S 24 is 1200 ..android phones are high as hell but worthit I never had iPhone and never will unless the android market crashes and comes to an abrupt End
This guy is not reviewing android vs ios, ok. So stop it. He's reviewing Galaxy S24 ultra. All android powered phones are not the same. They are different with brands. Get that!
So, just curious, what iphone were you coming from when you moved to Samsung? How deeply ingrained are/were you in the apple ecosystem? Did you find anything particularly difficult with going from apple to android? How about a decent icloud alternative? I have google drive already, but not particularly impressed with it so far. I only ask because I'm somewhat considering moving back to Android(samsung) for my primary phone. I used to be on android and have an inactive s22+, but haven't kept up with the android world for a couple years since I switched to iphone. I'm thinking I'm a little too far into the apple ecosystem for it to be worth making the move back to android.
@@jeffs2809 i had an iPhone 8 plus. it still got updates, which is/was impressive. and the OS still worked smooth like butter. but some apps didn´t work anymore/didn´t get updates and i really wanted a phone with finger print scanner. i had a few airPods, i had a mac mini for a while and back in the days i had ipods. i used to buy a ton of iTunes music and movies. but i never had an iPad (i don`t use tablets) and i never had an appleWatch (i use Fitbit). up till the iPhone 8+ i had a new iPhone every 2 years and i loved all of them! but after that i waited for another finger print phone and apple never delivered. like with the airPods, there was more and more stuff that was simply too expensive for what it offered (to me). like soundcore is all i need for earbuds and fitbit is all i need for a watch/fitness tracker. i never understood the hype about Macs ... the data security argument was always a strong argument for me to buy apple. but apple isn`t as user Data friendly as they say and you can make an android pretty secure as well. android fixed the issue with security updates with their layered OS stuff and they run smooth like iPhones (not sure about the long run, but what i heard, they are pretty good even in the long run now). and once my concerns about privacy and stability have been put to rest, i really fell for the features android (especially Samsung) offers
@@jeffs2809Also, yes, there is no alternative to Apple iCloud on Samsung or other Android phones. This alone is very important because none of your data will be lost. Nothing will happen to your files. I used Samsung’s Microsoft OneDrive. I backed up my data, and while trying to restore it a few times, my data suddenly disappeared. I emailed both Microsoft and Samsung, but I didn’t even receive a response from either of them.
The one thing I have learnt from this video, is that there are long term Apple fans out there that have never experienced a top end Samsung phone, and are still living on all the misconceptions about Android phones in general. That might have been valid years ago, but are definitely now a thing of the past. The technology and innovation is so mature now, that you would really be incredibly hard pressed to fault a flagship Android phone in 2024. They very often now exceed what Apple has to offer. You have proved this point eloquently.
Still no full face ID on Android. Not talking about just unlocking the screen, but opening secure apps, making payments, etc... IDK if fingerprint sensor has improved in the past 2.5 years or not, but it isn't great on my s22+ and was terrible on most previous androids. I hated having to put in a PIN code and having to manually enter passwords in apps (might have been in part because I was adding fingerprints to try to get it to work). I'm toying with going back to android full-time, but there's a few things I use regularly that I don't think I could easily leave behind. I've been running an iphone 13 promax for a couple years as my full-time phone. I can't think of anything I really don't like about it, but I don't really see an Iphone I'd want for an upgrade either.
@@jeffs2809 There's been a huge improvement with fingerprint sensors, well at least on my Galaxy S24 Ultra. I don't have to think about it now, just a slight tap and it's recognised immediately. It's better than face unlock in that lighting or your appearance doesn't matter. So if you do go back I am sure you won't regret it in 2024.
I tried Samsung about a decade ago, loved the phone, but had to return it because phones were exploding. Samsung has the best features and hardware, but I just don't trust them! iPhone has never let me down.... My mom has a Samsung galaxy and her issues are non-stop.
@@ShaykSahib 3rd person, who tf are we? Do you know the use case and advantages of type C? Do you really think Apple doesn't include type C for a long time as this is not needed by their user? If yes, then you are simply stupid and ignorant, Apple for a longer time, restricted their users into lighting cable traps and force them to buy dongles and other related accessories from their store making them trillion dollars over the years. If not for European union forcing apple to adopt Type C, they would never had implemented this change and keep billions of dollars on the side while Thier blind users claim that apple user don't need it that's why apply doesn't add it while in reality apple is simple a giant company and it runs only to maximize profits like others
I use an iPhone 14 pro max currently as my main phone but I picked up a Galaxy S23 Ultra for work purposes and I absolutely adore that Galaxy. I could easily see myself switching to it full time if the entire rest of my family didn't all have iPhones. This is my first Android after using iPhone 4, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6S, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone 13 pro max.
