Thanks for doing this video! For what I do, the Kioti diesel would be my pick. I have a 2009 Kubota RTV900 which is a diesel with hydrostatic transmission. I bought it used in 2012 with 50 hours on it. I have used it a lot. It has about 650 hours on it now. Don’t know what I would do without it! It is a real workhorse! The only thing I have done is standard maintenance and a couple of batteries over the last 12 years. We also have a 2021 UTV 590M Gator gas rig. They are two very different machines. I use the Kubota a lot more than the Gator. If you need speed, the Gator is the one to use. If you want to work, the diesel Kubota can do it all. I am not crazy about the CVT on the Gator! It is too jerky when starting out! Plus changing the oil filter is a pain in the you know what! I would not buy another Gator!
Thanks for watching!!! Appreciate the feedback on the machines that you have had success with. The great thing about this place in time is the amount of options that we have. All machines are different and some are better than others. Your feedback was awesome! Thanks for watching!
Grabbing a morning coffee and heading out to the road to get your mail would be very nice in one of these machines. Some farmers even tried electric bikes to get around with but there's the pay load limit. I'm sure some bulls and Billy goat would love to have a go at and give the bike a run for the money.
Inhave looked into the bikes and they are expensive! But you are right! Some think that life on a rural property is all checking fences and tending to animals…but the reality is it’s just space. Closing that space with a quiet machine is nice. Time will tell how it lasts; but so far it’s been very pleasant to ride!
my neighbor and i were in a hunt club on the eastern shore of Virginia and i was on the back of his Kawasaki 750cc 4 wheeler and riding down a back road....i looked over his shoulder and saw 65mph on the speedometer...i tapped out at that point,we weren't even wearing helmets...loved your video joe wish i could come hunting and riding w you...
Man, those Kawasaki atv's are WAY faster than they need to be! I have a Prairie 650 that's 21 years old and the throttle has never crossed half way with my thumb on it! Appreciate you brother.
I have a 02 Honda Rancher w/ the electric shift . Very fast ! But the older I get I like the comfort of my Polaris Ranger . Plus I can carry more . I use the ranger for work on the lease , I use the Honda to get to the stand . Great video . Really like that Bighorn
Very good observations about those who worked the land before we had machines! Our old pond here was likely built by horse and plow. My excavator buddy told me that after he patched it up a few times. I'm with you, hard to fathom not having a machine!
You are EXACTLY right! You read my mind. The whole point of the video is that they are all great in their own way. We are blessed to have machines that make life a little easier. Thanks for watching my friend!
Hey friends, pastor Fred in Rockwood TN. Thank you sir for this comparison. Once I get access to my 20 acres, this will be one of the first things I have to buy, and your "steep" part is about like my driveway will be, 3/4 mile from the road, rising 300' to the flat spot where I will build my cabin/home... this was good info!!!
Thanks buddy! I was thinking of you when I had the mechron out. You still happy with it? And thanks man; not trying to be anyone other than me. Enjoying all the new challenges along the way! Thanks buddy!
@@JoeTheFarmeryes! I have been happy with the Mechron. Kioti has discontinued it for some reason. The Mechron can definitely haul a large heavy load. Good review. Would love a golf cart tho😅
I have the Kioti Mechron single row seater. I purchased and installed a cat 1 three point hitch with an electric/hydraulic pump. I can pull a 4 foot 2 gang disk, a one row cultivator, a single row hipper, and a middle buster with a potato shovel type plow for digging my potatoes. I very seldom use my tractor for gardening anymore, except for planter and bush-hog. They are great machines, if you need the torque of the diesel engine. Great video, Thanks
Nice comparison. 30 years ago I loved my four wheeler. The last few years I prefer the golf cart or the side by side. The old body can’t handle the four wheeler anymore lol. Great video. Thanks for sharing, sir!!
Excellent job I like the side by side comparison. I think the golf cart is probably the best thing for me. I like the simplicity of it. I have enough stuff to change oil in. I also think about all the people used to have to do and where did they sleep until they built some thing. They were alot tougher than me.
Hey Dale! Yes, they were WAY tougher back then. Watching shows like 1883 remind me that I couldn’t hang brother. The golf cart is great! Need to have you come by and give your “professional” opinion!
Nice comparison! I have started using an eBike for my casual riding around the homestead. I am searching hard for a solid utility side by side for working around the place. I enjoyed the video!
I really like the Greenworks mini bike; but a full size would be amazing. Which one do you like? So many good side by side options out there brother. Test em all before you pick what you like. Thanks for watching!
For an ebike, I got a Rad Power Bikes Radrover 6plus. It was a sponsor deal, but I love it because it gives me some exercise, but allows me to easily ride all of my trails quietly. Great for hunting. I’m still on the fence about the SXS models. I’m trying to learn about them all!
My favorite of the group is Clay’s Honda. I’ve owned several and you can’t beat the reliability. Currently I own a Polaris Ranger XP 1000. It rides like a Cadillac but has a lot of power for work and play.
Man, that Polaris is a NICE machine. They do ride like Cadillacs. And I’ll tell Clay his Honda got a vote. He will appreciate that! Thanks for watching! 😁👍🏼👊🏼
Hey Joe! Love this video. Want to do an updated version next summer with a Rev 1? We're building a 2-row electric UTV with 200 miles of range. It can tow 3500 lbs and carry 2000. You can also use the vehicle to power tools/pumps/machinery, with 12 kW of onboard 120 / 240V power. We'd love to see how it performs in this comparison... especially the hill climb!
Electric is very nice. I couldn’t have it as the only machine; but they have come a long way. The future will be interesting for sure. Thanks for watching!
Our family favorite is our EZGO golf cart. Way easier than our Polaris TM or Honda 4TRAX. We plan to buy a new polaris electric side by side soon. Electric rules for the reasons you stated. Only problem is the 4 HP electric does not tow well, but it can tow around the barnlot.
Thanks for watching Bill. The Kinetic is a beautiful machine but that price is sky high. Check out our recent video on the Kandi utv. Its less than half the price, powerful and all electric
They are very slow. You may want to check the spark arrestor on the muffler because when that gets clogged it will bog that machine down big time. Thanks for watching!
Dang; you are 100% right. Didn’t even think of that. Lol. The diesel would win for sure. These new high rpm gassers would do well in L, but you are right. With a load it would be a struggle.
You are really trying your hardest to make that electric golf cart to shine. But It just doesn’t have a place in a farm . The 2 best vehicles there for a farm. Your neighbour bus and the ATV . The diesel is the best one . Because you don’t have to store a different fuel in your barn
I appreciate your input; but have to disagree. Almost every land owner I know has a ratty old golf cart to tool around on. Now, this is a VERY new golf cart and would be better served with a bed and some racks; but for sure I believe an electric golf cart has a place on a farm. The Mechron is a nice machine but it's slow and bulky and the atv is nimble and quick but has zero storage. All have benefits and drawbacks; hope that came across on the video. But, for what it's worth...the golf cart did surprise me with the beatings we have given it. But a side by side is more efficient.

