Rangers that I'm still breaking in. Looking at some Nick's Falcon boots or these to wear every other day with the Rangers.
Oooooohhhh. I really want to see if I can get a pair of Falcons with a slightly more aggressive sole made with rough out leather. I need a second pair of work boots to wear on and off with my Truman Cattail Grizzly Uplands
Don't take nearly as long to break in I can say that much, but it's really hard to compare since my uptowns are about 5 months old, iron rangers are going on 8 years and are perfectly formed to my feet now. Can't go wrong with either, but if they still have your size (going out of business😔) then these Mark Alberts can't be beaten for the price.

Well you see, when you start a new business theres always a chance that things wont work out. Unfortunately, the covid-19 event crippled this guy’s business so hard he wasn’t able to recover. If you’re interested there is more information on his instagram. Fortunately, I have two pairs of his boots :)
The boots look elegant but 1 flaw, the stitches run all the way thru the sole,not a good practice in shoe making .
Well perhaps if it was a single stitch. These and many of my other boots are goodyear welted. The stitch you see on the outside just holds the welt and sole together. You don’t see the second inside stitch as it is covered by the insole and does not exit the boot on the bottom of the sole. Only the welt stitch is stitched through the sole.
I will disagree Then are great boots for the price that Mark is selling them for in USA ~~ ! Please Mark don't make then in China
