    I hope they sell that in the USA. That polisher looks incredible! I have a Flex PXE-80 which is a great polisher but in my opinion is just doesn't have nearly enough torque. If there was one thing to make the PXE-80 a better machine, it would either be a forced rotation feature added onto it, or make one that IS a forced rotation. But then this machine comes along. I know several detailers who swear by other Shine Mate machines and I have no doubt that Shine Mate has probably done it again in terms of getting a lot for your money in terms of what comes with the machines, but also the build quality which is important also. Those Shine Mate machines look like they are the perfect balance of value, quality, and good user experience. And I doubt there are many that comes with such a vast array of accessories including a hard box type of case! WIN-WIN-WIN. And the fact it is so versatile being able to macro polish, micro polish, 1", 2", and 3" all in one machine! Yes sir, sign me up! I just got the SPTA Cordless 15" long throw last year and I must say, it is a great machine for what I paid for it. It's smoother and quieter than two name brand machines I have! I might have to invest in one of these bad boys in the future. The problem is that I already have a lot invested in the Flex PXE-80. I have all the upgraded accessories sold including the same attachments that allow the PXE-80 to complete macro/micro polishing needs using an attachment for the PXE-80 that accepts those very small polishing cones. Plus, they now have that incredible wand attachment that converts the PXE-80 into a wand polisher. I have the older version of the wand polisher that attaches to a rotary and it works well too but it's cumbersome to put it all together, etc. With this Shine Mate, the conversion to a micro polisher is completed in just a few seconds and you are good to go with polishing. That's a plus. That definitely is one sweet little machine Sandro! You are still one of my favorite detailers on TH-cam to watch buddy. Between you and RED DETAILS, I enjoy watching all your videos and I have learned a lot about more intricate detailing from watching you and your videos. Your exceptional editing, and presentation of useful information to the enthusiast detailer out here in the world goes unmatched! I hope you and your significant other have a wonderful summer. Cheers Sandro!

    Great review as ever Shine mate never lets you down I have 2 shine mate machines and love them the EB210 looks very versatile plus with multiply heads to suit every detailing need and more This machine does it all Its great you talk abou tpower and torque When i was learning about machine polishes i thought it was about the watts i never knew about torque but you need the power to drive the torque and the gearing set up of the machine I think torque and power are misunderstood it took me a good few months back in the day to find out the truth so thanks for talking about it Sandro you never let the side down so keep them coming In Sandro we Trust

      @@orthodox1717 I find the 15mm powerful enough but could always use more power… I have the 21mm though with 5” backing plate and the cordless rotary as well so any heavy jobs get those. 15mm for finishing. Or rotary more recently. But for me the 15mm still powerful enough for a decent cut and most one-steps and enhancements.

      @@CarCraftAutoDetailingSandro, does your backinglate fly off your EB210?? I read alot of issues with this and ahinemate itself is also aware of this problem. It seems they made some adjustments to the backkngplates. Are you familiar with these issues?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @blackmagician0078 no, here in Australia we didn’t get the initial release that apparently had that issue, it was already fixed when we got our machines here and all the new units now selling should have the updated part - from what I know it was just a new screw mount for one of the backing plate types that was needed, nothing major and an easy fix.

    A very good review Sandro. I own a Max Shine mini polisher which seems very similar to this, but the Shine Mate has far more usability features on the machine itself. I also own 3” and 5” cordless Shine Mate polishers. Great machines, but archaic battery technology. Leaving a battery too long on there charger basically kills cells in a battery. I hope they have fixed this on this machine and the ones I already own or it’s not something I’m willing to risk again. Keep up the great work. Lloyd

    what would be smart is if they kffered an option to add a power xord to there cordless units. Like what Griots Garage does. So in case ypi dont have the power or the run time needed without having to buy extra batteries you can plug into an oitlet and now ypu have consistent power.
    Shinemate did do a moce job with this unit. Also the fact that unlike other min8 polishers where you cant add a 3" pad on the Hogh torque Rotary attachment without having to worry about throwing off the balance of your machine.

    Hi Sandro, I was looking to purchase a 3mm or 5mm EB210 head for the occasional wetsanding/polishing. Do you have any opinion which size would be more useful/recommended? Seems like most of the mini machines come with 3mm as their secondary D.A option.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think either will be fine for sanding and light polishing but I think I’d personally go for the 5mm, it’s still quite a small throw and should be a little better at maintaining spin, making it perhaps a better balance for sanding and polishing.

