The decals make no sense. The mobile suits that are used in 'Gundam Wing' are supposed to not be able to be traced back to where they or the pilots come from. Having faction symbols and the model's name and number on this is pretty dumb. It would look so much better without symbol/name decals.
@@schpoopl certain kits like zeta, Zaku, and destiny yes, but other kits such as the real grade gundam mk 2, which I have and enjoy, and the gundam zephyranthes are pretty solid kits and while the rx-78-2 had its flaws it’s not as bad as the others.
@@schpoopl RG kits before the Unicorn and Tallgeese has problems, mainly the MS Joint. It gets loose overtime. RG kits now is like a mini MG. Currently my favorite grade.
@@Sinononon rg unicorn is not as good as the other newer RGs tbh. i built one and small pieces like the inner hip armor keeps falling apart. but it looks amazing tho so im not complaining

Tallgeese only has the MS joint on the backpack and the actual mobile suit is straight up built like a MG so that kit technically starts the mini MG type of RG. Its that or the Sazabi. I forgot the number list of the RG line.
I have to mention something Mecha missed. This RG Wing TV ver doesn't actually include an opening cockpit or a pilot figure (yep, no Hiro). It doesn't bother me as much cause I never dislay my kits with cockpits open and my pilot figures are always not displayed, but I just wanted to mention it just in case this is something that bothers you guys so that you won't regret after you receive the kit and be all disappointed. I have to say though that this has the best transformation to Bird amongst all released Wing kits. Edit: Also Mecha forgot to transform it into the eagle like form Bandai showed when advertising this kit, so I am just going to confirm that it can do the transformation and looks pretty cool. Just bent the legs forward and bent the shield down

due to how the RG Wing's original "secondary Bird Mode" gimmick transforms I think it is possible that we could get a RG Epyon because its transformation is the legs folds over the back to give in its "two-headed dragon mode" which the RG Wing could do in the first place, though MechaG didn't show in the video but it's on the box and instructions.

Just got mine yesterday, I was cutting to the Target store's toy aisles when I decided to take a look at their model kit section and was so surprise to find an actual Real Grade (typically the only have First and High Grades) and I couldn't help myself. 🤣
few little things missed, may be he’s too excited about this great kit 1) whole back pack is able to move slightly up and down for more better proportion in between MS mode and bird mode 2) when separate the shield to show beam saber handle, there’s a gimmick to push out the beam saber handle 3) Macross mode🤪🤪
@@ry0usama511 the other thing to consider though is the design of the kit and how the design would limit articulation with the cockpit. The shape of the Crossbone and Tallgeese allowed for it, and the size of the Nu torso relative to the Wing meant the cockpit would not be inhibiting movement. The Wing torso is more compact and the position of the cockpit on the design would not have worked with the structure without affecting everything else
I like this model regardless. the new wings make it look better than before. the wing Gundam was my favorite Gundam before wing zero. but I consider wing Gundam my guide because if not for wing Gundam I wouldn't be a fan of any anime at all. and if not for the wing Gundam phoenix I would not have found the Gundam build fighters and not be inspired to build my own custom Gundam models like the Wing Guardian Zero or Chaon Gundam of chaos, or even Roes-scythe and more
This RG is better than the original MG version hands down. The structure and strength of its joints with proportional bends is beyond it. The details along with the come back of the color separated whites it looks incredible. Once finished it really gives back feelings of building for the first time again it’s so great. This kit and wing zero ver ka have been outstanding wing kits.