Well the good news is iPhone will finally support RCS messaging by the end of 2024 so blue bubble gang won't be relevant anymore. I think the big division that will remain is facetime. Google's messaging app has built in Google Meets that the entire world has access to via Gmail but that doesn't mean it's catch on I suppose.
That would not to stop you to communicate with your family. You can still text message and share content with them. The fact that your friends and family drive a Ford Focus should not force you not to buy and drive a BMW.
Not a misconception.....cheap Android phones are vastly superior to Pro Max. Considering what you can do, not to mention iPhone users only use for tiktok, text messaging, and.....dang nothing more! Androids can do that too, and for a lot less than iPhone mediocre phones. I know, I had the 13 Pro Max, before that, the Asus Zenfone Flip 6....big mistake going from that to 13PM.
@@Chris._P._Bacon The flagship iPhone are objectively superior to most Android devices. When it comes to flagship Android devices vs Apple flagships, it predominantly comes down to personal preference and what suites your lifestyle. My last Samsung, the Galaxy S7 was definitely crap after a few months.
@Sweat_ii I knew you were going to say the S7 lol. Of 20 years using samsung phones the S7 was probably the worst one they produced. Since then and 8 years later samsung has made incredible improvements. It's a shame to had to experience such a phone to give you such a bad experience and consequently a bad opinion of samsung phones.
I switched from an iPhone 12 pro max a little more than a year ago I haven't looked back have an s22 ultra works just like the day I purchased it new still an absolute beast of a phone
I have both iphone 15 and Samsung s24. The difference is like having a Volvo and Mustang. You may drive the Volvo to work or grocery store because its a good stable dependable vehicle. You drive the Mustang because you enjoy it. The power, the abilities it has, the excitement it provides. When I'm having fun its with my Galaxy when I want the same controlled experience for the past 8 years I grab the iphone. Both are good it's just I like using Galaxy more.
On one hand, my iphones always got slower with updates to the point of not trusting updates and avoiding updates. On the other hand, I update my Android phones and tablets almost immediately upon an update being available because my Android devices actually get faster, and I'm starting to trust operating system updates because they are actually trustworthy on the Android side.
By the way, you can make your samsung device animation even more faster by enabling the developer options by going through settings, "About phone", and then "Software information". press on Build number multiple times until it says that developer mode is enabled. Then you can find developer options at the very bottom of settings, press it and go down until you see "Window animation scale" and "Transition animation scale" & "Animator duration scale". Press each one and make them ".5" or you can even disable them if you want. have fun with your samsung!
I currently use an iPhone 15 Pro as my primary phone. However, I recently purchased a Samsung S24 Ultra as a secondary device. Despite my initial intentions, I find myself using the S24 Ultra more frequently and have come to appreciate its features.
Samsung notes is very powerful. You can import pdf’s and use ai to summarize it. You can import voice recordings and get transcripts of them and also summarize it, it can even distinguish different speakers. This would be so helpful with lectures and stuff. You can also share notes as a pdf, word file powerpoint file or an image even or just plain text with quick share (basically airdrop which yes android had way before apple) or pc link. Pretty sure you can also set up a folder on your phone to always be accessible on your pc and just grab your notes like that. Edit: i just opened my notes app and apparently you can link microsoft one note to well sync your notes to any other device :)
I was android from its inception to the S22 Ultra. I did the opposite of you i swapped to apple for 2 years. While i liked alot of things on apple you are spot on with your opinions. I just traded my 15 pro max in a couple months ago for my S24 Ultra and all i can say is its refreshing loving tte S24 ultra
😂 bro, I'm literally in this exact same situation right now. The only difference is that I'm going to keep my 14 PM for now, and trade in my old 22 ultra. They basically gave me $1000 towards a 1tb 24ultra, with $650 trade in credit and $250 instant credit, plus $100 off the new pro buds. Easy decision and I did not love my iphone experience. Miss the droid.
As an ex apple turned Galaxy user, you have a long way to go because you provided a lot of misunderstood in this video. Not purposely but because you haven't discovered it yet lol😂. Everything you said that "can't do" you actually can do. My file sharing between my PC, tablet and phone is EXTREMELY seamless. I can be 500 miles away from my PC and if I need files that are on my PC, they are just a click away. Also, I can copy and paste between devices. I love writing a huge message on my tab s9 ultra, copying it and then pasting it to my phone. Either way, I switched to Samsung a few years ago and I'm never going back to Apple. I already started with the original iPhone, then switched to the G1 and was Android/Samsung for several years. Then switched back to Apple, got stuck for a few years and then switched back to Android. I have a lot of experience with both but i prefer the freedom of Samsung Galaxy.
