We spent 3 days 2 nights on an adventure with the Lisu Hill Tribe in Wiang Haeng, a small mountainous district in the northern part of Chiang Mai province. We slept in a tent, ate every meal with the Lisu family and saw the most breathtaking views of the iconic Doi Luang Chiang Dao mountain range in Thailand. It was an experience we'll never forget.

FloraandNote - You channel and videos are great - as youngsters you can do this - at 66, I managed to take multiple bus tours but nor carefree budget tours like this - I did camp in Yosemite and Yellowstone but not like you do - you are very positive and compatible with each other as friends and couple - very heart warming - best to you both!
I did recently see sunrise at a place in South India where bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean meet - also saw great sunset at Cape Town in South Africa - magical
What a special environment - untouched - pristine - the whole experience was Brilliant and that sunrise , No words - 😊😎👋👌✔️🙏

We went to Chiang Mai about 4 years ago, just before Covid - it was one of our all time favorite trips. Walking up the steps to the mountain is an incredible experience.

I did a lot of hill area on the Myanmar side..You made me miss those days..Its cold this time of the year but in a few months, March/April/May the weather heats up and its even nicer..On the Myanmar side you get some nice fruits and vegetables too and the avocado is delicious..But yes Coffee with sunrise and whiskey with sunset with that view I never miss it..

Yes, Note, I believe that all hill tribes up North made their way from China a while back. You should do an ancestry test and you will be amazed of how much Chinese ancestry Thais have. My sister did and it's the majority of the ethnic background with a some Indian and little Polynesian thrown in there for good measure. There is a tribe in Yunnan of China called Thai, and their food and houses are like in Thailand. Yep, hiking shoes is the way to go. I found out the hard way and slipped on hiking trail at Yosemite, CA in my sneakers, need traction in them shoes. Love the scenic view to wake up to!

As a Thai, Doi Luang Chiang Dao always beautiful at anytime of the day but for the sunrise and sunset it's even more beautiful. It's such a breathtaking view for me. I will check out this homestay next time I'm in Chiangmai. Love your video as always.❤

Patiently waited for a next video and finally came. Absolutely love the homestay with cat. Yes I see another cat after Flora pointed the cat out. I laughed with Flora after checking in and staying in a Tent. Think I would stay in the guesthouse if I came. Great mountain walk with amazing views. Outstanding sunset. Yum Yum plum wine, loved seeing Notes reaction after taking 1ST sip, sure hope he has more then 1. Loved seeing Flora reaction after taking her 1ST bite of delicious potato soup, I love potato’s. Dinner looked so yummy, so much and sure hope no 1 left still,hungry. Both of you missed the sunrise on your last day, 5am is early. Omelette looks like leftover from dinner last night. Absolutely Loved seeing Flora wearing her sunglasses in the truck. Natural Park looked like so much fun. Good morning for Day 3. Absolutely Outstanding Sunrises Ever. Absolutely Awesome From Start To Finish // Absolutely Loved Every Second

Awesome scenery. Your host was great and I think he enjoyed your company. Question, why at some of the locations you have visited do they charge foreigners more?
Many national parks in Thailand charge an entrance fee and the price can sometimes be different for Thais vs foreigners. It's not significant sometimes... like 20 Baht vs 50 Baht but some parks can be 300 Baht. It can be quite controversial in Thailand as you can imagine.

I really love the nature that Thailand have. After seeing your video, I think I should go to Akipu once in the lifetime. The problem is, I am not that adventurous but I love to feel nature closer. I visited Khaoyai and I can still accepting its route. So may I know the route to the Akipu from Chiangmai? Like it is dangerous or not? Is it steep? And I definitely will skip the hiking part hahaha. And how's the weather there? I saw on the video it was around 16 but it feels like 5? How's the weather in the morning >< Sorry for asking lots of question since I live in tropical country and always hot most of the time so I may not used to the cold. We don't know the exact location. You can try looking up Akipu Camping on Google Map... it's the path behind it which took us about an hour of trekking to get to.

That’s part of Thailand. It’s Thailand’s third highest mountain called Doi Luang Chiang Dao.
