It's our first time visiting Udon Thani, a famous province in Isan Thailand, renowned for its breathtaking sea of red lotuses in full bloom from November to February. Ever since we arrived in Thailand, we've been hearing stories about this place, and now we're thrilled to see its magic for ourselves. Taking Rocket with us, we're embarking on his first off-road adventure in search of a hidden floating temple. Our journey's ultimate destination? Nakhon Phanom, where we'll be meeting Note's Mom.

During the season here in my area we drive around looking at and admiring the Christmas lights before going home to drink big cups of hot chocolate. Great vlog! Thanks for sharing. I have been wanting to visit the Red Lotus Lake for some years, but it seems that on my next visit to Thailand in April the season will be over. You are right about the flowers being lilies not lotuses. Lotuses are much taller and their leaves are above the water rather than flat on the surface.
The right timing will come! We also waited 6 years to finally make it here but it was worth it 😍

Different regions have different charm in Thailand 😍 We are excited to show more cities in northeastern Thailand because they aren't as frequently visited by foreign tourists but popular amongst Thai tourists.

Nice episode. Truly a gem. Thanks for the info on the reasons the lake supports the Lillies. Try the 6 AM boat for sunrise and be on the lake by yourself with all the water foul. There are a nice hotels 5 minutes from the boats. We liked the Bua Daeung Homestay resort very pleasant and less expensive than taking a taxi from Udon. When you were told you were too far past the temple you both responded with the Thai Awwwwweeeeee 😂. Thanks for sharing guys!

Hi All the first time I drove from Udorn to NKP it was a dirt road and no traffic. Of course that was in 1966.
Nakhon Phanom... I remember watching a Thai lovecom movie that was filmed there. The Vietnamese Memorial Clock Tower, the walking street, the Chinese Temple by the Mekong River, etc. I really love that place just simply by watching that movie. How I wish to visit Nakhon Phanom.

Had that same style spatchcock chicken many times in Huahin. Its a shame they did not like the Philippines and left so fast because its so amazing there also.

Hey Guys, We love your videos and watch them all. My wife and I are going to travel from the U.S.A. to Calgary to visit Banff and Jasper National Parks this summer. Any recommendations for food in Calgary. My wife is Malaysian and we do not get that type of food in the USA much, but I heard Calgary has good Chinese food. Any places to see in Calgary. I appreciate your help.
Glad you enjoy our videos! We made a video on Calgary and we highly recommend that Banh Mi shack (Thi Thi Vietnamese Submarine) in downtown Calgary. It's better than the ones we had in Vietnam 😉 For Chinese food, go to Central Grand for some traditional dim sum. For Japanese yakitori, go to Shokunin and for fusion Korean you can check out Roy's Korean Kitchen (I used to work in his kitchen 😝). We always enjoy walking through Kensington to go to the Peace Bridge... and of course Prince's Island Park for a picnic is really nice too. Hope you'll have a wonderful trip!
