    Glad you touched on cramping towards the end because that's what was instantly going through my mind when you said to maximally contract the hamstring in that shortened position :D

    Interesting, but the hamstrings usually pull in the long (eccentric) position.

      Probably because they’re not you and you’re only one of 8 billion people on the planet…so what happens to you might not be the center of the universe for everyone else.
      Are you pretending to have the self-awareness of a third grader, or is this a real issue for you?
      And the answer to your inane question is: they’re complaining about cramping because they felt cramping…because cramping can happen when muscles are flexed in positions they’re not accustomed to.
      Was that really the extraordinary intellectual journey you wanted it to be?
