Beautiful job on this one! Especially like the headlights and detail work. Thanks for posting!
Looks amazing Nick fantastic restoration well done 👍.
Thank you Adrian😊👍🐸🐸
This ws one of the nearly 1st attempts I made when I started this hobby. Never thought to chrome the roof rack. Brilliant idea. Love the bright work & fine detail. Altogether a great resto
Thank you Ian, heck, probably not the easiest model to have started out on lol, mine was a corgi landrover.
Really nice job Nick! The extra detailing was worthwhile, looks fab. The figures set it off nicely and the turntable scene was a clever touch, thanks again for the video!🚙
Thank you Mick, if my Mrs had caught me with my turntable propped up on bits of wood over the keyboard of my laptop on the dining room table so that I could use the picture on the screen as my backdrop, I’m not sure if there would have been any more videos 🤣😂 glad you enjoyed it, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Hello NICK another great restoration great paint work hope you and your family are keeping well regards Glyn

Absolutely superb. Well done. 👍
Thank you Andy😊👍🐸🐸
Hi 👋 Very good restoration job. I like Citroens , it looks good in the white color. I had many Dinky , Corgi , Spot On toy model cars back in the 1960s in my childhood. They were very detailed like your Citroen Safari.
Thank you, these are nice model cars as were the real version of this particular one, I do prefer the dinky and older corgi models, I think I only ever had one spot on model as a kid, but quite a few dinkys and corgis and of course matchbox models😊👍
All the best, Nick🐸🐸
@@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat1739 I had German Marklin die-cast cars. Marklin were known more for their train sets.
Hey that's a brilliant looking model Nick, your detailing is superb, the back lights look spot on, and the addition of jewel headlights always look great. That car looks really good, the snow looks realistic, and I love the music playing on the outside shots. Looking forward to your next video, take care and all the best. Peter.
Thank you Peter, lol, I have a thing about putting jeweled lights in the models now, I find it difficult to resist doing it😉😁 The background on the turntable clip was just my laptop screen with a photo on, I had the turntable resting on a couple of bits of wood over the keyboard, good job Monica didn’t catch me with all that on the dining room table😁😂🤣
Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
what an absolute stunner nick
Thank you👍😊🐸🐸
I think it looks real good in the pictures the wheels look fine
Thank you Rick👍😊🐸🐸
Hey Nick, fantastic restoration they were lovely looking motors. I'd love a full sized one, but a bit out of my budget. There's a few new models that turned up a dagfields. Hopefully, they'll still be there for your visit, very enjoyable video again. I hope you're feeling better soon.
Thank you Mark, they were beautiful cars, not so many around now though, looking forward to Dagfields, been laying off eBay and saving the money for when we come over😊👍 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Hello again Nick. That's lovely, a real transformation. I have one of these to do, the Corgi Ski Club one like this too. Got some great tips from you. I've ordered a window unit from Model Supplies as well. I cant believe that liitle section needs cutting out like that. Anyway, it looks great. Always look forward to your videos. Take care mate
Thank you Alan, I am quite surprised at how many variations corgi managed to get out of this model, I’m pleased you enjoyed the video and got some tips from it, yes that window unit wasn’t great, it’s also not such a clear window unit as the original which I am going to repair and clean up for the other model Citroen Safari that I have. Thanks for watching, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
@@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat1739 Morning, yes I've had a few repro windows from them which are a bit dull, and I find they don't really polish up that well. They're not made from the same material as the originals. All the best 👊
Excellent job as always!! Have a few variations...
Thank you Philip. There are quite a few variations aren’t there, I never realized quite how many!
Nice one Nick, we liked the effects at the end they looked COOL. Best wishes from Ian b & family.
Thank you Ian, lol, I’m still shivering now from making the end bit of the video😉😁🥶 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Great work Nick. 👍☕🤗
Thank you😊👍
Nicely done nick, this one fought you a bit ,but you tamed it and it looks excellent I hope you feel better soon all the best Martin
Cheers Martin, it was a bit fiddly but I got there in the end lol, feeling much better now thanks👍😊 All the best, Nick🐸🐸🐸
Great work again nick, feel better old mate!
Cheers Robert, the cold has gone now thanks, just waiting for the next one lol🤔😉 Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Nice one nick again all the best steve
Thank you Steve,👍😊 Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Once again Nick you've done a fantastic job Citroen turned out really nice. It's funny just as you were put in the detail on I said to myself don't touch anymore Nick in case you Muck it up and low and behold that's what you said to yourself just after lol . On the bottom of the chassis it said Safari now I thought it would be a South African Safari like the Volkswagen Beetle with a rhino but i must have it wrong. Take care Nick and I hope you get over your cold soon 👍
Ralph
Thank you Ralph, lol great minds think alike🤔😉😁 The real life car was a Citroen Safari hence the Safari on the baseplate. I did this video a while ago so the cold has all gone now thanks👍😊 Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
@@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat1739 oh im glad your cold as gone, oh ok i didn't know that , that explains why there is safari on the bottom of the chassis lol . Hope its not to wet Jersey .
Take care Nick
Ralph
Very good work there nick , looked fiddly putting it back together though
Cheers Kev, it did bite back a couple of times lol!
@@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat1739 lol
Hi Nick another brilliant job 👏👏👍 I’ve never done one of those must put one on my list to do
Best regards
David
Cheers David, it’s a nice model with plenty variations to do, trouble is once you’ve done one you want to do all the others lol👍😊 Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
That chassis was a bugger: no possibility to draw the springs and slip the axles out? The result looks pretty neat though: pity about having to do so much work on repro parts - kind of defeats the use of the word repro if you have to work THAT hard! Really nice finish though - you did that banger proud!
Thank you Fraser, I couldn’t get the spring rods to move, it was easiest to lift them and slide the axles out in the end, I had to try and open the bits in the chassis which hold the rods to be able to turn them after I had put the axles back on, even then I only just managed to turn them enough, never had them be that tight before🤔🤔 It seems the norm now with repro parts having to fettle them to make them fit lol, all adds too the fun🤦🏻♂😁 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
