This boot looks great and that’s what it’s meant for lol I wouldn’t go hiking in it. It’s definitely more fashion than utility. I’d go with merell or timberland for a true hiking boot but that’s just me. I own this boot and I still love it no matter what

If they were gusseted id buy them.

I prefer to rub it in over and over, then leave it on overnight, then rub and rub, THEN brush it off, let it soak in all it can.

The vibram soles get muffed up but they LAST! I've had my boots now for 3 years they are so broken in walking in them It feels like the boot is a part of my body, and all I can feel is that lightweight durable sole protecting my foot.

The reason they look chunkier than expected is they are MP Sherman’s with lug soles with TC. The MPM1 with Dainite soles are slimmer and more dressy. My black Chromexcel even work with a suit. I have the same setup as my black ones on order natural except with a toecap and dainite soles. The Sherman’s have the extra back stay piece if leather. The biggest difference are the soles you chose. However they are beautiful.

Got mine this week and they are amazing. Comfortable and stylish.

Sounds like you called it man. You mention how the front of the boot was pinching a bit. Meaning a bit narrow. Thursday has now changed the last to afford a bit more room with the new Kingmaker last.

I’ve worn mine every day for work as an exterminator for almost 2 years and they are ok. I do a ton of walking on the job. Up and down stairs all day, going from apartment to apartment. I have a cheap pair of Nikes that are way more comfortable if im honest. My soles wore out pretty quick and I need new ones. This hype about them being this ultra comfortable boot and you’ll never want anything else I just didn’t find to be true. The inside has no cushioning and it feels like you are always walking on a hard surface. They look good new and shined up but other than that, they are just boots.

I had my first pair show up couple days ago, had to return to Amazon because of two qc issues, Using amazon because of their return policy and to see how thursday sizing works. Hopefully new pair will not have q c problems, But one should just save up couple more moneys and get grant stone.

No gusset, they're more for looks, or the city. Not your SHTF boots. 2 inches of water and your socks get wet.

Is it possible to darken chromexcel Color #8 with darker brown or black polish?

The fact that they're not gusseted means debris and water will seep through the tiny cracks and eventually get your feet wet.

You need to buy you a pair of Grant Stone Diesel's or Ottawa's. I see that you have the White's in Natty CXL but I think if you get a pair of Grant Stone Diesel's(plain toed) and/or Ottawa(NST) you'll be surprised. They are of Alden quality at half their price. IMO they are much better than the AE boots/shoes like the Higgins Mills. I understand you probably have a manual labor job so a more dressy boot may not be up your ally but take a look at them. I don't think you'd be let down. Great video though! Keep up the good work and I will be waiting for you to review any Grant Stone boots. Good luck!
