    So far loving my 2022 Kawasaki Mule Pro-Mx LE with EPS.. I had 3 2016 Polaris RZR XP1000 and One Slingshot after 11 months of owning all 4. Polaris bought all 4 machines back due to tons of recalls

      The north star premium with heat and ac. Is 26k. It's not a huge price difference. This is essentially a smart car/mini truck.

      Vehicles at or below this price
      Jeep Wrangler
      Elantra N
      WRX
      Jeep Gladiator is just above at 37k
      Civic si
      Civic type r is just above
      Even the bronco starts below if you can get it at MSRP
      This price is ridiculous and dont even say its because its an EV. Chevrolet just lowered their price of the Bolt, which has a larger pack, to 25k. That's 10k less than this

    • @bartz118
      @bartz118 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be fair even the none EVs are expensive. I own a Northstar Ultimate and paid around 27k. I think the MSRP for a new Northstar Ultimate is 30K.

    The word "experience" must be trendy while I am not. An "order session" is a new one also, but when that becomes trendy, someone will explain it to me. Otherwise, I've driven an older electric ranger and really enjoyed it, and we modified one a few years older than that by replacing the OEM battery with a bunch of truck batteries at a cheaper cost and it seemed to be fine. It is strange hearing all the sounds that are normally covered up by the gas engine sounds.

  • @tarfeef101
    @tarfeef101 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wish these could be taken on the road. My buddy doesn't want the investment of an efficient car or the expense of an idler car which drinks gas and needs maintenance. But if he could drive this to my place we could go out to trailheads/deactivated FSRs that big vehicles can't do

    I really would like a electric side by side for buzzing around the ranch and to work in town but no way am I paying 25-30 grand for a side by side that gets 35 mile range.

      There at least used to be a much more affordable one with much less power and bling. Probably just lead acid batteries but I can’t recall.

    • @TFLEV
      @TFLEV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes the Ranger EV uses much more basic lead-acid batteries - not as fast or exciting but cheaper at $14,999. Still on their site.

  • @bobkare1015

    Is this for everybody? No. Is it expensive? Yes. Like all new technologies, the cost is high. Just think about the costs for PCs in 80s and 90s. Expensive and slow. But for some this is great. The lack of noise is important. If you are outdoor, doing hunting, or just do not want to create more noise than necessary, this is great. I live in Norway where we have a lot of EVs. When I go abroad the first thing I notice is how loud traffic is outside of Norway. Noise can be cool, but it is also pollution. Great to see Polaris making this offering.

    Thanks for covering this very interesting vehicle. I have been waiting ever since Polaris and Zero announced they were working together. I am surprised it uses Zero’s largest motor, 110 hp seems a bit much for a limited speed vehicle like this. I expected that they would use Zero’s 70 hp motor.

    A $30,000 Plus side by side. Who notices an additional grand here and another 4 grand there. Everyone has a kitchen drawer with bundles of $1,000 bills and bank accounts with $100,000 cash balances they casually snap up to run out to buy a pair of $30k side by sides, a $25k toy hauler to put them in and an $70,000 pickup to tow them around with. Living the dream.

      These vehicles have more than double the torque of an ICE vehicle with a similar trim. It would get you out of more situations while mudding than an ICE would. It matches the tow rating and has a higher payload than comparable vehicles. What issue would you have with it compared to an ICE? Battery life/Range? Charge time?
