Yeah a new video been waiting patiently, I actually checked last night to see if you had posted anything new , and the very next day your new vid pops up 😀👍👍
Hey, good to hear from you! It actually should have been up 2 weeks ago but I had issues uploading it. I'll try not to keep you waiting as long next time. Thanks for checking in 🙂
@@davesworkshop2714 , your paying work always comes first m8 , don’t mind waiting glad your busy 👍look forward to any new vids as and when you can get time to do them Dave 👍👍
Thanks again!!
Glad to see you again
Hey Ants! Hope all is well, I've got a lot of catching up to do on your videos.
Ironically I thought last night if you were still going and then this landed, great to have u back, u have been missed 😊😊
Thanks Tim! Glad to hear I was missed 😀. Sorry for the delay, hopefully they'll be a bit more consistent now!
@@davesworkshop2714 more missed than u know, we all are grateful of ur time when making these videos, so keep going and being awesome obviously, always easy watching u at work 😁
@timbogriffiths I must say, I missed uploading and waiting for the interaction with viewers, it always makes it worth the effort and gives a boost to tackle the next job. Thanks again, it's people like you who take the time to watch and comment that keeps people making videos!
Looks lovely tractor hope get it running
Thanks Alex, it didn't put up much of a struggle!
I'm not sure I've ever seen so much water in the fuel filters before! I'm amazed how easily it started up once you got all that sorted out. Nice little tractor!
I really expected the worst when I saw it, I expected the pump to be in a bad way. I'm glad I checked it over properly. Hope all is well!
Good to see you back Dave 👍👍
Thanks Mickey! Hopefully the videos will be more regular now, it was a busy few months.
Welcome back Dave, great start with the MF 35X. Missed your videos.
Thanks Kevin, it's good to be back at it!
Welcome back!
Thanks! Looking forward to bringing more videos soon!
Welcome back Dave, have missed your interesting videos, all the way from England
Much appreciated Nick! I'll try and keep a bit of momentum with the videos now.
Yes do another video on the 35
Has to be done I think. Its a lovely little tractor!
Welcome back. Time flies when you are busy. Years ago i spent many an hour driving one of these. She is in good condition for her age. Thanks for the content
Thanks Rob! They are a surprisingly nice tractor, it was my first time driving one but I can see why they were popular. My dad had one, but it was a 4 cylinder and it put him off MF for life, switching to Fordson/Ford.
I had one of these before, mine was 63 model, let's see more videos!
Thanks for watching Tom. I'll make another one on it soon.
Relief all round that you are back in action. Always appreciate your content. Best from a wet Hampshire.
Thanks very much! It's great to be back, I missed the interaction 🙂
G'day Dave, Another Dave saying G'day from Australia and thanks for the new video. Look forward to the next video :) Cheers mate
Hey Dave! Thanks for taking the time to watch and say hello! Hope all is well down under.
Great to see you back Dave and good to see another video 👍👍
Thanks very much Martin, great to hear from you!
Man that thing fired rite up
I couldn't believe how easily it ran!
Welcome Back! Great return!!
Thanks!! Great to hear from you, hope you are well.
Glad to have ya back. Great video as always
Thanks Freddie, good to hear from you, hope you have been keeping well!
My dad had one. Thats what i learned to drive tractor on. Late 1960s early 1970s.
A nice tractor to learn on having driven it.
Great video and what a fantastic tractor, hope to see more on this one.👏
I'll definitely do another video soon, it definitely deserves it! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
Hi David welcome back. Good to see you back .them 35 are a lovely tractor 👍
Richard, great to hear from you. Its a funny thing when I went a lot of time without posting I'd find myself wondering how all the regulars were getting on. Hopefully less of a wait next time!
Hi Dave it's brilliant to see you back, how you and the family all good I hope? that was a great find and thank to the previous owner who had the ability to store the tractor in a dry shed and give it a chance of a second life. Looking forward to more of the same form you.
Barry
Barry, great to hear from you, hope you've been keeping well! All good here thanks, just very busy! Must catch up on the 990 soon!
Excellent video Dave glad to see you back the mf 35 are almost bomb proof as proved the way it started instantly we have one on the yard scraper starts all weathers looking forward to more videos
Thanks Glyn! Hope you're well! I couldn't get over it, even faster than the Hesston to start 😅. Need to pick something harder for the next one!
Great video🤠
Thanks KT, great to hear from you!
Well done Dave. Great to see you back doing another Will It Start.
Thanks Alan! I must say, I'm overwhelmed by the reception this video has got, its good to be back!
Good to see you again Dave. These are the best tractors ever built. Have one exactly the same here. My Mate across the road had a 35 with a standard diesel and it was a real bugger to get going and was covered in leaks. Good to watch mate
Hey Steve, hope you're keeping well. I need a few hours soon to catch up on your videos! She's a nice little tractor alright. My dad had a 35 4 cylinder years ago and he said it was a total pig to start.
@@davesworkshop2714 I have heard that said but we have a 1960 vintage Standard 4 cylinder diesel engine and its never been a problem to start.
@kennyriach yours must have very good compression. I've only ever heard horror stories, but then, they used to say the same about the Ford York and I've seen ones that had no issues
Hey Dave! I’ve been thinking about you brother, I hope everything is well with you and your family, it’s really good to see a vid from ya!!
