My favorite is the Barton Elite Silicone. They give you the two lengths and they are the most comfortable to wear. I wish I liked to wear a leather band more. They look nice.
I own multiple of the horween straps from bison straps and they’re really nice!! Obviously budget options but much softer than the other “genuine” leather straps on Amazon.
I have a good few Bison Horween straps also in different sizes and colours and they are the best budget straps you can buy imo. They also do odd sizes like 19mm and 21mm too which many brands don't. Just bought one today for my 21mm Speedtimer,
"Genuine leather" is usually an accurate descriptor but it's used frequently on the lowest grade of leather, chrome-tanned and made from split leather or composite leather. For really high quality leather you want full-grain or top-grain vege-tanned leather.
Thanks for the nice review, Ben! I'll check out Fullmosa next time I'm looking for a leather strap. BTW, I too have seen replacement straps with quick release shipped with removal tools, and I imagine it's to help remove the original strap if it doesn't have that feature. Which is somewhat considerate if you think about it.
Thanks; enjoyed that. Some of them actually weren't bad prices compared to their home store on Ali; others less so though. Eg the Fullmosa is a bit dearer on Ali atm whereas the Hemsut is about 10 quid cheaper on the Hemsut store. Other reliable stores for leather straps I've discovered on Ali are Zhong and Maikes if you fancy a look.
I bought from Annefit a nato strap and bison straps a leather. The nato from annefit was terrible and I returned it. The leather from bison made my watch look nice, it was blue leather but it stained my wrist. I recently tried archer straps and the quality was really nice
I’ve tried each of these. They’ve been fine, but some do wear more quickly than others. That said, finding inexpensive straps with a nice taper is rare. Most barely taper if at all.
The best leather straps I've had off of Amazon are Alpine international ones. Their vintage rally and normal vintage 2 piece straps are very good for less than £20
If you ever get the chance, you should take a stab at the Vincero Scout Titanium. Sells for the exact same price as their Icon, but the styling of the piece is very solid. I believe they are throwing an extra strap in as well, albeit shipped separately.
love the luff elastico (specifically the G2 version) style straps where they dont have the extra buckle, but finding them and not paying way over the odds for them on price plus postage was a nightmare (£40 to UK) so have managed to get them from a supplier and going to start selling them on Amazon in a couple weeks for about £20, maybe less dependent on amazon fees
I agree with the comment below the Barton Elite Silicone are fabulous but they seem to be having distribution issues in europe at the moment as most sizes on Amazon are not available, and then they come from the factory in the US and you get stung with duty. I currently have one on my Oris Big Crown Pro Pilot and it has transformed the watch and wearability. For me the best ever after market leather straps are from Hirsch but they are very expensive and not on Amazon.
I've got a few Annefit natos, and a few Bisonstrap leather watch straps, can't really complain about any of them!! The only slight 'irk' I got from Bisonstrap, was I'm sure I read on the Amazon listing they were made in Italy, but when they arrived the packaging very clearly said, 'Made in China.' Oh and the 'tan' variant leather strap I got from Bisonstrap, whatever the coating was, faded away pretty quickly (after a few weeks), and became a nicer dark brown, than the dark brown variant strap, however still a very good strap for the money, just won't stay 'tan'. Additionally, at 4:18, I love the, "F**K OFF?! Focus!! You piece of sh*t!!?" Definitely leave these in, from now on!!
I used to buy Fullmosa leather straps for my iwatch and I’d have to replace them once a year on average, as the “leather” strap loops/retainer would fall off relatively quickly.
About the berfine strap: the stitching near the lugs, I have seen it on so many aliexpress straps, have a very visible drop of glue on them, and I‘m so ocd about it. Other people probably don’t notice it, but me looking down at my watch it’s just so visible.
Bisonstrap has a good reputarion? I never knew. I bought one and it sucks. It is badly dyed and the band material is low quality. I have better experience with Wocci. The one I bought is rubber and it is ok, but it is still vastly inferior when compared to San Martin's FKM rubber.
"Genuine" is the lowest grade of leather, followed by "Top Grain" and then "Full Grain". Not only is "Genuine" the lowest grade, it may not even be 100% leather (unlike the others).
probably AI or just random unique sounding name generators. they don't care about the brand since it's all coming from the same place and will be sold under 500 different "brands"
I bought a Berfine before I really got really into watches. Having subsequently bought proper straps I can say the Berfine strap is pretty poor. Bad quality leather, too thick, too stiff and cracks start to show almos immediately.
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. AMZWATCH watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
Ben you should make a separate video on watchstraps on your main channel, I'd say :)
I've got that exact Fullmosa strap on a SARB033 - it has worn pretty well and certainly isn't falling apart. Decent.
My favorite is the Barton Elite Silicone. They give you the two lengths and they are the most comfortable to wear. I wish I liked to wear a leather band more. They look nice.

