    I saw crocks so thumbs up. Those Perkins are hard to kill, if you maintain it it will last for ever.

    I "inherited" my brother's TO35 when he left for the city! Use it as back up for my NH TC29DA! My TO35 starts at 40 and drops to 20.,Glad I found your video. Was planning on checking oil filter was on right and will now check line! Not sure how much the NH drops, if any, but plan on checking before I start on the TO35. Also planning on changing temp gauge now that you make it look so easy on your other video!! Thanks. Can't beat a TO35!! Oh, also gonna try adjusting "play". Quit using it because of grinding, so anxious to see if I can fix that, too! Great videos!!!!!

      That's a great tractor. Glad to hear my videos are helping you get it fixed back up.

      The NH TC29DA has no oil pressure gauge, just a red warning light next to glow plug light!!! Can't believe I didn't know this!!! Would sure rather have a gauge and will have to read up on it! It's been a great tractor since I bought it new in 2005!

    I am about to change generator to alternator on my MF35 Perkins. If it sits a month or more it takes a while to start (air in fuel line?), but she runs good.
    I am tired of polarizing the gen, so changing out. I have a Ford 601 that has just lost oil pressure, maybe this technique will help me with that. I sure hope so, it gets a lot harder after that🚜

      Good luck! Hope that gets it.

    I see that your oil level was at half way up the dipstick. Always keep the oil 🛢 level at the full mark. Remember that the under side of the pistons is cooled by the oil 🛢 on a diesel engine.

    Man I don't know how to feel after watching this. I have a ford 9n that has not been started in years, and cranking it doesn't even squirt any oil out of the lines. Ok, I'm not sure if you should be able to get anything from just cranking, but I know on a small block chevy just slowly turning the oil pump by hand will prime the whole engine with oil. I was getting ready to hook up the ignition and carb to the ford 9n and I was trying to figure out whether or not the oiling system works. I guess I will blow the lines out with air and then just start it and cross my fingers I don't burn the crankshaft up.

      DAVID, don't take risks with your engine. Take the oil filter off and wind the engine over. Be careful blowing out oil 🛢 lines in case you get an air lock 🔐. Also take the tappet cover off and squrt oil onto the pivot points of the rocker gear. This makes a big difference when waiting for oil 🛢 pressure to come up. CHEERS!from AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺

    Will this work with cannister oil filter???

    • @FarmDad
      @FarmDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haven't tried it, but let me know! I don't see that being an issue.

    So the bypass must have been activated ? If so would swap out that filter too Dad. Best of days to you and your family !

      They are good tractors for sure. This one has never been rebuilt and the hour meter shows 14000 hours and it hasn't worked in decades. 😆

      After changing piston rings and reassembling my SAME Explorer 80 Special. I started the tractor with rocker cover open I then noticed that cylinder 1 and 3 are geting oil pushed up but cylinders 2 and 4 are not getting oil what could be the problem
