Okay I’m dying 😂 I sometimes comment on a video too early, before I’ve watched the entire thing, but this Jay wine tasting with “hints of two stroke and West Systems epoxy” has done me in lol.
All I can say is Jay must have a happy life by the looks of Kenna smiling all the time ! Nice to see. Kenna, I have one word.......Fins ! 😂 Take care !
What a beautiful boat you have but, why don't you use your mizzen? It's the most versatile sail on the boat. You can balance the sail plan to reduce helm and make the wheel or tiler much more manageable. Having more balanced sails will help your wind vane work better. "Balance your sails," is the first thing the wind vane companies tell you to do. You can use it in heavy weather, just drop your main and you're sailing more upright and more more balanced. and probably without losing any speed. It will also help with the rolling you talk about. I'm so surprised when I see yawls sailing without their mizzen. I had a Migrator Block Island 40 for years and always sailed with my mizzen. It was usually the first sail I raised and the last I took down. I've heard some people, who are clearly new to sailing and don't understand the finer points say that they don't want to raise the mizzen because it doesn't add anything to the sail plan. It adds everything---all the things i mentioned above. and much more. Most of all it's a beautiful sail and yawls are the most beautiful boats. You never saw any of the yawls that won the Bermuda races and many other ones, sail without their mizzens and the crew of those boats would tell you exactly what I have said here and much, much more. I would love watching your channel, it's really well done, but I can't stand to see you sail with so little understanding of sailing a yawl. Best of luck.
The problem with our mizzen sail is that it interferes with our self steering windvane . Therefore if we use our mizzen sail we have to hand steer which isn’t realistic on any lengthy passage . That’s why the only times you’ll see us using the mizzen is on short passages where I’m hand steering or when the wind angle is just right that it doesn’t interfere with the windvane . * which is quite rare.
A secret: Do you want to preserve vegetables? Well, if you don't have a vacuum cleaner, don't worry, USE NEWSPAPER, they will absorb moisture and keep your green dry and cold.

Glad you enjoyed it John, pleasure having you watch 😄⛵️
Murky water equals shark city, then add in crocks, Ugg, but how cool to sail your own boat to a place like that, love it!!!
