Idan Shahar i googled red tubescreamer and everything was sfw. But at the top, google said "Do you mean red tube screamer?" And clicking that changed my results IMMENSELY.
That was fascinating! One of your best. Josh at JHS must appreciate that you did exactly what was intended... you saw each mode as it's own clone. I really enjoyed this ride. Thank you!
It’s like every other blindfold challenge was made to lead up to this one. Been setting this one up for ages, building trust, and now you can NEVER DO IT AGAIN. Grand!
@@boggeshzahim3713 : Just to wrap up loose ends I love mine. Definitely hits a great range of Tube Screamer tones. I only had a TS808 re-issue to A/B it against directly but it is extremely close in tone. Not everyone likes Tube Screamers of course but if you're a fan this is a great pedal that offers a ton of subtle variation in the Tube Screamer range. My amateur rating : 9.3\10
T-shirt idea, Rob with a finger in the air as if signaling a waiter, chat bubble "More gain please", while i'm personally not a huge fan of high gain, id totally rock such a shirt.
Been watching these videos for years but I hadn't seen this one. Just watched this immediately after watching todays video with Josh Scott and I'm not sure I've laughed this much at a video in a good while! And such a perfect way to demo the pedal, love JHS stuff. You guys are great, thank you for the years of laughs and demos, hope to come to Andertons someday!
This takes me back around forty years when I was an AM at a music store. Every day around 4:00 p.m. all the young guys would show up and noodle - stop - noodle - stop - noode - stop. This would last until mom had dinner ready and off they would go. That's what I would hear every day from years (and ten times as much on Saturdays for eight hours straight). If I ever wanted to relive those days, I would loop this one video endlessly, turn the volume down a bit and then spend my time counting thousands of small random objects and writing down the quantities.
Also, Lee, my Bjorn Gelotte Custom arrived Damaged to Perth, Australia. Staff at Andertons were awesome in assisting with ze issue and reimbursed me for the cost of repair. Just thought you should know.
Oh my god... The nerves in my arms twitched when the LP dropped... You know that reflex-feeling we... well... most of us have (not so much the stoners).
Watching a Lee & Chappers video is almost like watching a sit-com. So entertaining! But is anybody going to trust anybody when you do more of these blindfolded videos? Great stuff, guys. Really enjoyed it!
I have two SG's from the early 2000's, a 61 reissue and Gordie Johnson signature (Google it, nice guitar), and they never go out of tune. I've had one sit for months and be in perfect tune when I pick it up. What's up with this Les Paul?
That is more useful as helping you decide which pedal to get, rather than as the pedal to actually buy. Or are there really people who need a different ts for each song/gig???
I really liked it when they used the Tube Screamer into the amp, pushing it a bit, and with the gain up but not maxed out. That's a winner, I reckon it'll catch on bigtime. Yep. Tube Screamer FTW
The fact that jhs can do stuff like this and actually make it profitable makes every other pedal company look bad. When they do multi pedals they take up half the board unless they are digital, and even then sometimes the digital ones are massive too. We need more of these. It would be cool if they made analog versions of the uafx pedals. Though the tape echo might make it a little pricy.
You guys should do a series, maybe with Rabea and Matt, where they review a new affordable piece of gear, (like a cheap modeling amp) and show the audience a few of the best tones they could get out of it, and also show the audience the process and how they achieved that tone!!!
I'm at Tubescreamer "simulation" two right now and stopped the video just to write: I cannot wait to see Rob's face at the end realizing it all has been a single pedal. I just hope that Lee doesn't screw up.
Now do a blind test of the JHS Bonsai vs all the actual pedals it is trying to sound like. Have both hooked up through a splitter, and let him switch back and forth as he wants, and see which he thinks is better. Just mix up the order of whether you plug the JHS or the Original into channel A or B.
It's about time, you got him good, love this, wish you would of put in a real tube screamer to see if he would guess it , great job on video , keep up the good work .
Haha, guys, that's freaky amazing :) EXAR OD-1 was my very first pedal effect, bought in early 2000's, where everything else was expensive as hell and there was no "cheap brands" available... BTW the pedal was as massive and "armored" as ProCo RAT. Unfortunately, later on company switched to very weak plastic and then disappeared (probably ceased to exist) due to competence of china-made effects. I'm just so crazy about the fact, that JHS put that sound in their pedal too! Cheers :)
The production Lee made of trying to convince Rob that there were actually 9 different pedals is distilled British comedy
Playing a half-hour joke on your friend on TH-cam......priceless.
Joke's on you. There are 9 different circuits in this pedal.
I like them all....! Especially the green one!
and other green one sounds pretty great!)
maron tesla and the green one after that other green one was pretty good sounding too!
Rob’s face at the end totally Epic 😅
Chappers, Mind blown!
Priceless
I just googled photos of "red tube screamer" to see if it's a real thing.
Biggest mistake of my like.
I'm at my job.
Ironically the images were all clean for me but the videos section definitely wasnt lol.
😂

ffs I shouldn't have done that
Idan Shahar 😂😂😂😂 legendary!

"Moregain Freeman"
Peter Boström or should he say "moregain Friedman"?
he is my cousin
shouldn´t someone actually copyright this as a pedal name? I would buy it, especially if it sounded like the last one they had
fo sho get on it
Yes... And on the 3rd pedal....
It’s like every other blindfold challenge was made to lead up to this one. Been setting this one up for ages, building trust, and now you can NEVER DO IT AGAIN. Grand!
Good timing, I've got a Bonsai getting delivered today. Can't wait to use it!
Why is that good timing? wouldn't you have wanted to see this before you ordered it?
@@boggeshzahim3713 : It would also be a good thing if the demo reassured dude he made the correct choice. :)
How'd you like it, Ross? I have one due Saturday.

