My girlfriend got me into gunpla since she knew I loved building LEGO. I started with the RX-78 with G-Armor and I bought an RG Exia with it because she said "buy something that looks cool" and now I have a little collection going on and a good backlog of kits to build. Exia was the first Perfect Grade I bought even though I won't be building it for some time. And now I have a constant itch of "I need to build more." It is quite addicting and I love it.
I started building this year (2022) & have built a couple of all of the grades except PG (mainly due to the cost). As an older guy, I find building MG kits easier because a lot of the parts are bigger and there tend to be decals rather than stickers which are easier for hands that aren't as steady as they used to be. This break down was really well put together and I've already sent it over to a few of my mates who are interested in starting gunpla to help explain the pro/cons of each kit. I started last year. Started with HGs then NGs and MGs, and then back to HG. I recently did an RG Crossbones. It was a great kit, but very challenging for someone older, with not very nimble fingers, and not great eyesight. Loved it though and trying to decide on another RG. With just a panel line marker, the Crossbones came out looking like I was a good modeler.
@@jrmarcus The V gundam is the NU gundam. They just call it NU gundam. So the HI V gundam on your local store is actually the HI NU gundam. hope this helps
Just a tip, if you find your poly caps are loose throw them in some nice hot water and then water with ice, it’ll hopefully manipulate it enough to create a tighter grip once again
After starting with early RG's and then building everything between, HG is definitely becoming my favourite. I've only recently got into airbrushing and scribing, I like to be able to snap a kit up fast and then spend longer costuming it
I would say RGs are even more difficult than MGs, cause they have the same complexity but in a smaller scale, making it harder to fiddle with the parts when building it.
I love MG because their size and detail just feels right, even when they didn't have an inner frame they still looked great on shelves. I haven't made an RG yet, but they look so good that I have to try one at some point. I am jealous that HG has such a variety of kits that the others don't, but I do plan to grab some to practice painting.
My favourite line is still HG there's tons of variety you can choose to grunt and obscure suits and it's much more customizable because you have some kits having the same joints and same build process.
My opinion as someone who has been building these for 2 decades now. HG: These are so expensive that they're almost never worth it over an RG but because they're the cheapest to make, a lot of cool models are only available in this size/detail RG: Excellent detail, good price, but they're tiny. Great for people who don't have a lot of shelf space and just want to snap them together and have them look good. MG: Best option IMO. Great size, great detail, decent price, you can paint them and customize them. The downside is that every cool model is limited edition PBandai. PG: Way too expensive, if there's a model you absolutely must have or if you're a hardcore builder or if you're rich.
I have started building MGs but as of late I am gravitating to RGs. For me the RG line is a fine balance between detail and scale; and RG saves shelf space.
Great breakdown! I've built a bunch of HG, and a couple MG and RG. I think RG is my favorite line so far. It has the best mix of size and detail for me.
Thank you for this breakdown. I was always curious about the RG gundams. I've pretty much have stuck to MG builds within my budget. Trying different paints over the years and now getting into airbrush so I can do amazing builds like you have. If I were to go with a PG I would got with Wing Zero Endless Waltz version.
I like mastergrade most. Small and compact while still having enough detail without needing to add detail, to make it far more worth it than the Highgrade.
Recently got back into model building after 6 years and my local hobby store began carrying Gunpla Kits. Ive always been interested in building mecha kits. I have 3 done so far. HG Barbatos and Bael and a RG Exia. Ill still buy HG kits for fun but I had so much fun with the RG Exia. Took me a lot more time but the pay off was worth it. It's also way more solid.
My second gunpla was a PG, and it is honestly my favorite over RG and MG. I love how big and detailed they are and that really scratches that itch in my brain.
First gunpla kit was Freedom Gundam ZGMF-X10A MG, given as a gift to me. Let me start by saying as intimidating as this kit was I found my groove and enjoying every minute of it. I have since built multiple HG kits and find it lacking the detail and engineering efficiency that MG provides but still loving them none the less. I just ordered the new RG God Gundam kit hoping to find that sweet middle ground. Im still new to panel lining and when it comes to decals. I just love the fact that even if you have a lower grade gunpla kit you can still beef it up to higher standards of esthetic beauty with customization.
