was hoping to see you prime the fuel system and restart the engine.

Pretty easy to prime these Perkins engines. Crack a couple injector lines loose and use the lift pump to prime the system and it should fire right up.

You did not show the most important part. After you get your filters in place turn on the fuel and then bleed the first filter inline and then bleed the second filter. Both bleeders are at the top of the filters. This gets rid of all the air bubbles. Any air left in the line and it will not start or it will run for 30 seconds and motor will die. If so just re bleed the filters again I use XP3 diesel fuel treatment the best I ever seen for getting rid of water in fuel A bit pricey and hard to find. Last time I bought it it came from Canada. . They have it for gas motors too.

@@thedelcodave I’m having fuel problems with my 1998 Massey Ferguson 231 tractor. Supply line and fuel pet cock stopped up with rust. The tank has been discontinued from Massey Ferguson.

I saw your comment regarding yesterdays tractors for part numbers. Where is the best place to buy parts for these tractors? Wanting to do fuel/oil filters and change on a 35 diesel

If you are in the USA Yesterday's tractors has been pretty good for parts. They are part of a group that includes tractor Joe and all state ag parts. Prices were good and shipping was fast.

@@thedelcodave thanks! Having trouble finding part numbers for the secondary fuel filter!

You may have to pull the old one out and take a look for numbers or at least be able to compare to the pictures. There are a few different options@@Projects4fun9

How did you turn off the fuel tank? I just replaced the smaller filter and diesel just kept flowing out during the whole process....

Mine has a small valve right where the fuel line exits the fuel tank.

Hello, I have a fe35 from 1959. I need to replace the exact same fuel filter. Can you tell me what part number is the filter you got? Thanks for the video.

I purchased the filters from Yesterdays Tractor the part number for the one was CAV7111296. The cartridge one was part number 1850450M2. If you go on their website they have cross reference numbers for other part numbers including the original MF part numbers. Good luck on your tractor.
