I agree with you and despite the ever evolving smartphones and their very advanced features. Smartphones still provide these important basic features: Calling Texting Taking pictures and videos as well. So this entire thing of bashing another person for using a different brand for a smartphone is stupid.
I think now that Samsung is committing to 7 years of updates, resale value for their flagship phones will start to go up. A few years from now, someone who just wants a secure phone can get a used Galaxy S24 and still get 3-4 years of updates.
Unfortunately this won't happen until Samsung stops with its promotions/sales. Their phones are always on sale, meaning it's never worth buying used unless it's significantly cheaper than what Samsung is offering new. With trade in incentives, sales, coupons, etc, the value is dropped out the gate. It seems to me that Apple battery life downgraded nowaday because the ipad air 5 battery lasts at least 8 hours while the ipad air 6 doesn't last that long so the iphone battery on their newest version is probably bad comparing to the previous version

It's bad that you didn't mention that the Samsung S24 and S24 Plus have a SD chipset only for US and Canada. So considering that if you want the SD variant it'll cost you extra money to get it delivered from Canada for example. The Exynos while it's not bad at all it still has it's overheating and battery consumption issues which for me is another reason I'd pick the iPhone simply because Samsung made a really annoying decision to make the SD exclusive to the US
@@shauryasaklani I don't own a S24 but as far as I know they've already fixed some of the issue regarding the Exynos chipset. No matter how many updates they make Exynos is Exynos, and Exynos overheats.
My Exynos has 11-12 hours of SoT and doesn't heat up. My experience is the opposite. My last Snapdragon device from the 700 series is actually the one overheating.

Onyx Black and Cobalt Violet are for some reason smoother and more comfy in hand than those which have silver rails, Amber Yellow, Marble Grey etc...Iphone 16 will have AI so I'm curious to see if it will be applied to camera software too

I've had Android phones my entire life, and then this past Christmas, I got an iPhone 14. I loved it up until the past couple of weeks (my battery capacity was draining quickly, most likely due to me being on beta updates). Then, this past Sunday, I went to AT&T and got the S24 Plus. However, part of me wants to go back to the iPhone. I did really enjoy it. I think part of me just wanted a better model (don't get me wrong, the 14 is an amazing model). I didn't like my camera zoom and wanted a better battery. Also, websites have better case offers for iPhones. If I had upgraded mine but stayed with the iPhone, I would have gotten either the 15 Plus or the 15 Pro. I feel like in school, especially, it's weird not to have an iPhone. It's almost like a social status, which pains me because I know there will be people who make fun of me. I think after my contract is done on this phone, I might switch back. The crazy thing is that I'm getting close to the same screen time as my iPhone 14, which had a 3279 mAh battery capacity, and this one has a 4900 mAh battery. That doesn't make sense at all, but I guess it comes down to the hardware of the phone.

For some reason, samsung went back to having the U.S. version of their phones to have the better chip. If you can, switch to the s23 where you get the same benefits as in the U.S. version.
Exynos chips are made by samsung, they are better performance wise I believe however more performance = more power typically so it calls for more power. The snapdragons made by Qualcomm are cheaper for samsung to use in markets where they have deals with Qualcomm namely the US. Therefore US versions of the S24+ will have better battery lives due to a lesser power consumption by the core.

I’m thinking of trading in my iPhone 14 Pro Max for credit towards the S24 plus. My main annoyance is that it’s an absolute pain transferring tv shows to the iPhone on a pc without iCloud. It doesn’t let me drag and drop no matter what I do unless I buy it in the store. I miss android so much and I also hate Apple gatekeeped “older” iPhones like the 14 for Apple intelligence: that’s just scumy. I hope my plan works out and that Samsung will work out
I have been off iPhone for so many years. The last iPhone I had was the 6. I switched to Samsung s8 and 20. I switched back to apple and got the 15 pro. I have no regrets and I love the phone especially the new AI is coming out that’s going to be amazing

So once again, it basically comes down to personal preference. Samsung may lean towards tekkies and people who like to tinker with features and options. Iphone may lean towards people who want more simplicity and slightly more polish. There is really no right or wrong. I mean, fanboys are gonna fanboy, but both are great phones.

My iPhone 15 pro isnt even making it to like 6 pm every night. Its one of the worst battery life iPhones I've ever owned.

Um... vivid mode doesn't affect hdr contents 😅 hdr use bt.2020 or dci p3 so when you watch hdr it switch to those color spaces 😊