Started 2 years ago and have numerous high grades, 5 master grades, a handful of real grades, and the pg rx-78. I don’t think I’ll be stopping anytime soon.
This is the best breakdown of kit grades so far my favorite kit would have to be the MG. It gives you a bit of everything: Good pricing, detail and it's not too difficult or time consuming. So you can put together a lot of great builds and not give up too much of your time.
Based on this video, I went with the RG Exia as my very first Gunpla build. I had a blast! I do have model building experience, but still made a couple of mistakes due to not understanding some of the instructions. I don’t know what the parts are called, but they were slender, translucent blue plastic not sticker things that went over some of the parts on the thighs and arms. Anyway, it was a good time and hooked me on the hobby. Coming from WH40K, I was amazed at the precision of the parts, the articulation, and not needing a single drop of glue or paint! Since then, I’ve done several HGs and RGs and am in the middle of my first MG build. So far, the RGs are my favorites with the balance between detail, price, and construction time. Thanks for putting this video out! It definitely helped me.
RG Epyon was an absolutely amazing build. Epyon has been my favorite Gundam since I first watched Gundam Wing on Toonami back in the 90’s. Amazing detail and challenging, but the results were absolutely stunning.
I JUST got into this hobby, I bought a MG Gundam WIng Zero EW, and a HG Barbatos Lupus Rex. Finished my Rex last night and I am hooked. Ty for the video explaining the grades, now I know what I should expect from certain kits.
I started gunpla September of last year. My first build was a RG wing zero and I've only built HG since, so I can only comment on those 2 grades. RG was more fun to build but HG is my go to when I want to get my gunpla fix
I just started last week lol I've only watched the original gundam, and orgin so far. I just started gundam zeta. So char's zaku 2 orgin hg was my first build. Next I have the orgin version of the 78. I want to do mg next though
I was building gunpla for over a decade and a half before buying and assembling my first perfect grade kit: The Perfect Strike Gundam. It was a long build, but it was totally worth it!
Just finished my first gunpla yesterday. It's MG Duel Gundam with Assault Shroud and it feels so good. Now I'm looking between MG and RG for the next one. The inner frame is fun and cool feature I like which HG doesn't have. I hope they release more IBO or G Witch kits for MG in the future.
I just started my first RG Tallgeese and I’m glad I started here. I was going between MG and RG, wish I found you video first, and picked RG. MG is my next build for sure! I’m hooked
just got into it last year from running into the gundam base in NYCC '23... i've really loved the RG and i didn't know so few of them were available. (I always find HG.s and MG's, easily). gonna perfect my building and move to a perfect grade at some point. nice video =)
Before I like MG because it also well detailed but when i build my first RG, i began to love it. It is more faster to build and almost same details as for some MG kits. Also it is cheaper and almost you can say its a mini MG.
Love these kinda content! It allows more folks who are interested to get a clue on what they're looking into. I finally paid an homage to grandad by buying the RG version, just because I've never built a complete RG. Had a Justice RG but couldn't continue due to losing a part of the shoulder. But I do have a PB Seven Sword RG but that's for reselling purposes.
My favorite gunpla grade would be RG because of the great amount of detail and astounding articulation that provides more room for posability. Congrats on the HLJ affiliation and reaching 5k subs!!

My first and favorite so far is real grade due to the amount of detail in a small package and it isn't as time consuming, im gonna try perfect grade eventually i hope.
I got my first master grade Exia and put it together just fine except the right hand does not hold his sword shield correctly. But it was my first ever and happy with it. Now I'm hooked and looking to get more!
You are correct, the real fun and challenge of HG was the modifications, there were lots of magazine tutorials in how to do them (pre-internet days) all in Japanese
Saw this video now, started litterally a week ago. My friend gifted my a HG mazinger Z infinitism kit. I don't know if it counts, but I'm liking it a lot.
Great video! just getting into building this and I am having a blast. My firs was a RG and it was a great experience. The only thing I would say about the video is that I would have loved to see images posted in the video when you where talking about different specific Gunplas. Being new to this world it would be very educational to start learning about them and having a photo would be great to learn to identify them.
