    Thank you! I am looking at this monitor for working from home, and I wanted to use both a Dell and Macbook laptop with it. Perfect review for me!

    Looking forward to your full review of this monitor. I'm interested in the webcam quality compared to a laptop webcam when doing zoom calls.

    Can you see if the Mac's volume control works on the monitor? Other USB C Dells monitors there is no volume control.

      Hi minh8080, I am very happy to report I tested this on the Macbook the volume buttons do work for the macbook volume control as well. I will perform this in my unboxing of the C3422WE so you can see =).

      @@vurd0576 Hello Sandra ! I am thinking about switching from my old iMac to a Mac Mini with this monitor. Are you satisfied with them both ? Did you encounter any issue or have any complaints ?

    • @vurd0576
      @vurd0576 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PhilippeGolaz i have used this new monitor for 2 weeks so far and it’s working pretty well for basic use, videoconferencing and calling/answering WhatsApp/Messenger calls. I don’t think that the screen is spectacular in terms of quality of image like an Apple

    • @vurd0576
      @vurd0576 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ... Apple retina screen, but it’s pretty good. The only problem I’m encountering is that my Macmini, which is a 2014 version, is showing more often that “pink screen” problem when it enters sleep mode (Google pink screen problem on Macminis) with this new screen than previously. But that’s a computer problem, not a screen one.

    • @vurd0576
      @vurd0576 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      But, seriously, if I was going to buy a new screen now, I’d prefer buying Apples new desktop computer, which has all the videoconference functionalities, plus the retina screen. I find that know that Apple was about to launch a new desktop when I bought the Dell screen.

    Hi, I already have one monitor by Dell but I'm thinking to add this one and combine them. Do you think that's possible to combine both of them and connect them via USB-C to a laptop?
    Thank you for the review.

    did the Teams button work for you out of the box? It lights up but does nothing on my dell laptop connected to the same 24 inch you have. Also does not seem like the call button really does anything either...

      @@BsianTech Does the monitor detect the rotation to Portrait mode automatically or is it necessary to go into to Display Settings and select Portrait mode? I am using an earlier Dell videoconferencing monitor as a 2nd monitor and need to manually select Portrait in Display Settings. Thanks.

      Next to the power button on the backside, I think it is left of the power button there is a little joystick, you can press that joystick in (consider it as Ënter"as well) which will activate the menu and you navigate the menu using the joystick.

    Thank you for this genuine unboxing review -- I love it! Once you get one or both of the other C-series monitors, could you connect two of them to your Windows laptop and see how well they work in a dual monitor setup? I think you will only be able to use one of the Windows Hello infrared cameras, but I'm curious as to whether Windows 10 will recognise both webcams and if you can switch between them or not while on a Teams or Zoom call. I'm also curious as to whether it's possible to have the sound output through both monitors at the same time. Thanks again!

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much Robert, you have given me a situtation I would have never tried and I am glad to give that a go to see what would happen if I connect two C-series monitors to a single laptop, if Teams would would with multi-cam setup. As for sound output I would doubt it could use both speakers at the same time but never know something might surprise us till I give it a try. I've unboxed the Dell C2722DE today before I saw this message which I will have the video up tomorrow it won't have this situation I will create that as part of the review video. Cheers for the great suggestion Robert!

      @@BsianTech Thanks for the quick reply, and also for willing to try out the two-monitor setup! I ordered two C3422WE monitors almost two weeks ago, and while I wait for them to arrive I've been doing as much reading up on them as I can. Without actually being able to test things yet, this is how I think things will work:
      1 - IR camera and Windows Hello: Windows 10 can only use one IR camera for Windows Hello, and so my Dell XPS17 laptop will default to the built-in IR camera. The only way to get Windows to switch to one of the Dell monitor IR camears is to disable the built-in one in Device Manager.
      2 - Webcam/microphone: Windows 10 *should* recognise the webcams and microphones on both monitors, and so should let me switch between them in any app that uses them.
      3 - Speakers: Windows 10 can only output sound to one hardware speaker at any given time, but there is a freeware app (by VB Audio) called "Voicemeeter" which allows sound to be sent to two hardware speakers, so I'm going to try that out.
      Anyway, all of the above is theoretical until my monitors arrive and I can actually try things out, but if you get the chance to test any of it in the meantime, I would love to find out how you get on. 👍😊

      @Robert Larsen, my C3422WE just arrived, which I will do the unboxing soon. I will test out that dual webcam you mention in the C3422WE unboxing video along with the VB Audio. As for the support for Windows Hello I have enquired this with Dell, awaiting answer from them.

      I wasn't able to get the VB-Audio to spit out dual speakers on my test on the 24 and 27inch monitor so I will have a longer play and investigate it further so I cut that out in the unboxing of the 34" mate sorry.