I've been an Samsung user for over a decade, and even I still get surprised finding out about features and capabilities. It leaves me saying, "Woah, I didn't this phone could do that"
One of the biggest gaps in Samsung ecosystem system is a Samsung equivalent of HomePod. I recently switched to S24Ultra. My biggest issue is my kids not wanting to use WhatsApp, typical US teenagers!!!! But with RCS coming in iOS 18 this should remove this. For all of Apples self righteousness and privacy marketing they are the primary reason for bullying among kids when it comes to green bubbles blue bubbles.
You can use another smart speaker though, the good thing is you don't have to lock yourself to a single brand. Anyone using a device that uses 1980s message tech while at same time chooses to use a single brand proprietary messaging service and then has issue with other people's choice of device, probably need to step back and reflect on the ignorance/arrogance.
Using the S23 regular here since last year. Never experienced any lags. Those who say Android lags, that's probably not a flagship Android like Samsung's S series or any other flagship Android out there.
Samsung (and most Android phones) are sluggish when opening the camera app and there is a slight delay when you want to take a photo on the fly. This is my main gripe compared to iphone, in which the camera is very fast.
Welcome to Android world. All my kids switched since the Samsung note 3 came out 8 years ago. They love the S-pen features, and they could take notes in schools. We are a paperless family. We are doing everything digitalize in form of taking notes. There are so many great note apps on Google play store, and the are free. Such as the Squid apps, etc.
I’m an Apple user so I don’t necessarily agree with all of the points in your review but I did enjoy your take on the differences nonetheless. Nice vid, thank you 🙏
You don't miss not having 19MB of personal data being auctioned off daily to hundreds of agencies, one of which will get hacked and sell your personal info on the dark web? I know why you don't miss that. Because it didn't happen to you yet. Well it happened to me and I definitely avoid spyware phones and spyware computers from now one.
Yeah yall acting like you switched from the greatest phone apple made to the greatest phone Samsung made, OF COURSE the S24 ULTRA is gonna look better than some broken ass iPhone 7 Plus
Just got my first Samsung, a Galaxy S24 Ultra, plus Galaxy Watch Ultra on Saturday. I was Apple only for 13+ years. Samsung has definitely been more of a learning curve than my Pixels were.
Great insight, thank you. I could never make the switch (in reverse) from Android to iOS, but it was very interesting to see that it's not such a big change as people believe, and the iPhone users long held fears that have been solved for generations of Android devices.
I switched from my iPhone to the Samsung Galaxy S23U and never looked back, I am deep in the Apple ecosystem but I can work around most stuff. Switched from iCloud to OneDrive for instance that also works om my MacBook pro an macstudio so I can share between phone and windows PC's in my household. If Apple would bring iCloud to android (native) that would be a good move though but that will prob never happen. Anyway very happy with the switch :D. Ow and the phone is still rock solid and FAST! Never slows down one bit like you said about the S24U.
"It just works" vs "I can find a way to work around most, but not all stuff, with a lot of time and effort". How exactly does that make you never look back? And will you look back when the Samsung gets pregnant whale syndrome in a few years, like all of them do?
@@Äpple-pie-5k doesn't take a lot of time and effort on my part. The whale syndrome you refer to swollen batteries? If so I had a few iPhones with blow up batteries over time (3GS,4S,5SE, the iP6 was the worst for me and the 11 pro max had one). This is my first time stepping over to another phone most work I don't do on my phone anyway so if that ain't Apples it doesn't matter that much. It is refreshing to play around with the S23U for over a year now. I have a LOT expensive Apple products and they are great don't get me wrong. I just wanted something different after getting all flagship products every year (except the studio and MacBooks I Own).
@@Äpple-pie-5k Because the benefits far outweigh that minor inconvenience. An inconvenience by the way that is artificially created to be used as a threat by Apple to retain customers. Never support dogshit companies who use negative reinforcement on their customers.
I switched from Android to Apple, intensive teenager peer pressure, my Kids swore i would not regret the switch. 2 Years later im still regretting it. The grass around the apple tree aint greener.
Kids always choose Apple for the same peer pressure from other kids , so they wouldn't really know that Android is better because they won't even give it a chance. You should never rely on kids for tech advice
It's good to see someone just look at what thing's actually are without some weird emotional connection to an appliance and brand like many TH-cam tech channels.
That's probably because this channel is actually genuine and Apple have not influenced it like they have influenced some other very well known TH-cam channels that i don't wish to give airtime to, but they are the most well known channels, so i'm certain you know which ones i mean
Ive had Samsung phones since about 2008, ive always found their quality and features have been outstanding, if only we got back to the world of user replaceable batteries it would be perfect (yes i understand the demand for water resistance, however thats not one of my personal requirements, i dont think is beyond the capability of 5:28 technology to create a waterproof phone that still has an accessible battery compartment)
I had s10 and recently switched to iPhone 14 Pro. Can you believe me saying that my Samsung till today is faster and smoother than this iPhone? I regret not buying Samsung again 😢
@@souviksikdar1864 I've never stopped enjoying any of my Sasmung phones, ever. I'm going on 3 and a half months with my s24 Ultra and I still love and enjoy it as much as day one unboxing.