Great video Joe! You were having too much fun I think! I like them all!! Can't beat having a good machine or 2 for the farm! Cheers brother!
I thought I was watching Monster Garage, Joe!! 🤣🤣 Tractor Hard! 🚜💪!
Sure was fun to film!!! Thanks for watching buddy!

Thanks for watching buddy! I’m like you. Right tool for the right job!
Very good observations about those who worked the land before we had machines! Our old pond here was likely built by horse and plow. My excavator buddy told me that after he patched it up a few times. I'm with you, hard to fathom not having a machine!
Amen brother. So grateful to have the ability to own and operate tools that keep the property up. Hope all is well as you prep for the opener!
All great machines in their own way. Very handy to have when working a decent sized property.
You are EXACTLY right! You read my mind. The whole point of the video is that they are all great in their own way. We are blessed to have machines that make life a little easier. Thanks for watching my friend!

Thank you for watching my friend! All the machines will get you there; just a matter of what else you will need to do. Appreciate you watching!
Great job Joe! Love seeing them side by side! What a pro TH-camr you’ve become! So proud of you.🚜🇺🇸😎😍
Thanks buddy! I was thinking of you when I had the mechron out. You still happy with it? And thanks man; not trying to be anyone other than me. Enjoying all the new challenges along the way! Thanks buddy!

That you for watching my friend!!! Notice my sons four wheeler is newish and mine is over 20 years old! Lol. Fun playing with all the toys. 😁👍🏼

@JoeTheFarmer I don't know about professional but I can give a opinion.
@mileshiles1287 THAT is what makes you a pro in my book. Lol
Nice comparison! I have started using an eBike for my casual riding around the homestead. I am searching hard for a solid utility side by side for working around the place. I enjoyed the video!

Great info; thanks! I have a little knowledge of side by sides so reach out if you ever want some insight
Great video Joe! New subscriber today!
Thanks for watching and appreciate you coming along!!!

Awesome video, another good test would be to tow some implements like utv rake etc and see if the golf cart would be enough ...
That is a great idea! I know it wouldn’t be able to pull anything up the hill but dragging the driveway it may. Thanks for watching!
Have 2. The atv, 2013 Honda rancher 420, and a side by side, John deere 835r gator
Awesome! How do you like the gator?

That sounds like a heck of a machine. Let’s do it!
I have a Polaris General and it's a great side by side. But I often wish I had a quiet battery operated machine that had as comfortable a ride.
Electric is very nice. I couldn’t have it as the only machine; but they have come a long way. The future will be interesting for sure. Thanks for watching!

Love that golf cart. Wish it was 4wd with low torque motors.
That would be awesome for sure. But man it is so good looking! Thanks for watching!
At the coal mine we drive the Kubota side by side and it's super slow
They are very slow. You may want to check the spark arrestor on the muffler because when that gets clogged it will bog that machine down big time. Thanks for watching!
I like the diesel. My preference
I don’t disagree! But I like em all!!! Lol. Really can’t go wrong. Thanks for watching!
What about Hisun electric
Didn’t have one for this test.
Do you work at tractor supply
Nope. No relation to TSC. Just like the store.
All sound like fun. Diesel is for torque. haul a load up that hill,500 lbs pay load and see who is tops. LOL more science.
Dang; you are 100% right. Didn’t even think of that. Lol. The diesel would win for sure. These new high rpm gassers would do well in L, but you are right. With a load it would be a struggle.

Can-am and if I could afford the turbo Can-am side by side
That's a really nice machine. I'd take one in the crew cab with HVAC! Now just have to find the $40k! Lol. Thanks for watching
I got a polaris sportsman 570 I hate it
What do you hate about it?
RATHER have gas or diesel over the battery. To much that can go wrong with battery cart
Just a lot cheaper to own. But I like all of them; thats my problem. Lol
Too many ads.
Time of the season. We don’t get to pick that. I use TH-cam premium and there are no ads. So worth it!
I dislike the electric one
We all know witch one you’re rueing for .
I like all of em man.
I would not have a ev cart of any kind
10-4
