      Would be great if they had a shoe with a white sole

  • @fastfreeks
    @fastfreeks 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Mine are falling apart right at 4 months. The sole bottom is holding up well, the insole is like new still, the laces are also like new, but the stitching is disintegrating around the sole and the canvas is cracking at the toe guard both shoes are having the same exact problem so I don't think it's a fluke. I got size 10 and they are narrow they never really did break in to my feet. I probably should have waited for size 10.5 to come in stock maybe those are wider but I am size 10. I usually get Vans but I get about 1 year out of Vans so I figured these would far outlast Vans. I'm pretty disappointed with them. Hopefully they fix these issues with the next gen version. Way too much money for them and I'm back to Vans now. I usually wear out the bottom of the soles on vans before anything else.

    • @NathanKnepper
      @NathanKnepper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are Olibertes! A very unique style boot/shoe that were made in Africa. They are the Mojoo in grey suede. Currently Oliberte is only making a few models. They’re made with vibram christy soles (very good) in Canada with USA tanned leather. If you want to find a pair of their older “Made in Africa” collection you should check on ebay and poshmark. Goodluck!!

    • @NathanKnepper

      Mmm well this is kind of a hard one since they're pretty unique. They're somewhat like vans, converse, adidas classics etc in my opinion. However they're definitely much better quality/comfortable. Check their return policy maybe you can try them and if you're not happy with them you can send them back.

    Man how did they fit an how are they holding up. I'm a shoe destroyer or a sole destroyer I walk the bottoms out of my shoes. I'm wondering about these (mod-1) from someone that is not-connected to the company. I see loads of reviews,but its hard nowadays to know if its marketing (B.S.). I would love to find a US made do everything shoe. I just don't have lots of money to buy on a humble. So you opinion would be very helpful now that you've had them a minute. I prefer field use more then unboxing you asked. I think it would put you ahead in reviews more then buying an showing new stuff a real how they feel an hold up. If you know what I mean. Have a good one bro

    • @NathanKnepper
      @NathanKnepper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, unfortunately here in SWestern PA it's all snow, ice, and slush so I really haven't been able to get them out and about but the soles do seem to be really resilient. I plan on wear a pair to work next spring/summer (powersports service manager/tech) and seeing how well they hold up. My redwing iron rangers have been tanks this past year and have been through heck so I'm interested to see how these hold up. Fit wise, they're fantastic. Takes a little bit for the canvas and toe cap to mold to your food but they they're great

    • @NathanKnepper
      @NathanKnepper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh and I forgot to mention, these are absolutely not BS! (I know there's a lot of fake crap out there) And neither are the guys making them. I think they have a genuinely good product and they're working on mod-2s for a mid style!! which is absolutely fantastic

      Awesome! I think you'll be very pleased. The only thing that annoys me about them is that the insole slides out when you take them off. Intentionally, as they're supposed to be very easy to clean (they also have drain holes on the sides incase you get them soaked)

      I’m a size 10 in sneakers and size 9.5 in most boots (which is normal for boots). My brannock size is 10D. They’re only a littttttllllleeee tight in the front. People with wider feet might have some issues with them.

    I recently got a pair and they are a nice sneaker, but all the tactical operator crap on their website is BS.
    They're just a well made well priced pair of sneakers that's American made, but that's it.
    I would tell anyone who's looking to order to completely ignore all the BS on their website , just buy them as a good pair of sneakers that's comfortable American made and priced well.