@@souviksikdar1864 S24 is closest thing you can get to a computer in your pocket out there, its not even close, Apple doesn't let you do a lot of stuff you can do on android like a PC.
I was just like you about 7 years ago, Apple phone only, then I bought my first Samsung note phone and was blown away, you can do so so so much more with android, you're not closed in an apple box, you can make your phone the way you like it, and that's just a tiny piece of it, kudos to you buddy
People are waking up Apple fanboys ya'lls lies can't keep em from switching anymore. About the smaller phone s24 plus or s24 are perfect. I've had the s24 plus since launch and it's 🔥 don't feel like it's a huge downgrade from the s24u. If size of phone matters to you s24 plus would be perfect.
Smartphones these days are just cool. No need to get stuck on one OS / manufacturer, try everything you really like. New foldable models like Galaxy Flip6 or Fold6, Pixel phones, newest Xiaomi flagships or even middle-class ones.
Correction: Beeper actually reverse engineered Imessage, they don't operate on server farms like some other apps. It's actually really nice but not that big of a deal since RCS is coming to the iphone with IOS 18 anyway
It's still a big deal until Apple allows you to change the color of your message bubbles. Just having a green bubble in the US has a devastating impact on the social lives of teenagers as well as adults in the dating world. It's annoying but very true in the US. RCS won't change must and Apple wants to make sure if that.
@@latingringo89 at least RCS would have the functionality. The people who care about the colour of a text bubble are shallow af. I don't wanna be friends with them anyway. Morever, I live in Europe where Whatsapp is the common messaging tool.
@M16-bf4ku Then consider all middle and upper class as well as young Americans not your friend because it's just the truth of matter unfortunately. I'm an android guy who tried the iPhone 15 Pro Max for 6 months and dreaded it besides iMessage. Really was a game changer but not enough for me to stay with that phone. Hopefully RCS helps. Beeper was a game changer for like 3 months until Apple stopped them cold.
What a fantastic comparison. Ive been using samsung phones for 20 years now and have always tried to explain to Apple users the benefits of using a Samsung phone. You have done this do well and convincingly. Well done. And thank you. Ill definitely share this video in the future instead. Anyway i really enjoyed your video and look forward to watching more.
One thing that a lot of TH-camrs forget between iPhone and Samsung or iPhone and Android or Apple and Android is that Android phones come with faster charging technology. Apple still takes 0 to 100% roughly 2 hours where most Android phones today are charging 0 to 100% in under 40 minutes Samsung overall still takes 0 to 100% roughly 1 hour 10 mins ish. So when it comes to Samsung and overall other Android phones faster charging is one of the big key differences.
To be honest, 85% of the charge is done rather quickly in both phones, it's strongly slowed down in the last 15% because it's recommended to charge phones at 85% and not 100%, we have to see how fast can Iphones reach to 85%!
I’ve been using a Samsung S9+ for the last 8 years problem free until it crashed today somehow, thanks to you and a few other videos I will stay with Samsung and purchase the S24+ or ultra. Thanks man very informative.
I couldn't agree more on your size opinion. It was an adjustment going to my first Samsung Note, but LOVED all the features, and the kids loved the stylus to draw and color. (Those kids are now 18 and 17 btw.) When I upgraded to the Note 9, loved basically everything about it except having to adjust to an even larger phone. I have a great laptop and would consider getting a tablet, but hard to justify with phones this large already. Including my case, my 9 is over 7" diagonally so I have considered a flip or fold model. Unfortunately a contained stylus would be too important of a loss, so kind of stuck. My youngest is under 10 so definitely wouldn't consider anything that would deprive us of tic-tac-toe memories with dad that her older siblings all enjoyed or an on demand coloring book when she needs to be quietly patient at times. Great content. Subscribed!
Had a Galaxy Note for 4 years. Never a single issue. Traded today as wife received a email that our phones wouldn't be getting updates soon. But this phone says 7 years guaranteed.