Thanks for the run down man! Just back from Japan and got my first kit and it triggered an interest into the way gunplay is scaled and graded. So very helpful! Just got a HG but the RG looks like it would be a great second kit choice
Just got into this side of the model hobby from RC/miniatures. I am currently building a HG Zaku Sniper as my first kit so HG is my favorite so far. I really like that shirt and great job on the channel.
Thanks for the explanations and showcase! I'm new to Gunpla and just finished my first MG a few days ago. Its an exciting hobby. I have a few more favorites that I want to work on.
FINALLY! one very clear video on the difference between a grade... (personally I love the RG because have the skeletron inside and good level of details/prices)....
My first kit was a high grade quan[t], my second kit that I finished yesterday was a master grade jesta and I loved that build. My next build is probably going to be the real grade hi nu. After watching a few vids on it, the style of it is absolutely beautiful to me and they made it a decent bit bigger than a normal rg. Like right in between a hg and mg in size. So it'll be a perfect size to detail ratio imo, right smack in the middle.
Glad to hear that you're affiliated now! Keep it up! I'd say my favorite grade is HG, and mostly because its price range can't be beat for builders like me who can't really dish out the money all too readily. However, RGs are growing on me-I have both the RG 00 Qan-[T] and the Nu and while the Quanta is my all-time favorite suit, the Nu has been outright outstanding, and is really making me rethink my love for HGs.
My friend got me into the kits. As someone who super casual, but enjoys the process, HG is mostly what's on my bookshelf. I have a few RGs, but the ones I've built are a bit annoying since they always seem to fall apart if I look at them wrong.
I'm so excited for you to be with HLJ now! Great video as always bro My favorite Gunpla grade is MG because: The scale of Master Grades make it pop up more than a 144th scale does in my opinion. The amount of detail that can be seen within the MG line-up including, articulation gimmicks, decals, panel lines, it's all just great.
For me MG hits the sweet spot. - Size is great - Detail level is great - Most importantly --> Decals (water or rub on) Except for the PG I also have no grades, HG and RG. But where possible I buy separate decal sets, because those stickers... With respect to difficulty there should be no hesitation towards any grade. It's mainly the amount of work.
Thanks for the video man. Truly appreciate this. I was a big gunpla fan as a kid and did tons of build but lost them. Trying to get back at it as an adult and this was the perfect video to help me out man. Things have sure changed since I was like 11 lol. Got a new subscriber outta me!
Me too! Watched wing on toonami when I was a kid. Saved money to buy HG kits to use as action figures haha. Now I just ordered a HG guncannon that my little boy picked out and giving a MG tallgeese a try, since wing is where it all started. My old man got me into animation as a kid so he's going to pick a kit up and we are going to have a little build party and help the kiddo out.
Grew up building gunpla but even though I don’t build anymore I still love gundam and enjoyed your video. Pacing, lighting, tone of voice, you seem like a good dude. Subscribed!
I was able to buy PG unleashed at a local hobby store that has gunpla. Walked in and they had three sitting on the shelf. Ended up buying it the next day and was kind of surprised it was still there. Still haven't built it.
I'm just here so I don't get fined. But also here to add it'd be dope to see a breakdown like this for the secondary lines, like SD, FM, RE/100, NG, FG, etc! Great video dude, loved the funny bits you put in🤙🏻
I think an important detail you missed is sometimes grade might be overall irrelevant to the person's needs. This guide is extremely useful for people who only snapbuild their gunpla. But some of the older 1/100 or 1/60 no grades are perfect painting kits. Sometimes size is an overall better judge of a kits characteristics over a specific grade.
