The problem with this is when you fold that small strap back and out of the way, it makes it extra bulky on the side you folded it to. The best approach is to cut off that hanging strap. It looks stupid anyways with a metal thing on the side. Cut it off and it’s clean and even and not bulky
This is my go-to for NATO and Zulu style straps. I do what you said at the end (but I don’t reverse the buckle side) and keep all the hardware on the bottom of my wrist.
Your videos are always interesting. I might buy a NATO strap. I bought a Marine Nationale extensible straps to avoid the double strap under the watch. Keep up your good work. I already subscribed to your channel and put like on your videos.
This way, I think you can actually use the buckle without the tongue and the flipped keeper as a Double-D ring... like motorsport and high end motorcycle helmets.
Could you measure the length of the strap please? I have one of these but there isn't much excess length after wearing and I don't know if it's cause I'm fat! lol Mine measures 260 mm from the end to end.

maybe I'll try it with one of my cheap straps thanks :)
Awesome, propblem solved....Thank you!
I do this with thicker watches all the time. It works very well.

Yeah keeping them at the bottom makes it more balanced 😁
@@NorthernWatchClub I’ll try it the traditional way first, but if I don’t like the watch/strap combination, I switch to hardware on the bottom!
@@WatchWitt yeah for my thick watches I often have no choice or else they become like 16mm thick lol

Thank you 🙏
I cut, moved, and customize the hell of it. Now is all good.
mindblown

ohh thanks I'll try that out !
This is so not the best way. Simply thread through the 3rd loop and put the watch on the remaining half which is single material. Even looks better. 😊

He has a smaller wrist. My wrist is 7.5" and also have no excess strap to tuck back.