A fair review from an iphone user. You took your time with the device and made a proper review even tho with galaxy device, there is always something new to learn
the thing with the samsung ecosytem is you have modes, you could just select the AT WORK mode and the phone goes into silent, the your google apps switch to your work account, your youtube and fbs and instas get disabled and your wallpaper changes to a motivational message.. ON TOP OF THIS, YOUR SAMSUNG PURIFIERS AND ACS STOP CZ NO ONE IS AT HOME, YOUR SECURITY CAMERAS TURNS ON THE MOTION SENSING HUMAN SENSING, ALERT MODES, YOUR WATCH GOES INTO DO NOT DISTURB MODE, WATCH STARTS TRACKING YOUR STRESS LEVELS AND ALSO CHECK IF YOU ARE DRINKING YOUR WATER WELL AND REMINDS YOU TO DRINK WATER, YOUR ROBOT VACCUM STARTS CLEAING YOUR HOUSE, YOUR PHONE REMINDS YOU IF YOU HAVE LEFT ANY OF THE DOORS OPEN OR IF YOU HAVE LEFT THE CLOTHES IRON ON THE WATER PUMP ON .. All these happen for me as soon as i turn on the WORK MODE WHEN LEAVING THE HOUSE
How dare you have a personal opinion. lol. I prefer the bigger phone, but I totally get wanting something a little smaller with all the same features. This was a great video!. The misconceptions come from 1) iPhone users who have never even picked up an android phone, 2) iPhone users who have not touched an android phone in the last 10 years, 3) iPhone users who tried some budget android phone that just isn't even designed to compete or finally 4) iPhone users that just don't take the time to learn how to use android. It does take some adjustments and willingness to learn to really get the benefits of using an android phone. If that's not something you want to do then, by all means, stick with the iPhone. There is nothing wrong with the iPhone. Apple makes great products. If you want more though, there are better options. Again, great video! I will subscribe.
I was a 100% apple user until itunes destroyed my PC. Since then I've used Samsung and am always amazed at the misconceptions most iphone users still hold of Android. They're just better phones for most things.
@@ericterrell7486 waaaaait a second!!! ITunes destroyed your stuff? Same here. The following day when it happened, I got the galaxy S5 and basically shot my iPhone 5 to pieces. Never gave apple a single penny ever since
Good choice bro, did the same thing. Got frustrated with iphones limitations, and bought the same phone you have. To me, this works way more logical and doesn't have to use itunes etc. So easy to transport videos and data between computer and phone and that Dex system is the best! Links to tv so fast and i can use my phone with my 75" tv as a computer, i have even bluetooth keyboard with it 🤘
Nice vid. I'm currently having a very similar experience. I've been with iPhone since 2011. I've been using the S24 for the last 3 weeks. What an amazing device. Apple offers so much less and charges you more for it. One can say that the iPhone 15 and S24 are basically the same price, but not really. Example; I bought the S24, 256 GB version on Amazon Prime day for $659. An unlocked iPhone 15 cost $829 and rarely if ever is discounted. The iPhone 15 still uses 60 Hz, USBC 2.0, no AOD, no FPS, the previous year's chipset and 6 GB of RAM and now no apple intelligence. The S24 gives you everything, including AI. Besides all the bells and whistles that Samsung throws at you, let's just talk basic functionality. Navigation on iOS is a mess, there is no numbers row on the keyboard or symbols, no split screen multitasking, no clipboard, the notification system is also a mess. Furthermore, iOS is so one-handed user unfriendly. Why do we have to reach to the top of the screen for the often used control center and notification center? Idk, there are still things I like about Apple and iOS but if you love tech and innovation then it's very hard to stick with Apple. Also, it seems like Apple is pulling the same BS with the iPhone 16; 60 hz and no AOD. So, if I wanted the equivalent of the S24, 256 GB version, then I would have to buy the iPhone 16 pro, 256 GB version for $1,099. No thanks. Keep up the good work. Peace.
Hey buddy great review, I am just about to switch to the S24 Ultra and watching your video im totally sold. Do you of any software how i can transfer my IPhone backup with passwords to Samsung.
If people in US think people with the wrong color bubble are "weird" then that's a sad state of society. People should be free to choose whichever phone they want. In fact they should pressure Apple into fixing these kind of monopolistic practices to discriminate with non-Apple products for no reason.
It’s made up by users. Apple created an advanced messaging system called iMessage, where the same unified app would also handle text messages (SMS). Since both are totally different systems, they needed to differentiate them (the message types, not the people) with colours. Then it seems people started to identify with that (at least in the US, in my European experience it’s a non-issue). That being said, more integration and universality between systems is welcome, and apparently RCS in Apple devices with help or solve that.
It's so interesting to me to see this side of the conversation. I've been using Android phones since 2.1 on my HTC Desire. Every misconception you've talked about on this video is something I've always dealt with. I'm currently typing this on an S22 and 8 within months... It's been a downward slide of software and hardware issues. This year, I decided to buy my first ever iPhone and pre ordered a 16 Pro. When people ask me why, I just simply say I want to try something new, maybe I'll hate it and switch back, or maybe I'll finally see what everyone tells me I've been missing.