Love this video. I have the RG of the Wing Gundam. Because it was one of my first anime character I ever saw from Gundam Wing lol. I also got as a birthday gift the RG Freedome Gundam because I love love love Gundam Seed. Currently saving up to get some RGs or higher of the unicorn and Exia or even another, so many to decide from lol
Hey, I got into Gunpla when the pandemic happened and we were stuck inside way more than usual. It's become a great hobby for me and a great impact on my stress and mental health. I remember doing research on Gunpla as I had no idea these dope Gundam model kits were out there. I think I was only able to find one good video explaining the different Grades. Glad to see a new video on that subject for new people getting into the hobby can find and watch. I think you did a fantastic job explaining and showing the differences and it's good to see there's now at lease 2 really good videos explaining the different grades. Keep up the great work man. Looking forward to watching your other content.
If you're a beginner, RG or HG is good choice. If you have some experience or you're aged (like me), then definitly MG or PG. Although they're more complicated, but their parts are normally bigger and to be honest, we have a lots of time...
my first gunpla was the PG rx-78-2 (old one), and i fell in love with it from that (as well as the show), whilst building it i was like "it would be a dream to own all of these". Its been 7 years since then and im proud to say ive got 10 out of 13 with the other 3 ordered from a supplier for end of year delivery. You can make your dreams come true if believe in yourself. And when say all PGs i mean all base ones, ie i have the Raiser so i dont need seven sword, or i have the unicorn so i dont need all 7 colour variants. I feel like most people want quantity over quality, and i guess thats where the appeal of RG stems from, as you can have more great models for cheaper, that take up less room, and like yourself maybe splash out on a PG or two. But for me its about making each one as special as possible, so i custom paint all my kits, now im even learning to panel scribe to take it to that next level. In saying that, i think i own 17 gunpla models in total (including my PG), but i also build and paint star wars kits and few tanks. im fairly limited by shelf space, so i try to get the most out of each of those projects too. btw i totally get what you mean about the new MGs, ive only built one, the ver ka sazabi and honestly its a better build than most PGs, its not quiet as wow as them but in terms of a fun, non frustrating build with some little transformations and level of detail, it is really top notch. Tho i havent built the PGU yet, that might be better.
Random tidbit idk if anyone else mentioned, but the first perfect grade kit was technically the EVA unit 01, an official Bandai model kit, and labeled Perfect Grade one year earlier in 97
I started with MG kits as a new comer to gunpla, it felt like a wall at first and I don't have the agility to put in stickers so MG's pros were helping cause they don't need much color corecting. I've finished 2 MG kits and doing a 3rd one (wing 0, Epyon, BLR full mechanic grade and I've got 3 boxes waiting, DX, 00QuanT and Phenex) but I love doing this. It's a change of pace from gaming 24/7.
MG is my goto. I just finished a RG God Gundam and it's awesome when complete but too many small pieces. Have yet to step up to PG due to pricing and time but will one day. Great video 🫡👍
I have the RG Exia from 00 It's been a little rough to build but this is my very first Gunpla kit. There are so many tiny stickers it's almost unbearable but i think all of the grades come with alot of stickers. And some pieces tend to slip off as well. All in all I'd still love to collect more and I'd love to own a PG Exia but I think MG-RG is my suited area Im happy my girlfriend encouraged me to buy exia and a little tool starter pack
Use to gunpla at a younger age, has always been a passing for me and I’m glad ID hasn’t died with gundam. Just recently pick it back up with my first HG and you guess it right a RX-78.2 lol
even though i have been in the modelling hobby for over 20 years, i find a solid HG kit to practice fundamentals on is advised before moving to more intricate RG kits. everything from scribing, panel-lining, shading, and customizing can be practices on HG kits due to their low cost and barrier of entry.
I started building in the late 1990s early 2000s. My first Gundam that I had ever built was a perfect grade Altron. Since then I've done other models but now that I've gotten older it's just easier for me to stick with the perfect grades cuz I have problems with my hands and seeing.
rg is where i live, working with the smaller parts has really helped with my shaky hands and the satisfaction i get from this is great especially finishing amatsu mina's head.
One major flaw I think they left out is the glowing of the Gundam eyes with LED’s. It was a major staple of the show, when ever you saw them light up it was a nostalgic feeling. As of right now I’m at RG’s. It’s gonna be a year before even trying MG.