Agreed. Nothing crazy, but I have an Orient dress watch on a brown one and my Seiko SNXS79 on a black one and they've both been great.
"Genuine leather" is usually an accurate descriptor but it's used frequently on the lowest grade of leather, chrome-tanned and made from split leather or composite leather. For really high quality leather you want full-grain or top-grain vege-tanned leather.
I buy mine from Aliexpress, it's a hit and miss, but they are a fraction of the price.; you just have to be a little patient.
Thanks for the nice review, Ben! I'll check out Fullmosa next time I'm looking for a leather strap. Please, come back with a long-term durability review of each of these.
Ottoody quick release top grain leather straps are a decent enough quality. Archer Watch Straps are decent too, especially their Nato straps.
One of the most comfortable and resilient straps I've ever owned was a silicone one purchased from Walmart for about ten dollars
Really glad you've made this Ben! I've been looking for a good reliable company to buy watch straps from that won't yank my arm off here in the UK

I recently tried archer straps and the quality was really nice
Durability is key, they all seem OK straight out the box
Eache and Buckle & Stitch are two brands I've had good experiences with.
I'm a big fan of Bisonstrap rubber straps. The FKM one I use on my Citizen Promaster has an awesome texture and feel to it.
I have a couple of the berfine ones from a year ago. They're nice. I have he green and the red, the buckles on them were sturdy and not flimsy too
I’ve tried each of these. They’ve been fine, but some do wear more quickly than others. That said, finding inexpensive straps with a nice taper is rare. Most barely taper if at all.
I have a seatbelt nato Hemsut, great material, great hardware, very comfortable
The best leather straps I've had off of Amazon are Alpine international ones. Their vintage rally and normal vintage 2 piece straps are very good for less than £20
I've had some too -- good quality.
I have an Alpine vintage rally strap , it looks and wear great , i also have several of their silicone straps which are nice to wear .
Hopefully you'll make a product review for boderry voyager
Do from aliexpress next

I've bought Archer watch straps and they are pretty decent I've bought 3 so far

Dude I've had all of those. I had to swap the Hemsut spring bars didn't feel secure at all, it patinas really nice though 👍🏼
I used to buy Fullmosa leather straps for my iwatch and I’d have to replace them once a year on average, as the “leather” strap loops/retainer would fall off relatively quickly.
As long as they are not too short, I'm sure they are ok. Some Chinese straps sold on Amazon are way too short for my 18mm+ wrist.
Be great if you would show the straps on a watch.
About the berfine strap: the stitching near the lugs, I have seen it on so many aliexpress straps, have a very visible drop of glue on them, and I‘m so ocd about it. Other people probably don’t notice it, but me looking down at my watch it’s just so visible.
what issue did you have with Barton spring bars?
Hey Ben, what watch are you wearing in this video? Cheers! 🤞
i recommend you to try the nick mankey hook strap

Yeah, I’ve had a couple of bison straps and they were both pretty crappy. Don’t recommend TBH
Those are all straps that wouldn’t survive a Summer. Those are winter straps. Cheap leather never survives sweat.
I've got a DENIM strap from Hemsut that I actually ended up quite liking, haven't seen much like it out there.
You're talking about "leather" but haven't mentioned the smell once.🤦🏽♂️
Best Ali express straps video soon?
Metal parts are mostly imported from China. That makes me think that most bargains are also to be found on Chinese market like Ali
All of these are on Ali for a fraction of the price, it’s only worth getting if you need them quicker
Nice to see Andy Murray is keeping busy
why do they bother stamping "GENUINE LEATHER" on these things LOL
"Genuine" is the lowest grade of leather, followed by "Top Grain" and then "Full Grain". Not only is "Genuine" the lowest grade, it may not even be 100% leather (unlike the others).
These names rival some AliExpress watch brand names. I always wonder how they arrive at these weird ass names.
probably AI or just random unique sounding name generators. they don't care about the brand since it's all coming from the same place and will be sold under 500 different "brands"
Wasn't expecting this video to go PG-13, Ben.
I do a smell test to see if it even smells like leather.
I bought a Berfine before I really got really into watches. Having subsequently bought proper straps I can say the Berfine strap is pretty poor. Bad quality leather, too thick, too stiff and cracks start to show almos immediately.
What is a quid? Asking for a friend 😊
A British Pound
Is the Fullmosa from Taiwan?? 🤣😂
…is it cork??? 😂
fullmosa is crap.
Barton straps are trash. They are poorly made, uncomfortable to wear and look ugly.
BEN!!!!!!!! PLEASE MAKE ONE FOR WATCH BRACELETS! IM BEGGING YOU. I need your guidance. Please and thank you 🥲
2:32 it means that is made with reconstructed leather made from scraps, what is the controversy? the same leather that is used by most watchstraps btw

Did you mean to keep this in?