My first and last Android phone was S9 Plus. I got it while having iPhone X (carried 2 phones at that time) because I'd been wanted to try Samsung/Android and I could confirm the misconception about it being slowed down was not misconception back then! It actually slowed down throughout each update compare to iPhone X (bought first day available). iPhone X barely slowed down, while S9 Plus started to be extremely laggy year 2. S9 Plus battery needed to be replaced after less than a year too even though it was not used that hard since I had 2 phones so average time used were shared. It's 2024 and iPhone X battery still hasn't been replaced even once. Don't get me wrong though. I'm not an Apple Fan boy. I'm sure S24 Ultra, Pixel 9 Pro, Z Flip 6, and so on are incredible phones now. Technology evolves every day and I love all tech stuff. I'd still like to try Android again one day, but my Android experience in 2018 led me to be too far deep in Apple ecosystem and switching now would cost too much money and time consuming and I think this applies to a lot of people throughout the years.
If there are features that are very easy (customizable home page), why wouldn't Apple just let people do it? I don't see why apple dick riders love them so much. Especially now that RCS messaging is a thing.
The second part is usually applicable to people with low income who can't afford to buy an iPhone but would appreciate it if their Android phone looked like an iPhone so that they could brag
@@NissanSkylineR32GTR depends on which Android phone you buy. If you are talking about the flagship phones like the Samsung S series, then yes. There are choices for Android phones, starting as low as $100. I wonder if you can get an iPhone for that price. 😂
Agree about the size. I have kept my old Note 20 ultra for nostalgia [last flagship phone with micro sd card support!]. That has a curved screen and is just a couple of millimetres smaller but somehow fits nicer in the hand. Also you didn't mention other features such a dual app view, scroll capture and dual video recording!!
I just upgraded from the 15 pro max to the z fold 6 (I was very close to getting s 24 ultra due to how expensive this was) but I'm not disappointed I don't see myself going back to ios this thing is amazing
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and have been with iPhone since the release of the first gen iPhone SE. I am picking up an S24 Ultra for work purposes, seeing that someone with a comparable amount of time with Apple speak about the S24 Ultra and not completely obliterate it for being an android is refreshing. Thank you this video helps a lot.
Get locked into google keep and google messages on your phone to access your notes and messages on your mac. And youtube music is a certified beast. I agree with you on a smaller S24 ultra smaller model.
Im an android user in the US. My main temptation to switch to iphone is to join my family in Apple's walled garden. My main reason for not switching is fear of being locked inside that garden for life.
I got an iPhone as the rest of my family. We got shared calendars, photo albums and notes etc. Everything is just easy. I do want to buy an Samsung but i’m afraid to lose the the simplicity from all the shared stuff. How do you share everything with your family today? Since you got an Samsung and your family iPhones. Got my fingers crossed you have a great solution 😃
I did choose and recently got the iphone 15 pro max. I have been an android user ever since and this is my first ever purchased iphone. I got the iphone 11 w/c I got as a gift just this yea as well and then upgraded to the latest. This is a breath of fresh air, however I do still have my android phone as a spare phone though it's not samsung but all android features they're talking about I've used it. I don't care for brand loyalty, I'll use whichever of these brands as long as I'm enjoying it. Lol
@@twig4525 we mainly use a combination of WhatsApp (messaging), Google calendar (events), and email (everything else). Aside from iPhones, they also have android tablets and Windows PCs (for work and gaming).. so we're not completely locked-in to Apple's ecosystem. The "lock" in the garden is kinda misnomer metaphor. You're "locked" only because you never want to give up the superior features of it. In other words you're not really locked, you simply won't ever want to leave.
If you don't buy other Apple Devices like the MacBook, Apple Watch, iPad, buy other Apple devices, or even buy music through iTunes then you should be good. I refused to be trapped in their ecosystem. An Apple a Year makes your money Disappear
Yes, you right. I would love to have a smaller s24 ultra. And, at work i have to use a iphone and i miss this notes app on android. This App is fantastic.
I really like the video, you mention the points that Apple is genuinely better at and point out various misconceptions. But I suggest you to dive deeper - the feature rich skin on Samsung phones is insane with nifty features at every corner. And the integrations with Samsung Flow, usability with DeX and seamless wifi sharing is very useful.
Well I'm still rocking the S20 Ultra 4 years later. Apart from one screen replacement, usb port and battery replacement the phone is still going great. I'm struggling in all honesty to find a reason to upgrade when the phone still works well.