    Hi Sandro, wondering if I could get some advice. I'm looking at a Rotary 75mm Polisher in the Makita line (I don't want too many diff battery platforms) would that compliment my full Sized Forced Rotation to cover most jobs or would you suggest I save up for a mini DA such as this?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I completely understand as I also have about half a dozen different battery platforms at home! But for car polishing the eb210 just does so much and does it so well from rotary to DA, sanding, compounding and polishing with 1/2” up to 3” pads that’s hard to overlook. I just think every detailer/enthusiast that gets the chance to use it will absolutely love it.

    Q: what is the amount of time you use this small machine vs the big one with big pads? Wondering because I can't afford 2 nice machines. If you could choose 1 to be the nice one, which would it be?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It really depends on the car and job. For more straight forward cars (less intricate designs) and more basic to intermediate levels of correction I’ll use my larger machine far more. But for more complex car designs and higher end work I’ll use my mini polisher far more. Generally I would suggest to start with investing in a good larger polisher as it will be your workhorse machine. But don’t assume more expensive means better - the Shine Mate EX620s are cheaper than the more expensive brands but class leaders in just about every area.

    Hi Sandro I am in the market for a new 3 inch polisher. I don't necessarily NEED the rotary capabilities that the shine mate offers but it would be nice to have. Strictly as a DA alone though, how does this Machine compare to the relatively new Rules HLR75

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If you solely want a 3” DA I may possibly say the Rupes HLR75 could be a better choice as it’s got the grunt for 3” to 4” pads and I believe Rupes has come out with a new safety trigger replacement to solve the issue it had with accidental firing (though I haven’t seen it here locally as yet). For me personally I’ll probably still use the HLR75 as a dedicated 3” DA and use the eb210 for 2”, 1” and 1/2” DA and rotary applications because I’ve got both machines. But honestly the EB210 can really do it all.

      I believe the 3” backing plate is still yet to arrive in Australia but should be coming, the rotary attachments can switch between screw and twists but I think due to the motion of the DA moment the screw ons are more secure so that my be why the production version have them solely - there was some changes with the final productions version vs the prototype.

      No I haven’t had that issue - I was told the EB210 units where undated a few months ago to address that potential issue - we here in Australia only got the updated version so I never experienced that, it also wasn’t an issue with the pre-production version I had.

      I think it’s quite an easy fix if you have one of the older heads - contact the place you bought it, Shine Mate has an updated replacement screw attachment that solves it from what I’ve been told.

    I believe the EB351 can use Makita batteries. The EB210 battery looks very similar to the Bosch GBA 12v battery. Do you know if this battery will work with EB210?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No I don’t but I’m doubtful. Many lithium batteries in these machines tend to do more than just power the equipment, they also tend to communicate with the skin and influence how in works/performs - but I could be wrong.

    Hi Sandro, thanks for the video. Have a couple of questions before I start putting my EB210 to work.
    Do you think the 62MM backing plate would be suitable for standard 75mm/3inch pads?
    I was a bit sad to see no 3/5mm DA head included, do you think any of 12mm/RO heads are suitable for spot machine sanding with a foam buffer pad or you wouldn’t recommend?
    Also could you help assign a shinemate T number to the new yellow and orange spot pads. Yellow used to be T80 and orange T40 would this still be the same?
    Cheers

      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My pleasure mate and I think the 64mm pads and plate would be the ideal option and being they are so cheap and quite good it’s a great plus, but a 75mm pad will still work.
      The 12mm DA will still work great for spot sanding - I wouldn’t personally use the rotaries.
      The new yellow, orange and black foam pads are still called T80, T40 & T105 it’s just the tapered design and new sizes available, but the foam grades are the same

    Is it better than Flex80 regarding power and cutting ability?

    • @esantosnyc

      A hundred times yes! PXE 80 stalls too easily for my liking and is nearly unusable with the 1” orbital attachment.

      Yes, I think power and lack of rotational stall are class lending in this unit.

    I'd rather buy the Makita Dpv300 unit only at around 200€ or/and Vonroc 400w corded for 50€, both 75mm 3 inch.

      Me too! First impression is that it's very tricky to keep the pad rotating - very sensitive to pressure and angle. (I've only used the 12mm offset with the 2" pads so far). I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be using rotary mode most of the time.

      @andrewgibb8846 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gregsullivan7408 I used it today and you’re right, the rotary adapter works very well and doesn’t bog down. I used Meguiars heavy cut compound with the white microfibre 2” pad on a bit of overspray from a cheap paint job and it came off in seconds. This tool is going to be amazing for interior plastics as well as exterior pillars. Mazda has the worst piano black plastic trim for scratching. It’s very soft, scratches too easily. 👍
