The Zeong is a design you grow to love, it is ugly as sin to a degree, but the concept and the uniqueness has a certain charm to it. It is by far one of my favorite designs in the UC.
I love how it absolutely has that unfinished prototype vibe to it, but is still menacing. Cant wait till p bandai try's to sell me just a pair of legs for this kit

Rising star with it's remote arms, the Zeong can attack in any direction without changing its location. So it seems like maneuverability isn't a big concern for Zeong.

Logically, the best "mech weapon" form is a fighter with arms, a lá Galava from Dunbine or our beloved Bigro: the legs, which are but a landing gear and locomotion on land are useless, because thrusters can allow for legless movement, even under gravity. The arms are the only useful limbs. The head is also almost obsolete.
The Zeong mouth beam effect part for a microphone on a stand was quite hilarious, like a stand-up comedian on stage rather than a jazz singer to Amuro!!!
I think that this "headphones" look isn't accidental: WWII radio specialists used large headphones, and the Psycommu is revolutionary in the same way as battle radio communication.
I just recently built this kit, it was a ridiculously fun build. But the tabs at the end of the fingers were a nightmare to remove. Luckily I figured out a way to lever them out as to not break them, but jeez were they tight. The rest of the kit was a treat. This kit definitely warmed me up to the look of the zeong for sure.
If I remember correctly the second cockpit is because the Zeong was originally intended to be piloted by two people. (Interestingly two people end up piloting a Zeong variant in the Thunderbolt manga)
Tiny detail I loved, if you look at the joint for the head and neck the hatches are modled for getting from the torso cockpit to the escape pod head one.
You're not really missing out without the RG RX-78. So many better 1/144 versions of the grand daddy, maybe they can do a 2.0 RG since RGs are actually really good now
So far I’m really have been loving the new RG kits they have been releasing , definitely better than the previous RG kits that came with Iron Blooded Orphanse , one that I really wish that they would make , would be a standard Titan Byarlant in a Real Grade , PLEASE Bandai Great review as always , hop that you really enjoy your Zeong , I am so far enjoying mine and the design is growing on me.

I just bought this kit recently and as soon as i finish building it, i know my inner ten years old child won't resist trying to pose it with a middle finger because of those articulated fingers before trying to go a bit more serious lmao
One of the things that I was worried about was whether or not the fingers would be poseable. I am not disappointed, and it's a very smart use of the premolded joints

In case you're still looking for those effect parts, there are some pretty decent 3rd-party kits that exist for it. The one I got only has the beam effects for the fingers and the booster effects for the thrusters and arms but that's all I was looking for anyway, and buying that kit and having it shipped all the way from China was still cheaper than buying the official Last Shooting set at US MSRP.
I got my kit about two or three weeks after your video went up and I still havnt made it. I have always admired that it dosnt say a number on the box and just says mobile suit gundam last shooting zeong effect set.
What are you talking about? Mecha's version of Perfect Zeong is perfection. Just imagine, if Zeon actually use THAT Perfect Zeong in the battle of A Baoa Qu, just how could Federation fight when they got distracted by them? Those legs could change history itself.

Good kit, BUT, the Last Shooting Set requires you to ditch the Zeong's whole body AND get a separate Grandaddy Gundam (preferably the ancient RG one) in order to get the famous pose. That just seems like quite the rip-off considering that the set would've been cheaper had Bandai included only the yellow Effect Parts. Still, very solid kit of a very cool suit
Was expecting it to be Gundarium tier. It's beautiful as hell. Probably one of my favorite inner frames looks wise. I don't have one yet, but if it proves to be as good to build as the RG Nu, this will probably my GOAT Gunpla.
I want it and I hate how it looks. I have a little high hopes for the upcming RG Wing Gundam TV version. I don't expect it to be crazy, but I do hope they put in a little extra effort.

This is perfect for the HGUC the origin ver of RX 78-02 than the RG variant due to design and realstic looks.