I only recently discovered about RG. My last Gunpla splurge about around 2007, I stopped buying, by then I had a bit more 100 gunpla, most 1/144 some 1/100, 1/60. I didn't forget about them, I kept in displays and took em out from time to time. Very recently I went into a manga & anime store and saw some gunpla and I went for it, fuck it! That's where I picked up 2 real grades and 5 High grades of new gundam series. I had no idea wtf a RG was, but I finally build one last week, funny enough the same one you used, the Quan T 00. I gota say I was was extremely impressed. This was not enough gunpla for me, so I went ahead and ordered online like 20 HG kits, a couple of of RGs and...yeah 4 Perfect Grades. I do not own any Perfect Grades yet, but I always dreamed of owning some. In my defense, some of the PGs I wanted did not exist yet. This PG exia, I do plan on getting it later, instead I ordered the 2 Gundam 00, the Strike Freedom and the Gundam WIng 0 PG. This last one is amongst my favorite gundams ever. It's good to see videos like these, I don't have many people to talk about gunpla. I finally got a better idea of the different grades. I was only familiar with No grades, which I do own several, HG and MG. Though this doesn't seem to mean much, as you said, I even back in 2007 I bought from different eras and then the ones I bought recently, as you said, I noticed the clear improvements on these kits. I had the Gold Frame Amatsu Mina in several scales and recently saw it had a RG version (BTW by far my favorite gundam ever) and the RG actually has insane amount of details, can't wait to build it.
tbh my two favorite grades is HG since they’re always saving space and they’re just a nice little touch to my room and RG since my top 2 are in RG. Plus they’re really solid and they’re the perfect size for me.
Both MG and RG for me. MG for the perfect size, incredible amount of part separation for the most part, and having some of the best aesthetics without being too busy or overcomplicate stuffs. RG for simply the existence of god-tier gunplas that are the Sazabi, Nu and Hi-Nu.
First, thanks for an awesome breakdown this was very helpful. I do think I just jumped out the window as I went to a store out here in Abu Dhabi (working here for 8 months) and I picked up 1 kit in each grade lol Yes each grade: HG: Gundam Nataku EW RG: Wing Zero EW MG: Deathscythe Hell EW PG: Gundam Mk II Titans Prototype I did get the PG at a bit of a discount which helped me pull the trigger on getting it. I haven’t put together a kit in over 10 years but I plan on starting with the HG and working my way up. I also haven’t watched a lot of the Series outside of Gundam Wing. But the Exia and Strike Freedom kits are on my radar. I also saw the store has some Ver.Ka kits available so I may double back for either the Nu Gundam or the ZZ I think they had. Thanks again for the content.

HG: These are so expensive that they're almost never worth it over an RG but because they're the cheapest to make, a lot of cool models are only available in this size/detail

MG: Best option IMO. Great size, great detail, decent price, you can paint them and customize them. The downside is that every cool model is limited edition PBandai.
PG: Way too expensive, if there's a model you absolutely must have or if you're a hardcore builder or if you're rich.
Expensive? Dude they're half the price of a real grade at most what do you expensive?
I have started building MGs but as of late I am gravitating to RGs. For me the RG line is a fine balance between detail and scale; and RG saves shelf space.
A VW beetle saves space in the garage too, but its ugly to look at. I hate the 144 scale which dominates the RGs
Great breakdown! I've built a bunch of HG, and a couple MG and RG. I think RG is my favorite line so far. It has the best mix of size and detail for me.
The detail is super nice, especially on the newer RGs. I am dreading the tiny parts whenever I finally get to building the RG Crossbone though...
@@aMillaGunpla Think of it this way, once you build it you’ll have only increased your ability as a builder. Happy building.
I love the RGs even the early ones. The amount of detail in each one is amazing.
I like mastergrade most. Small and compact while still having enough detail without needing to add detail, to make it far more worth it than the Highgrade.
If early RG kits get a 2.0 treatment, I'd definitely go with the RG line. I just find the early RG face plates weird
Zeta needs a 2.0 xD
I agree with you there, especially with the face plates of early RGs. The Astray's face plate is the weirdest among them
@@luisfernandolucena20 Sinanju needs 2.0 treatment too
Thank fuck it happened
@HighEffortUsername which ones got the upgrade?
