What I don’t like about this strap and most NATOs is all the added bulk on both sides of the strap. For me the MN style fabric style straps are the most comfortable and are not bulky. You can’t see the case back, but for me I like protecting my case backs designs from wearing away.
Good video. This concept is interesting, and it allows a NATO style look for smart watches which is pretty cool. Putting the strap on the wrist looks a little cumbersome, you would really need to be committed to this style to tolerate that I think. Still though, I might have to pick one up soon. Thanks for showing us this.

The holes are not reinforced though there is still 2 layers of material. This is only beneficial if a watch has non removable bars. A durable 2 piece nylon strap with reinforced holes would be much better. This is only a longer one piece strap that wraps around so this is not anything special.
Natos should come in different lengths. I have a 7 1/2 wrist and sometimes I can’t reach the second keeper. But if it’s too long making that loop tuck sucks.
Makes absolutely zero sense! Why would I take this over a two piece strap which looks way neater and elegant if this doesn't do the job of a pass through strap? The weird looks of a nato without any of the benefits...
@@jonathanlavery7279 I don't understand then why they don't just get a normal canvas strap? Surely if it's not practical, then, for the look, they should go canvas?
Yes it does thats why it isn’t called a nato. Most people don’t require the fail safe function and mostly wear it for the look so the zero pass offers the look without adding thickness.
@@Skyler.Santana this still makes no sense given how thick the rest of the strap is and the extra strap around the wrist. Surely you just just a two piece canvas strap and you get a much better look?
Having a NATO for me is mainly the security that is the watch is hit and a sprinbar is broken, the watch won’t fall. Having the double textile, the bulky end but not having that security to gain those mm in thickness: there are lots of textile straps out there with no double thickness in all strap neither the end tail loop
Yeah I don’t know if this solves any real problem. The purpose of a nato strap is for extra security. At this point just buy a canvas strap. Good review though!
Ummm, I just install a 2 pc. nylon strap with the Zulu look and I see the case back. No added bulky loops that don't provide the redundancy preventing watch loss.
The only difference I can imaging at that point would be at the lugs where your recent install would show spacing from the end of the strap to the case where the zeros pass wraps around the spring bar appearing to look more like a nato But I get your point and respect your opinion my friend. I get the concept but in actuality that thang is bulky. And you can do the same thing with a nato that is long enough or even a Zulu that’s long enough. I used to wear my natos in that same fashion but eventually got annoyed from the layers of the strap.
I don’t think it was designed to save the watch for a failure of the spring bar so I’m not sure it qualifies for pass or fail on watch saving. But I appreciate you sharing your opinion.
also unless you are using abhorrent spring bars you are not dealing with failure i do milsims (with the use of airsoft) and ive never had a bar fail on me and ive dived for cover and slammed my bodyweight + gear weight (my plate carrier is 24 pounds i use steel plates btw) and my spring bars never break.
@@Envixitycrunch I personally only has a bring bar fail on me once and that was because I didn’t secure a bracelet correctly when changing straps. But I have seen a few photos in the watch community of it happening to other watch enthusiasts so it depends on life style and personal experience.
Awesome video and great straps overall! Instant sub! I loved the style, man. I’ve been thinking about making a video specifically focused on straps, but I haven’t wrapped my mind around it yet.
I did the same for comfort for my Garmin watch. The default rubber strap was smelly and not very comfortable but a normal NATO covers the pulse meter. I would like to buy a commercial one. My homemade one is… visibly homemade… not in a good way. 😂
I use garmins Velcro straps on almost all my watches whenever the temp is above 25 celsius look in to them they are really something really nice and convenient
I was just going to say that. nato, marine nationale are made to keep your watch on the wrist if a spring bar breaks. This gives the looks but not the security. So I guess to each their own.
The amount of stress on the spring bars are just the same as on any 2 piece strap that has existed and been used on wrist watches for ages even before the existence of Nato straps. Why can't people understand that the purpose of this product is for aesthetics and comfort. To have the looks and vibe of a Nato Strap without having the added layer/layers of material between the watch and the wrist to make it look more flushed and comfortable to wear. Not everyone goes on combat missions or deep sea diving to worry about spring bar failures.
I think the same way at the moment. For some reason I am drawn to bracelets the most right now. Even this the wrist is constantly expanding this time around year. After that it all depends on the perticular watch to what u think is truly best.
Ohh nice 😊 good to hear. If you do decide to grab one post it up on WC and tag me on it 😉 I’m super nosey and I love seeing what people get and end up pairing it with 🤣🤓

Same...not a NATO or bracelet fan to be honest, but totally get the appeal. I prefer a lower profile setup.
MN are garbage for a large or heavy watch.
There is no comparison to a MN (type) strap. The most comfortable and so easy to take on/off and to adjust on the fly
comfortable because they are flimsy and a moronic clasp

I agree. This strap may eliminate excess material behind the Watch head, but it has more bulky material everywhere else.
But doesn't this void the whole point of a NATO
Yes it does !!! the whole point of a Nato is that you don't lose your watch if a spring bar fails.