They like $400 in Australia, think I'll give it a miss.

Not a fan of high gain... 🤔 do you like fuzz? Or a your a jazzer? Ambient shoegazer?
👞 🤩
Whelmed needs to find it’s way onto an Anderson’s shirt. Perhaps: Anderton’s, taking you from whelmed to overwhelmed since 1964
That was, without doubt, the best pedal demo I have ever seen. Great job as always gents!
I dunno... the Korg Miku demo they did was pretty damn good lol
@@rockerseven I will accept that. Miku rules.
I just started watching but I know for a fact Pete doing the DgenerationX crotch chop is gonna be the highlight no doubt
No joke, Pete doing the SUCK IT thing made me bring up the song and learn the riff
Can't deny it's a damn good theme

That was half an hour well spent. Robs reaction was priceless
Friedman should release a high gain amp called More Gain Friedman they are known for there great names 😂😂
Rob Easthope
The Smallbox is like a higher gain SD.
Simple: Morgan head. Friedman Cab - Morgan/Friedman. Unbeatable tone! (for scoring documentaries at least)
You still can't beat the Friedman Pink Taco 20 :)
Hopefully they can spell and punctuate better than you, Rob E! (And people complain about immigrants!)
tagline: "More gain freed, man."
30 seconds in and I know already it's a great video! Rob's reaction is at 30:20 by the way
The slow-mo head turn...watched that like 10 times laughing my ass off. Priceless.
"Oh, that's a classic...is that one made in America?" Awesome-the Captain should have been a politician! :)
This is an entertaining way to demonstrate all subtle differences... well done.
Great video guys!! you should never stop doing this!!
Thank you Nacho... And we won't :-)
That's just freaking awesome! Ya gotta love Rob's reaction at the reveal! You guys may have made me buy a Bonsai! How can you go wrong?!
You can't.... :-)
Nice one guys - the look on Rob's face was priceless... :-) I actually liked the TS-10 clone and the JHS mod too...
LOVED this blindfold challenge! Rob's face at the end was priceless.
I'm not proud of how long it took me to realise what was going on here
😂
Rob's reaction was so satisfying! haha. I love how hungry/tired/dispassionate he was and then you dropped the ball on him. Great content!
His reaction is priceless! One of your best videos I’ve seen!!
John Mayer just posted a picture on instagram stories saying everyone should have the this pedal
and with that they closed the book on rock and roll
He also thought it was a great idea to be a creepy stalker
Dave Whatever go ahead! People hate great guitar players all the time
@Dave Whatever lmao that's the most pointless comment I've read
Dave Whatever so you’ll not be playing any guitar then? Or do you mean stay a virgin? Lol

Amazing! Gotta Love Rob's face when Lee gave him the reveal !😱😎🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I took the easy way out and got the Mini Tubescreamer... love the mini
Well done to The Captain for his poker-face throughout! Give that man a BAFTA!
This pedal is almost always on for me. Either this or the Morning Glory!
Excellent video! Next up; compair the real versions of these pedals and see if Rob can get the same score.
The real ones always will sound different to this one

Picked one of these up... live in the same town as JHS. Only a handful of their pedals excite me, this is one of them. Great demo you mad lads!
Rob’s face... priceless. Absolutely priceless.
Great sense of humor, Chappers! That was cool.
Robs expression was freakin priceless. I think I need this pedal
The intro was freaking brilliant!

Good to know & sorry about that live stream - we just couldn't get the connection speed we needed.
LOL This is gold! Didn't expect that reaction from Rob.
3:25 "Just push the tip in." Incidentally, this video had the best reveal ever!!! You can only get away with it once, though. And it was fantabulous.
Searching on google for red tube screamer gives extremely different results from videos to shopping. Search carefully.
Joshua Isom AHAHAHAHAH
I'm weak!!!😂😂😂
Awesome Guy's :-) the look on Rob's face was Phenomenal when he found out what you had done. A.J
fabulous product by Josh and clever selling by Ian!
Loved Rob's reaction at the end LOL
I want to get this pedal now
Oh my god... The nerves in my arms twitched when the LP dropped...

Loved it. Rob’s reaction was the best! Now it’s the Captain’s turn.
Love these videos! Content and editing is legit!

I'm frothing over using one with the Two Notes Le Clean and Torpedo CAB for recording. Endless tonal-options!
That was good fun, good idea whoever came up with that one

OMG I just watched this and Pete is just awesome
Damn Lee!! That was the biggest laughed I had so far! LoL!! Love the vids Rob and Lee!
I think Rob is just blown away by the majesty of the Les Paul.
The JHS Bonsai is a “No Brainer” 9 different Tube Screamers for the price of one. The same goes for their Big Muff pedal ( Muffuletta )
His reaction at the end was entirely worth it.
The best segment of the channel without a doubt... more blindfolded for life hahahaha
That look on Robs face at the reveal.....priceless!
This is the best blindfold video yet. Fantastic!
That is more useful as helping you decide which pedal to get, rather than as the pedal to actually buy. Or are there really people who need a different ts for each song/gig???
It's nice to have options
U guys are a winning combo just like the pedal. Great save on Pete's Gibson, u are quick Rob!

LOL wow, I listened to this while working on a guitar, and didn't see the title so the reveal at the end was a surprise to me as well lol

That was the funniest intro. Loved that!
You should put a green sheet behind the board and do funny things with it! :)
They used green screen stuff a while ago. Check the Bill Kelliher ESP Signature review for examples.
Love your vids. Please note that the pedal you make BEFORE the penultimate pedal is called the antepenultimate pedal!!!!