As someone who has always loved Gundams and looking to start building Gundam models this video was very informative.
I just recently got my first perfect grade: the Perfect Grade Unleashed RX-78-2 and I love it. Took me nearly 2 weeks to build. 4 hours a day
First gunpla kit was Freedom Gundam ZGMF-X10A MG, given as a gift to me.
I just finished HG Calibarn and she is GORGEOUS 😍
I just built my first RG and I have to say I was impressed. Scratches that itch when I can't find a MG I like. Hoping to get a PG soon.
Go for High Grades. My personal favourite is RG, and HGs and MGs even out for me, but their availability and price make High Grades a must.
Yeah the PG strikes are all really good
Just finished my first gunpla yesterday. It's MG Duel Gundam with Assault Shroud and it feels so good. Now I'm looking between MG and RG for the next one. The inner frame is fun and cool feature I like which HG doesn't have.
I hope they release more IBO or G Witch kits for MG in the future.
Bought an MG Exia recently and built it overnight without any sleep. And i'm gonna say IT WAS FREAKING WORTH IT!!!
HG and MG are the sweetspot for me. Not too easy and not absurdly difficult.
My favorite gunpla grade would be RG because of the great amount of detail and astounding articulation that provides more room for posability. Congrats on the HLJ affiliation and reaching 5k subs!!
Thanks Valky!
Congratulations to Manuel Villeda, Daniel Mohd Zaki, and Valky for being the 3 winners for the Essentials T-Shirt giveaway! Please email me at amillagunpla@gmail.com, message me on Instagram, or through Discord within the next 7 days to follow up on receiving your prize 🙂
@@aMillaGunpla OMG! Thank you so much!! I'll message you right away. 😊
I have built some HG and they are tons of fun.
My first RG was the 00 quant and I'm on love!
I love mg, my only gripe is the lack of selectIon
200 models is not exactly lacking
@@Michel-Graillier-fanclub compared to 144 scale I think so
I started building in late 2021 and I have to say, I personally love HGs because I can tear them apart and kitbags without any stress 😅
Just bought my first kit to build, RG Zaku 2 06F, a good nipper and some panel liners. Hope it turns out good lol.
FINALLY! one very clear video on the difference between a grade...
I got a few HG and had fun building them, honestly this popped in my recommendation and im glad it did!
Thx for the overview
Glad to hear that you're affiliated now! Keep it up!
I'd say my favorite grade is HG, and mostly because its price range can't be beat for builders like me who can't really dish out the money all too readily. However, RGs are growing on me-I have both the RG 00 Qan-[T] and the Nu and while the Quanta is my all-time favorite suit, the Nu has been outright outstanding, and is really making me rethink my love for HGs.
RGs have been getting way better over the past 2-3 years too! I don't blame you for switching over lol
SD and EG for me is best start since EG finally got a revamped kit lines and simple and easy to put, same with SD but sticker heavy.
I've been steady in the Master Grade realm for awhile, and there's a spectrum of detail within it!
I'm 6 months late to this video but I started this hobby 1 week ago. Been enjoying it so far.
Great video as always bro
My favorite Gunpla grade is MG because:
The scale of Master Grades make it pop up more than a 144th scale does in my opinion. The amount of detail that can be seen within the MG line-up including, articulation gimmicks, decals, panel lines, it's all just great.
Just completed my PG Exia Gundam lighting mode last week. I like PG and RG. MG is so so. HG is good for experiment like color painting.
Bought my first Gundam kit the other day on a whim. They had a decent selection of Grades and models at my local Hobby Lobby.
Wish me luck!
This was awesome man, totally just started getting into building gundams, ordered the HG strike gundam for my first build! I'm pretty excited for it.
Lovely breakdown and review for each class. Simple, easy to understand with some history behind the gunpla line. Well done mate
For me MG hits the sweet spot.
- Size is great
- Detail level is great
- Most importantly --> Decals (water or rub on)
Except for the PG I also have no grades, HG and RG.
Subscribed!
MG Kyrios is my first build. I'm going to be getting started this week I'm waiting on some tools. Your channel will be a great resource for me!
