Drove one yesterday. In sport mode, low range, it will ALMOST lift the front tires. It is insane. I personally think that up to maybe 35-40mph, it's faster than the Pro-R RZR. It takes a lot to impress me, but the Kinetic is certainly impressive in my book.
80 miles is a long way off road no matter what your driving. The whole rubicon trail is only 23 miles long and takes people days to complete. I’ve spent days on switchback trails in Colorado and barely covered 30 miles. Very few people will ever break 40 miles on this.
I want the 4 door explorer ev with solar roof rack and folding or roll up solar blanket or x 2. When I am fishing I can charge it.,,or when sitting in my hide waiting to harvest meat .. it charge quietly.. as for hunting ideal silence..
Not a knock on Polaris at all, but what's the expected life of the battery and how much does it cost to replace it? I want to see 1 motor per wheel EV SxS. Please tell me the battery isn't lithium-based.
@@ChitFromChinola there are new battery technologies out there that don't rely on lithium or greatly reduce the amount of lithium needed and aren't as much of a fire hazard.
@@MassiveOverkill Yup, but not in commercial use yet. The fire hazard is overstated anyway -propaganda-and is far less risk than hyper-flammable gasoline. If I wait for some other battery technology, that means I have to keep using these crappy, dirty, loud, hot, doggy, unreliable, flammable gas engines. Time to go electric.
@@ChitFromChinola I'll go electric when it's consumer-driven and TRULY is green, and not government mandated...........you know, the King of propaganda and false narratives.
What they don’t tell you is that you can not leave the vehicle tether to the charger for extended periods of time like 2 weeks or not tether . You cannot let the battery drop below 30%. For most Polaris owners that store their vehicle in the winter (north east) this is not for you. I just had to cancel my delivery and switch back to gas. I am not happy. Charging does not work like a Tesla or Porsche.,
I live in South Africa hot and sunny.. scrub bush not forests. It would be ideal for me . Put solar panel on roof and folding solar panels that I can set up and leave charging while I am hunting from my hide or fishing.... And it's quite 😊 when I get back to camp.i want to fast charge from trailer that have batteries in it.. ideally
I can see an electric General, I think that'd be neat. Problem is hiding the batteries, I think that's gonna be the biggest challenge. Where to put them and maintain a good center of gravity and not be in the way of everything else. Hmm. General E. The southerners might like that name. I bet an E-RZR would be fun too.
Reason they are not rushing into making a UTV to my own thoughts is a utv has more use to people especially those with big land properties & homesteads.
I don't know if the range would be good enough for me. I'm using on a cattle ranch and just thinking the mile range is fine but Id suspect that once it starts to get loaded down it would deplete pretty quick. also am up in canada so Who knows what -40 does to it. I will say seeing the cows faces when I pop over a hill and they never even knew I was coming may be worth it LOL.
My problem with electric besides having no soul is their range is far less compared to a gas model. I also can carry an extra jug of gas which nets me over 200 miles of track tearing, mountainous hill lading, mud bath playing and varying terrain fields. Electric can use more juice when being lugged, like a steep hill with weight or through mud, then your range suffers even more. This is great however for smaller properties near subdivisions with intolerable neighbors and neighborhoods where noise volumes are a concern. Obviously better on the environment and nature's creatures by being less intrusive with noise and harmful fumes from combustion motors. I'm sure these will sell well when the range and quality goes up and the prices go down 🤙🏼♥️
I’ve had an Ranger EV over ten years. I is a no goat show boat. That’s a Beach Boy song. Polaris had trouble with them from the beginning. They sold a lot of them, and never addressed the issues. Basically they would not charge. It sounds like a great idea, the company failed.
Sorry... I've seen too many premature misc. problems with various Polaris products, akin to made in China, undoubtedly like some of the high wear parts like Chineses wheel bearings good for 10k. The (used to be USA made) Timken bearings were good for 100k. Up front looks awesome! How about 6 months down the rough roads? Ain't buying it.
Did you hear that fan.......gonna scare away any wildlife......maybe good for trail riding but definitely not for hunting. I waited 2 years, spent 35k on it and took it back.

What are they like in water eg crossing creeks and streams?
What's insane is the price.
How many Watts do you need to charge this unit with? For instance, will a 2000-watt generator work for being in remote areas? Like Hunting camp?
Hi Bro ! For when a review on the newest 2024 Vanderhall Brawley EV 4x4 ?? 😎
Exactly what I have been waiting for.
You were having Way Too Much Fun
How is it going to do in Southern Utah? High temps, lots of sand, lots of slickrock. Usually, people are there with 4WD, 4Lo, and 2H. Thoughts?
They are sweet but they need like 100-120 miles of range because a lot of people trial riding will do 80 miles or more in a day

Could you confirm if that is an Exro Coil Driver inverter in the XP Kinetic . Sounds like it with the power and range gains.
do they make this in a Northstar ac heat etc???
Let’s see how the axles hold up. The main maintenance costs I’ve seen are axles and t case.
Would enj9y trying it here in Nevada around Virginia City trails

It’s lithium-ion. (You wanted lead-acid?) Should last the life of the machine. From Zero motorcycles.

@@troothhertz6297 Interested in buying one? I also import these for people in South Africa?
I can’t wait to see the electric RZR that gets 100 mile range.
Segway has an electric sport UTV so Polaris needs to hurry up!!!
I think the new Segway is a "hybrid". Either way, if the quality of the Segway website is anything to go by, Polaris shouldn't need to hurry at all

Yes, the Arctic cold will be the real test and torture for it.
So you did reveal that the standard ranger most probably will require about $3500 in maintenance over 5 years.... thank you.

$24k is way out of my price range, when my New Nissan 4wd cost $28k

I'm confident polaris will not sell many units just because it's electric offroad enthusiasts don't want electric
Off-roaders will love it cause quite. Ninja . . .
Reasonable price point 38k lmao. Buy a jeep. No batteries to replace in 5 years for $?????
Yep, all fairy tales, You can watch the video, but you can't actually buy one. This is all hype. They're not for sale.
They are delivering now. My dealer just got and sold two. They must be ramping.
Anything Electric, No, Just No. Never. i don't care how fast it is.
When you move off grid.... your melody will be much different? Maybe.
