@@MakerBuildIt You should try to get your hands on some "Methyl acetate" its one of the ingredients in gloop for PLA. Methyl acetate alone will disolve PLA a bit like Acetone do with ABS.
glue squeeze out is good, it tells you that the entire mating surface is covered in adhesive. Gorilla glue works well with quite a bit of water on the parts, it requires moisture to cure properly. This was a good series of tests and you executed them well. Great Job!
try adding a fillet to the 3d prints (and maybe some ribbing/handles to increase grip/torsion, or maybe just a wider circle for any torsional snaps), and also maybe print them long ways so that the print don't break between layer lines (if you want it to be THAT study). Anyways appreciate the content really informational!
Very good content 👌. I would suggest one thing for your next glue test. Instead of printing a vertical round pipe, I would print an hexagonal (or octogonal) pipe flat on the print bed. For your tests, that would prevent having a split at a weak point (layer line) and could give you a better idea of the glue strenght... and would help you on the twist test 😁 Hope I've made myself clear enough (I'm french Canadian 😐) You've got a happy new subscriber!
I don't think anyone would question if you're strong enough.😄 I'd be interested in another test like this with a couple of new contenders added and some of the good ideas suggested in the comments.
Never seen your channel thanks for this. Just wish you would have also tried a hide glues well. A wood worker just starting to add some 3D printed items. If you try live to see your results

Jb Weld super weld UV cured....best I've ever used
I'll have to try it! I love JB Weld products. 😀
Been using Gorilla GEL super glue for 5 years, no problems.. Hope you can add that one for a PART TWO video!
I've never used the Gorilla Glue GEL super glue. I'll definitely it in the next group of test. 😀

Thank you! I appreciate your comment! 😀 I definitely dampened the part for the Gorilla Glue. Maybe I should have wet them a bit more. 🤔
Interesting video, but it seems like you're only testing PLA here. I'd like to see PETG and especially ABS as well.
Thank you! I did one on PETG th-cam.com/video/Y8XrdfqtMjY/w-d-xo.html ABS coming soon! 😀
Yes, safety goggle is a must in a video like this, because you will get 100's of comments like: WHERE'S YOUR SAFETY GLASSES - Great video!
Totally agree! Safety first! 👓

You’re welcome! We’ll defiantly try them! 😀
PS you used the same affiliate link for JB Weld and Loctite super glue
Thank you for catching that! 😀 I just updated it.
Didn't really answer anything LOL. I'm going with Star Bond CA thick
Did you sand the parts?
If the instruction required sanding they were sanded. 😀
Super glue seemed to be the best
It's like a cosplay workshop.
lol Some days it is! What should I make next?

It's pretty difficult to compare strength if the part is breaking before the glue 🤣not that I'd expect you to redo the whole video for it
🤣
I just use pvc pipe glue.
We're going to test this!
This is some serious sciencing going on.
Your design is flawed and fragile. Not good enough to get accurate results for which is best. The only conclusion is that some are extremely bad