Great video. I came from Huawei p30 pro to IP 15 pro max, and I felt like going back in time with the iOs. And some silly navigation gestures and many nonsense ways of things working in iOs are just unacceptable in 2024. IPhone is really behind. On the other side, Apple knows how to pull you in with smoother design and polished looking phone in general (iOs included). Then, I bought it due to Pro Res video capability and it’s one feature only that kept me away from Samsung S24 Ultra. Also, I wanted to try iPhone as I never was into that big bubble of ideology of having it. So, in summary, I love the way it feels to have it. On the other side, iOs makes me throw this thing out of the window and saying bad word very often which makes it useless sometimes. Then the camera saves it. But hey, how often do I use pro res? Not often, and Samsung camera is actually better in details and all in day to day videos even if it’s an AI generated detail, it looks good. So Samsung went way beyond what it was and people should wake up finally. Then at the end, it comes to the users preference so, it’s up to everyone individually what they like and choose. One thing I’d add to it, making iPhone basic models, come on, these phones are prehistoric. 60hz in 2024? Come on. Apple just bugging
I was an android user who switched to apple. I just do basic stuff on my phone, and the biggest difference for me has been reliability of hardware and stability of software. My EarPods, Apple Watch and iPhone are all now 4 years old and still going strong. I use all 3 of them heavily and borderline abused. My Galaxy products would not have lasted as long and were definitely more glitchy. My MacBook Air is 11 years old. Apple just works. The one thing I do miss about android is the customization part, but Samsung had a lot of useless bloatware.
Freaking thank you. I keep trying to stress to people that apple lasts longer and connections is much faster and seamless. Not to mention protecting privacy much better. Ngl, I would like better customization, but I would not sacrifice a better ecosystem and privacy just to customize the phone. It doesn’t make sense.
@@MinniNattyeverything you said sounds like someone who's never had an Android phone before. iPhones only last longer than 200$ budget Android phones. I'm writing this from my 1.5 year-old S23 Ultra that still feels as fast as when I bought it and with battery still in tip top shape. The desire for customization isn't just cosmetic. If you do anything on your phone you can be so much more productive on Android just because iOS lacks lots of basic features for power users. I wouldn't ever be able to daily drive iOS simply because the lack of a universal back gesture and a side panel would make me feel miserable. What you call "privacy" only means Apple is the one to hold onto your data instead of Google. If you're naive enough to think the richest tech company in the world is trustworthy enough to not sell its customers's data, there's no helping you. Apple's "ecosystem" is only comfortable to be in if quite literally all of your devices are Apple devices. If a single one of them is made by another party you'll be experiencing a miserable compatibility hell where all of your Apple devices will be fighting against it working correctly.
@@kiwisorbet I have owned Android, and never liked them. And I know people with Android who complain about those issues I’ve stated. But whatever you say. Also not sure why you feel the need to condescend to people on the internet. If that helps you feel better about you, by all means. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾😒
Sorry to burst your bubble but Samsung has always been more superior. Way back in the day when I purchased one of my first Samsung Galaxy Notes I compared it with the latest iPhone at the time and the Galaxy's specs were so much better. I did the same thing everytime I upgraded my phone and just so you know who the clear winner was every single time - Samsung. I have never owned an iPhone because I wanted the best, and the best back in the day was the Galaxy Note which has now been discontinued and is now called the Galaxy Ultra. It's the same phone in my honest opinion, just with a different name. I find that people who buy apple phones just do so to follow the crowd. These people don't do their research first and pay the price with an inferior product. If you do a pro's and cons list you will see that the Galaxy has far more features than the iPhone will ever have. That has always been the case.
Lol nah dude. When I go to a store and I hold a samsung vs apple the apple device always feels like higher quality. And there’s nothing else that makes a Samsung “better” they’re fucking phones lol.
When it comes to video, Apple’s social media apps(ie instagram, snapchat, tiktok etc) benefit from deeper integration with Apple’s camera technology, since developers only need to optimize for a single platform. This allows for better video processing and color accuracy. In contrast, Android apps often rely on more generic video processing because developers have to account for a wide range of hardware from different manufacturers. As a result, it’s challenging for them to optimize the video capture experience across all devices, leading to less consistent results. Google should implement improved color science at a deeper system level that all Android manufacturers can utilize, rather than leaving it to each manufacturer to handle within their proprietary camera apps. This would create a more consistent experience across devices, as currently, each manufacturer’s camera app produces different results, even when using the same camera sensors, due to variations in their individual processing approaches.
Yes, Samsung phones were slow and laggy but that was past, after introducing the new operating system "OneUi" now these are fast and fluid. Those who are saying Samsung and Android are very slow and laggy, they are 10 years backwards from today and don't know about smartphone technology.😂😂
10 years ago my note 2 was so far ahead of the iphone4s (both latest model at the time) that it wasn't funny. It was faster, better battery life, looked better, felt better, had better graphics, took better photos and had way more features. There was literally nothing the iPhone did that the Note 2 couldn't do and in most cases, better.