I was able to buy PG unleashed at a local hobby store that has gunpla. Walked in and they had three sitting on the shelf. Ended up buying it the next day and was kind of surprised it was still there. Still haven't built it.
You should do a tutorial video on applying different types of decals. Stickers, dry transfer and water slides!
I got into these when it was HG, than the MG. Kind of want to get back into this because the better grades looks so amazing
I'm just here so I don't get fined.
But also here to add it'd be dope to see a breakdown like this for the secondary lines, like SD, FM, RE/100, NG, FG, etc! Great video dude, loved the funny bits you put in🤙🏻
EG's need some love too! LOL
Looking forward to watching your other content.
i needed this vid so much. wanted to build gunpla forever. finally starting.
Random tidbit idk if anyone else mentioned, but the first perfect grade kit was technically the EVA unit 01, an official Bandai model kit, and labeled Perfect Grade one year earlier in 97
That's true rx 78 isn't always the first when it comes to grades
I started with MG kits as a new comer to gunpla, it felt like a wall at first and I don't have the agility to put in stickers so MG's pros were helping cause they don't need much color corecting. I've finished 2 MG kits and doing a 3rd one (wing 0, Epyon, BLR full mechanic grade and I've got 3 boxes waiting, DX, 00QuanT and Phenex) but I love doing this. It's a change of pace from gaming 24/7.
I love how inexpensive HG is and how much detail the newer kits have. That said, my fav is RG, followed by full mechanics.
I just jumped into gunpla and bought 7 perfect grade kits to kick off the display case looking at more atm and will drift to master grade after
MG is my goto. I just finished a RG God Gundam and it's awesome when complete but too many small pieces. Have yet to step up to PG due to pricing and time but will one day. Great video 🫡👍
I have the RG Exia from 00
It's been a little rough to build but this is my very first Gunpla kit.
There are so many tiny stickers it's almost unbearable but i think all of the grades come with alot of stickers.
And some pieces tend to slip off as well.
All in all I'd still love to collect more and I'd love to own a PG Exia but I think MG-RG is my suited area
Im happy my girlfriend encouraged me to buy exia and a little tool starter pack
Use to gunpla at a younger age, has always been a passing for me and I’m glad ID hasn’t died with gundam. Just recently pick it back up with my first HG and you guess it right a RX-78.2 lol
I just built my very first MG during the Holy week. Happy to see one of your vids again:)
even though i have been in the modelling hobby for over 20 years, i find a solid HG kit to practice fundamentals on is advised before moving to more intricate RG kits. everything from scribing, panel-lining, shading, and customizing can be practices on HG kits due to their low cost and barrier of entry.
I started building in the late 1990s early 2000s. My first Gundam that I had ever built was a perfect grade Altron. Since then I've done other models but now that I've gotten older it's just easier for me to stick with the perfect grades cuz I have problems with my hands and seeing.
There is no PG Altron though, maybe you mean the MG 1/100?
rg is where i live, working with the smaller parts has really helped with my shaky hands and the satisfaction i get from this is great especially finishing amatsu mina's head.
Great video and everything but why did you put rg quanta on the thumbnail when everything else is exia...
tbh my two favorite grades is HG since they’re always saving space and they’re just a nice little touch to my room and RG since my top 2 are in RG.
Glad to see you’re posting again!
Trying to post more! I keep getting side tracked and "busy", but I'm working on becoming a better person 😅
First, thanks for an awesome breakdown this was very helpful.
I do think I just jumped out the window as I went to a store out here in Abu Dhabi (working here for 8 months) and I picked up 1 kit in each grade lol
Yes each grade:
HG: Gundam Nataku EW
RG: Wing Zero EW
MG: Deathscythe Hell EW
PG: Gundam Mk II Titans Prototype
I did get the PG at a bit of a discount which helped me pull the trigger on getting it.
Nice haul! The PG will need a small Philips screwdriver, might wanna double check if it’s included before you start it!
Nice! Good to know, I’ll most likely leave the PG for when I’m back stateside so I got some time.
I remember collecting RG and HG kits before. Now, I got back to building Gundpla's and this time it's a RX - 78 MG
