Mental health is really difficult to talk about (especially when your perspective can be considered controversial). However, I want to do it anyway. So, here's my story! It's quite simplified and I'll probably go into more detail later since it's difficult to explain it all without the video being ridiculously long.

Hello Kimmy, I really enjoyed your speech despite being it about such serious topic. It's very kind and courageous to share your story, I felt like I've been there when you went through all those circumstances. It's really hard to struggle by your own, especially when things are about breakups, depression or other mental issues. i'm kind like going through similar situation, last year I had many friends and a girlfriend too and my life was much better, but now I broke up my girlfriend and all my friends got new jobs in other cities so i'm spending time at home more than any time in my life, and this kind of scared me, I started to ruminate about what am i doing in life, and this video gave me some hope and slighltly encouraged me to go out and try new things, so thank you so much for sharing.

Aw thanks so much, I'm so glad that this resonated with you. It can be really hard to go through a low period, but it helps me to realize that no low period will EVER last forever, and that it's probably trying to teach me something. I hope you've been feeling better lately and been getting new curiosities and ideas for things to try out in life!

You're not alone Kimmy! I'm not on medication for my chronic mental illnesses and have experienced so much of that "if you're not medicated are you really ill?" stigma. Most meds don't react with my body the way they're supposed to...plus I've had my mental illnesses for most (if not all) of my life...is it any wonder why I would feel more comfortable with the struggles I'm used to than take a chance on something that is likely to go very wrong? I appreciate your bravery in sharing this. It's nice to know I'm not the only person who feels this way. 💜💚

Thanks so much for your response, Tiff! I just find it difficult to share because I know a lot of people believe in the system of psychiatry 100%, so they think that if a doctor says something about you, labels, you etc. then you have to take it as the gospel truth. I obviously don't agree with that, so it can be scary to speak out. However, life is so much more than labels, and people have been having moods and emotions long before the system we have in place now existed!

Wow Kim! Stages we all go through, I feel I am having these alternations... a lot of good days, then two to three days feeling horrible, I believe my own organizations of things have allowed me to be feeling weird. But you are right, I lack in physical exercises, maybe this is it, it is this that is making me miserable a few days.