The smoothness of the camera swapping on iPhone is no dark magic; It's due to their lens layout. All three are equal distance from another, so they can use software to blend them easier. Going from the top lens to the bottom on the Samsung is a very far distance, and therefore has that stutter.
Beeper no longer does the imessage thing but RCS which is the android equivalent of imessage is coming to iPhones as iOS 18 rolls out giving all the features needed cross platform like high quality image sharing, read receipts and typing indicators
RCS is not android specific per se... It's supposed to be a global public standard (just like SMS/MMS/etc). The thing is.. even with RCS support in iOS, it'll still show as a green bubble on iMessage. In places like the US, you got an entire generation cultured to see the green bubble as an eyesore.
The ecosystem point is very true. Yesterday, I programmed and started the Samsung dryer on my S24 Ultra. Then I knew the laundry was dry when my son yelled that there was a notification about the dryer on the Samsung The Frame TV...
Best review, very informative. Will start "my transition" (no homo) with the galaxy s25 ultra. I purchased the 16ProMax and returned it. Excited to move on!
I've been rocking a Galaxy Note 10+ since 2019. Still a great modern phone and no noticeable lag after 5 years of using it. The only thing that has slowly diminished over the years is battery life. I'm still going to stick with it for as long as it lasts and will definitely get another Samsung!
I still use Samsung S10 lite since ages. It's using Snapdragon Gen 1 and it performs 4 years later or so as in the first day. Snappy, multi tasking, updated, Ai keyboard, and if it wasn't for the camera left a bit behind the latest novelty in the industry I might not consider upgrading to another Samsung device. So Android, Samsung & Snapdragon it's a winning combo in my opinion.
As someone who uses an S23U for a daily driver and an iPhone 15 MAX for work. The Apple ecosystem is amazing!!! They just work... Most of the time. That being said, I choose Android because there's so much customization you can do!! And once it's setup you should be good.
I just switched from iPhone 15 pro to Samsung yesterday and omg the camera is even better than the 16pro if you use the best hidden settings that not much people know about. Also the freeeeedom i have now to download anything! Block ads on TH-cam for free etc is amazing 👏 🤩

Same
@@jeffs2809Also, yes, there is no alternative to Apple iCloud on Samsung or other Android phones.

One thing that a lot of TH-camrs forget between iPhone and Samsung or iPhone and Android or Apple and Android is that Android phones come with faster charging technology.
Apple still takes 0 to 100% roughly 2 hours where most Android phones today are charging 0 to 100% in under 40 minutes
Samsung overall still takes 0 to 100% roughly 1 hour 10 mins ish.
@@ryuzaki2865 a bit longer then 1 hour like 1 hour and 20 min or something

All these happen for me as soon as i turn on the WORK MODE WHEN LEAVING THE HOUSE
I had an iPhone 13 and 14 pro max. I ran back to the 24 Ultra. I'll be staying with Android...

I switched to the s22 ultra. Loved it so much I pre ordered 23u and 24u. Android/ Samsung has won my loyalty
Peace.
USC was imposed to Apple by European laws. You would not even have it without it
I run both right now. I have the 15 Pro Max and S24 Ultra. My biggest complaint is the Samsung face unlock. It’s so bad on a phone of this level.

In fact they should pressure Apple into fixing these kind of monopolistic practices to discriminate with non-Apple products for no reason.
yeah, it's super sad how Apple gives way to elitism in the name of profit
Great review. Not another 2 week switch at launch. Currently on 15PM looking at S24U.
Why do people want iPhone to become android phones?? Or want android phones to become iPhones?? I don’t understand
If there are features that are very easy (customizable home page), why wouldn't Apple just let people do it? I don't see why apple dick riders love them so much. Especially now that RCS messaging is a thing.
Their are somethings that iPhone dose better than android and something that android does better than iPhone, their is always room for improvement.
The second part is usually applicable to people with low income who can't afford to buy an iPhone but would appreciate it if their Android phone looked like an iPhone so that they could brag

On s24 ultra great phone
September 2024 - my S21 Ultra is still as fast and responsive as when it was new
Very good and informative.

Big facts people just want to follow the trend and crowd instead of looking at the specs you’re truly getting for the $. 😢
Well i know many people who dont even wanna bother researching what they are getting they just buy the iphone
Lol nah dude. When I go to a store and I hold a samsung vs apple the apple device always feels like higher quality. And there’s nothing else that makes a Samsung “better” they’re fucking phones lol.
Hahahahaha bro just sit down
When it comes to video, Apple’s social media apps(ie instagram, snapchat, tiktok etc) benefit from deeper integration with Apple’s camera technology, since developers only need to optimize for a single platform.

@@jaycreswell7008 I know, bcz I have been using samsung's flagships since 2011 but OneUi is far better than their old Ui and even iOS.