RGs are super solid these days that I would love to see either a Victory or ZZ RG sometime in the future. Hopefully by then Bandai can pull off those transformation gimmicks, esp. the Victory series.
I hope they make an rg psyco gundam mk ii so there is a good 1/144th scale model kit of it. Also an rg ground gundam so i could be milked with an ez8, ground gm, the blue destiny units, slave wraith, etc.
Hey Mecha have you considered splitting your category into two separate scores? One for how it is in relation to its grade(your usual system) and one for how much you recommend it.
Love to see this. A HG Wing kit from the late 90s was my first Gunpla kit. Love to see love for this guy since I feel like Bandai forgets it and just makes more Wing Zero customs
if it's the new RG Wing or the RG Wing EW then i would say get them both.... i have the RG Wing EW since 2017 and it's still holding off just fine and i can't wait to get either this, the RG Hi-Nu, the HGUC Xi, or the newly announced MG Eclipse
I did a mini one in the middle of the gun girl lady video I did. It’s pretty good, I mainly use it for removing parts from runners and cutting out poly caps. Not the greatest for nub removal, you will need a file for cleanup after.
Dude not only does the kit look phenomenal, you Mecha did an awesome job building/reviewing it! Honestly this might be the best looking result I’ve seen on your channel, just beautiful. The lighting and camerawork has come so far, idk how it could be better. (I haven’t seen even close to all your vids, if there is another your especially proud of pls let me know and I’ll check it out!)
I know, but at the same time we FINALLY got a Real Grade for the epyon on the way, which is great cause I’ve been for that for a long time and hope Bandai doesn’t delay it with a stupid zeong variant.

Hey Mecha, There is one interesting nipper you wanna check. It's as good as the godhand one but here I put this one here for you to google it. B08DTW7TB3 I watched the review of it and it's the cleanest cut of all nippers to date.
I think the reason why it's not standing properly is because you forgot to put the backpack in place. I believe the back pack do slide up and down for the transformation and most of the review, the mobile suit mode had the backpack lowered slightly. Might have messed with it's center of gravity. I dunno i just noticed
Coming back to this, it's the Wing EW, the Glory of Losers version. So far all of the Wing Real Grades are the EW versions for the actual model (Even the P-Bandai Tallgeese TV version is just the slight change in colors from the series while not changing the model itself)

I got mine last week and the mold was ass, 1 leg was all floopy, knee armor had a huge seem. I almost gave up finishing it but powered through. As always guy beware of reprints, my hi-nu had a huge seem flat down the middle of the head, but i digress.Overall amazing, but be prepared just in case.
to me, who always goes Ew to any Gunpla with letters E and W at the end, this is a Godsend, and a sign that OG Wing MS design is getting more popular as it should've been for years.
The Proto Zero is an EW thing that looks like the TV version, but has a few minor esthetic differences. The HGAC Wing Zero is the TV version. Personally I don’t want an RG Wing Zero TV Vers as I’d be too worried about the ankles since for the transformation the feet fold up inside of the legs and get sandwiched in like that. The Proto Zero had a slightly different take on the transformation in that the feet rotate, toes hinge downwards, legs split open (the only similarity on the legs), and then the feet slide upwards.

RG jus keeps getting better, except they just remove heero figure and cockpit gimmick
The cockpit gimmick was limiting articulation and also affected how the torso held together for most kits so it’s plain to see why they removed it

I watched the review of it and it's the cleanest cut of all nippers to date.
Given how RG's have advanced so far, wonder if we'll get a new Zeta or a Zeta plus? Maybe Gaia Gear, since its transformation is simpler.

I think the reason why it's not standing properly is because you forgot to put the backpack in place. I believe the back pack do slide up and down for the transformation and most of the review, the mobile suit mode had the backpack lowered slightly. Might have messed with it's center of gravity. I dunno i just noticed

Coming back to this, it's the Wing EW, the Glory of Losers version. So far all of the Wing Real Grades are the EW versions for the actual model (Even the P-Bandai Tallgeese TV version is just the slight change in colors from the series while not changing the model itself)

I got mine last week and the mold was ass, 1 leg was all floopy, knee armor had a huge seem. I almost gave up finishing it but powered through. As always guy beware of reprints, my hi-nu had a huge seem flat down the middle of the head, but i digress.Overall amazing, but be prepared just in case.
to me, who always goes Ew to any Gunpla with letters E and W at the end, this is a Godsend, and a sign that OG Wing MS design is getting more popular as it should've been for years.
The RG kinda looks like a cross between the "EW" Wing and the OG version

The Proto Zero is an EW thing that looks like the TV version, but has a few minor esthetic differences. The HGAC Wing Zero is the TV version. Personally I don’t want an RG Wing Zero TV Vers as I’d be too worried about the ankles since for the transformation the feet fold up inside of the legs and get sandwiched in like that. The Proto Zero had a slightly different take on the transformation in that the feet rotate, toes hinge downwards, legs split open (the only similarity on the legs), and then the feet slide upwards.
