    Thanks for the shout out! And thanks for testing out the multi-cam functionality -- it's great that you were able to confirm that it's easy to switch between the two monitor cameras, as that is a feature I will definitely make use of. 😊👍

    Thanks for the video, very informative.
    Would it be good to use it for a normal use, maybe as a developer sitting whole day in front of it?
    Also would it be possible to divide it and use it similar two monitors?
    Or maybe make it small later to a size some what of 27'' if needed, by making remaining pixels on both sides as black.

    Hi BsianDad. Great video! I am planning to use the monitor with a ThinkPad Carbon X1. Does the webcam work over the usb-c connection as well? So all that I needed is to plug the laptop and the monitor through the usb-c to usb-c cable and even the webcam works?

    Is the KVM switch function only available in the display manager or it can be done via the OSD? Because my company laptop can’t install software I might not able to install the display manager. Or it can be installed in my PC so to get that done there (no need to install to both machines).

    Nice review. I have this monitor coming in soon, courtesy of my new job. Can you recommend any compatible mounting arms that I can use to have this bad boy propped up instead of using the stand that it comes with?

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks @Crystalvale, the monitor can be vesa mount which most monitors arms should work with it the one thing to make sure of is that the load rating of the arm is able to take on 5 to 9kg range, the higher the better. The main issue isn't the arm itself but the mount swivel which holds the bracket is where the area that fails to hold the heavier monitors like the 34 inchs and above (it ends up like a a floppy sunflower when it happens) I made a video on monitor arms what to look out for: th-cam.com/video/JJ5uBzp68uY/w-d-xo.html . If you are in Australia I use myself the ZenspaceDesk monitor arms which you see the link in description most my videos. Catch is they only send to Australia addresses.

    Disappointed to see this has display port 1.2 and not 1.4 like the U3421we. Looking at the specs I can see srgb colour space and Rec 709, does it have DCI-P3 too like the U3421WE?

    Excellent video, thanks a lot ! As I have a MacBook Pro (15'' 2018) for my personal use, and a Laptop Dell XPS for my work (company one) is there a possibility to have them connected at the same time and switch quickly from one to the other ? (I use Logitech Mx Key as well)

      @@gregorostanek4610 Hi, finally I bought it and it works perfectly, I have my mac connected trough USBC and Windows Laptop on Display port , it works fine (sharing lan on RJ45 port etc…) no issue ! (It works with keyboard and mouse with integrated KVM, but I prefer to use Logitech MX Keys and mouse with bluetooth)

      @@ZEJMG Many thanks for answer. Yes it looks like good monitor for all my needs. But it is always good to know if things works in practice. Sorry for few additional questions. :) What about camera - is there any problems? How do you switch camera between systems? I already have MX - but keyboard works only via bluetooth - how did you connect mx to KVM (monitor doesn't have bluetooth)? Thank you once again.

    • @ZEJMG
      @ZEJMG ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gregorostanek4610 My pleasure to answer. You will have to install Dell Display Manager for Mac & for Windows, then you are able to create some keyboard shortcuts to swap between Mac and PC (or other devices plugged in), Camera is automatically recognized when you swap. Quality is good but below DELL U3223QZ if I have to compare (I have this one as well for another setup). Keyboard was through USB but having another cable was not convenient for me, so I use MX Keys (and mouse) with bluetooth and then I push the button I need on the Keyboard to use Mac or PC. I didn't try that but may be we could plug the Logitech dongle on a USB port of the monitor and use the KVM, but with this kind of muti device keyboard I don't think it make sense. Hope it will help.

      @@ZEJMG You are very helpfull. I know everything now and I know now what to order (this hardware researches takes a lot of time...). I will try to connect keyboard and mouse to monitor - Dell says that crossover must work by default (with no need to swith over with shortcuts).
      In meantime I found Dell Display Monitor - maybe it can be helpfull for someone th-cam.com/video/TpQqytPdB2k/w-d-xo.html

    I've been trying to find out if these monitors work with macs, so far your video seems to be the only confirmation that at least the networking and speakers work. It would be really helpful to know if the webcam and mic work. There is a Teams for MacOS, but I've noticed there are some differences between the Windows and MacOS versions, it would be good to know how well the MacOS version worked with the monitor.

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @Ingrid Varga and @Stephen Pao, this is what I found so far from testing the monitor on MS Teams on a Macbook Air M1. The speakers, mic and camera from the monitor does work with MS Teams on the Mac version but the MS Teams button on the monitor doesn't launch MS Teams App but it will light up white to tell you are currently in MS Teams, the other thing is if you are in a call the Phone button will light up green to indicate you are in a video/phone conference. The mute mic button doesn't work it seems so far which I will investigate further. So can confirm that the webcam and mic from the C2422HE, C2722DE and C3422WE does work with MS teams on the M1 Mac, hope that helps.

      P3421W is more expensive and doesn't have speakers, camera or audio jack. It also doesn't have 90W USB-PD (only 65W), doesn't have Ethernet, doesn't have second USB-C .. yet it costs more and the screen looks to be the same (I had it, 4 times, all had issues with flickering)

    • @rasbro87

      I have it for one year now. My camera died few days ago. Windows does not detect it now. Windows Hello used to detect it I think only if I had camera/mic module popped out before login screen showed up, not if I pop it out while on login screen. Due to current issue, I cannot flash any new firmware, it fails due to missing camera device. Mic works when cam/mic popped out.
      I haven't really used Teams and Call buttons in the last year (probably because they did not work), and I can confirm that they do not work as expected now that I have tried.
      Other than recent camera issue, I have always had issue where audio disconnects during call and even my USB Type C earphones got disconnected when I connect them to front port, but they work without issues if I connect them directly to PC.
      Not sure if this issue is just with few devices or all of them, but I've seen lots of people complain about audio issues on Dell support forums.
      Mute button works only for internal mic or mic connected to 3.5mm jack, but those are often failing from time to time in the middle of the meeting, so I do not feel confident using it. For work I use third party USB C earphones that I connect to the PC...
      This monitor is a great idea, but for me most of it's functionality never worked...
      Now I have to take it to the service shop to fix the camera and I will have to find some other temporary monitor while they repair it...