Hey buddy, great to hear from you! Hope you are well. I must catch up on your videos soon. Life has been crazy but getting there.
Glad to see you back & looking forward to the next video on this machine !
🙂👍
Hopefully you won't have to wait too long 🙂
Good to see you back Dave. Would like to see those bits and pieces finished, wiring and the primary fuel filter etc. Those cute little head lamps sorted would be a good finish.
Thanks John! Yes, it's definitely worth doing some more work on, it's hoped it'll go back to work. Thanks for watching 🙂
Good to see you, please can we get an update on the yellow digger?
Hey, good to hear from you! I'll do a video on it shortly, I've had some advice on fixing the rams I want to try.
@@davesworkshop2714 great, looking forward to seeing it, all the best.
Thanks again!
Good to see you back Dave your not wrong about the summer what summer 😮. Nice old 35 X my brother sold his one has Ferguson p3 now he is still using it. Its lashing down with rain here this morning i am supposed to be out working on a customers car. The filter was fill with water. I fitted a brand new one of them lift pumps to my brother's 35. Agriline one i think it was. She has a nice plow on the back of her. Nice one buddy another great video 👍👍👍🏴🔧
Great to hear from you Ali! Hope all is well with you. Must catch up on your videos!!@
@@davesworkshop2714 Ach av not done that much Dave the weather has been so wet. I have been busy with customers car's. I don't film any of that.
welcome back Dave well worth the wait grew up on the massey 35x great tractors
Thanks Patrick, good to be back, missed the interaction with viewers! They're a great little machine!
I eas so young when i started driving that thing, i would have to pull up in the steering wheel to depress the clutch. Then dad got a MF 135. They both would run 24 hours a day during peak production.
I was the same, I started on a 5000 with no power steering, don't know how I managed it!! Thanks for watching.
Lovely tractors, so much nicer than a Dexta
Yes would love another vid please
I'll get working on it! Thanks for watching 🙂
Great video good to see the channel alive again
Thanks again Rob. More soon hopefully!
Good video
The 35 x is just the deluxe edition
My dads is 3cyl and not a 35x
Yes the 4 cylinder was a brute to start even hot it needed a tow
35x wasn't a deluxe version of the 35, it was an upgrade, more power, upgraded hydraulically a few other minor changes
Thanks! I always thought all 3 cylinder 35s were Xs so thanks for clarifying, every day is a school day! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
Thanks Ronan! Not too well up on my MFs.
@@ronanwalsh7024 fair enough I always thought it was a deluxe edition
Have a 35 like this one would love to see many more videos please, Kenny Shaw
I'll be sure to do another one on her Kenny! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
That's a dynamo ignition switch, there is no "on" Position, to the right is cold start and to the left is glow plug and then start with glow plug assist.
Thanks! I've never seen that before on any tractor! I must figure out what the switch up behind the dash does.
That engine is throwing out a lot of blue smoke, probably just rings or sleeves glazed a bit. If the oil pressure is holding up when the engine warms up it should be ok, if not it probably needs a top end rebuild.
Ronan, I'm hoping it'll clear up with a bit of running. It had started to clear already and the pressure held. It's more grey than blue so less likely to be oil burn. Thanks for watching.
I like the Irish bonnet prop 😂😂
Infinitely variable 🤣🤣
@@davesworkshop2714 Good job you had the old battery 🤣🤣
@@nickb5391 except I kept stumbling over it 😂😂
I hear you had to come to the other massey in your life (the combine) we nearly had given up on a video ever again welcome back
😂😂 It was nice to do a bit of work out it again! Looking out at the mist here and wondering when it'll get to cut. Great hearing from you Noel, I'll probably see you above some day soon.
hi davo it 4.30 am here Sydney iam the first
Hey, hope I'm not keeping you awake 🤣🤣. Thanks for watching
Get it fired up
She wanted to live!
The ignition switch is correct you turn it clockwise to run the heater and further to turn over the engine if you turn it anti-clockwise it starts the engine without the heater.what I don’t understand is where all that water came from!
A neighbour I spoke to figured that all the water inside the tank (some of it possibly condensation despite the tank being pretty full, must have found it's way to the lowest part of the system over time. I was really surprised to see so much that far into the system! I guess the fact that there's a drain plug there means it was designed to work that way.
👍
not a real 35x that ,its just a 3 cyl 35 with optional diff lock . dynamo bracket isnt same as the 35x
Yes, that's just as standard 35, as denoted by the 35 on the bonnet... it's not a 35x
Tommy, thanks for that, I don't know that much about them and always thought all 3 cylinders were the 35X. Thanks for clarifying 👍 🙂
MF made 3 cylinder 35s before the 35x the x means 35 with diff lock as standard equipment
Thanks Geoff, I didn't realise that, I assumed all 3 cylinders were the X.
What do you think an ignition switch would do the electrics are only for starting you stop mechanically!
Paul, every tractor I have ever worked on has had an ignition on position, regardless of having a mechanical stop, along with every other machine I've worked on from excavators to some older trucks. The 35 must be unique!
Yay!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
😊
Welcome back!
Thanks very much! Hopefully no more disappearing acts 😂😂
