Shocked. Honored. Humbled. Thank you so much for allowing my little brand to be a part of this awesome concept. I can't express how much exposure like this helps us little guys. Pushing content like this is great for the industry as a whole, and I'm really really grateful to be a part of this community. Thank you and I can't wait to see who gets to be in the second edition!! All my best from Texas. Nathan Trafford
congratulations, well deserved. Such a beautiful, unique watch - thank you Teddy and Kevin for showing me this!
Congrats! Keep up the good work, greetings from the Netherlands
See above @traffordwatchco3603. Y’all nailed it. Cannot wait to see this watch in person. ✌🏻&❤
Great piece; $500? Really? I might pick up a piece myself, and I haven't worn a wrist watch in decades....
I pre-ordered a texas peach before even completing the video so I had not realized you had won until the end. Congratulations!
It has to be Trafford. But, then, I'm his dad so, what can I say!
😁👏
Long time Austin resident but had not heard of Trafford Watch Co before. Awesome back story and beautiful watches. Love Texas peaches so just ordered a Texas Peach Crossroads.
Hahahahaha this is awesome!
Already asked my wife to get me a trafford for Father’s Day!
I think I was among one of their first customers- good job Dad!
That's amazing, love seeing the support. Howdy from Dallas!
100% do more microbrand segments with Kevin. It's great to hear opinions from you guys on brands that get less attention, but that a lot of us are really interested in
Oh! I recommend Weiss watches, momentum, and canister watches
"There are no losers" - Kevin. Every watch that I saw in this video were amazing and all brands did fantastic. Hats off 👏
And their promo videos were so good! Crazy.
It's a great honor to join this pitch. Thank you for inviting us Teddy and Kevin!
Man you guys make some amazing watches, should have sent in the Royal smith 90-006 instead.
kuoe nice waches mahn.... wish i could get a couple of them in mumbai... hopefully in the future u start selling here as welll
Really love your work!
Just got one last week and it's great!
You were my #1
Thanks Teddy and Kevin for including us in this video! As the Diver One is our first release, being included among such amazing brands is an incredible honor!
It is beautifully executed. Congrats!
Beautiful watch. I’m going to have to pick one of these up.
Love your watch! Amazing stuff!
Beautiful piece! Keep up the great work!
The fade with that BLUE and the sandwich dial where you outlined the the piercing is genius - You can see under macro where the cut-out isn't as clean as we'd like but that's under macro and likely can't be noticed with the naked eye. I'm a dive watch junkie so I love it - Good job!
That Baltic “Paul Newman Daytona” was my favourite.
Just got mine a few days after this video released. the quality is amazing!
For me it’s the Wren for the dial but the Paul Newman homage is 2nd place for me. I’ve never seen a Newman-esq watch with a flat link, almost-integrated bracelet. Very cool indeed.
Same
Love this video format! Please do this again! I was not at all aware of these brands and am now obsessed with several of them. Way to spotlight micro brands!!!!
Thanks for including us Teddy! An honor being called a "true watchmaker"!
You have nice stuff!!
Love Oak & Oscar, H-GMT is on my list….true to my Chicago roots.
First time hearing about Oak and Oscar, but I was impressed.
Nice watches 👍
Man I've always loved your stuff. Big fan. My in-laws live in Chicago and I need to swing by and come say hi the next time I'm in town!
That baseball watch is beautiful
Great to see so many incredible Microbrands featured! Congratulations to the winner 🙌🏼
Cheers,
Richard
Hoping you can increase production to help fill the needs of us consumers!
You make some great stuff and a 60 sec presentation that rival them!!
underd0g 4ever!!!🍉
love that watermelon
I was impressed by Oak and Oscar but, in the end, I would choose Studio Underd0g and Baltic (It wasn’t fair having you guys there, since you’re not that micro anymore).
The prototype was in my top 3 for sure. Maybe even #1. Very clean and unique. A cross between casual and classy with a dash of ingenuity.
My favourite kind of videos from Teddy, where he introduces new, mostly unknown brands. I knew about Baltic and Monta, but the rest have been a new discovery. Always a treat.
SOOooooo proud of my son Nathan, he's always had a great eye for design and colour. This is sooo well deserved as the watch is so totally different to anything else out there !! Choose a watch to go with your outfit ; love it !! Thank you for making this Mum squeal with delight this morning !!
He deserved it!
Just bought one!
You should be proud. You’re probably a great parent and played a major part in his success
Hello Mom :) Cool to see you here ... PS! I am the Indian Natan :) Godspeed
@@CartierCrashright on all accounts
Thank you, Teddy and Kevin, for featuring Isotope Watches in this fantastic video! Congratulations on the amazing idea and to all the other brands showcased. While there is a winner, everyone benefits from the priceless exposure, essential for all independent brands.
All the best, José
You guys have amazing watches! That prototype is phenomenal and I hope it goes to market!
@@johanvandersandt8904 Thank you! The Moonshot in this video is the old version. The new one has an improved bezel, sub-dials, and crown. The Terra Maris will release by year-end, and the darker Moonshot Revolution Stealth is out end of June or early July. It's a full CNC Titanium Grade 5 watch, 41mm, Swiss Landeron 73, under $3000. No pre-orders yet-Please subscribe to our newsletter for updates. There’s nothing like the Moonshot!
Hey, sorry if this sounds odd, but... your accent! Are you Portuguese too?
Wow-Trafford was the only brand I looked up during the video. We need more rectangular or cushion-shaped watches! Thanks Kevin and Teddy!!
Loved the prototype.
If it makes it into production I am a customer for it.
Out there, stunningly different from anything else, and still very readable and functional as a watch.
10/10 for me.
I would love to see more videos like this. It's so hard top find high quality micro brands. This really gives a great look at high quality lesser known brands.
I'm going with WREN for my#1 ... I'm in love with the dial.
Love when you guys get together to highlight micro brands … please do more of this !
follow up video: store employees pick their faves from these
100% agree
That’s a great idea.
Yep. Nailed it. Next video. This isn’t a one and done for these watches and brands.
yezzir! teddy and his team!
Definitely
I don't know if Teddy has a video "ideas person" but whoever came up with this idea is worthy of that job. In a world of repetitive watch videos this was a real breath of fresh air. The watches were well worth a look too. Top notch content!!
this is maybe my favorite Teddy video he’s ever done
@@AnthonySkatz 👍👍
Agreed! Such a great concept!
Came here to say this!!
Fantastic video! Love seeing all these not so well known brands. Baltic mr01 was my favorite with Traford the runner up. Keep it coming Teddy.
Great video….honestly, they are all winners. A big thank you to Teddy for introducing me to these excellent made micro brands. They each have a different unique look and taste for anyone who is a watch enthusiast. I’m still not sure which one I would pick. Great job to all of the brands.
Just bought a Trafford as a result of this video. I never knew they existed. As a Texas native, it was a no-brainer.
Same. Gotta get that Texas peach and a bottle of still Austin together
They're going to sell out now :)
Thanks so much guys! Texas for the win, though you can’t go wrong with any of these brands!
See Dufrane watches, also in Texas
@@nicholassosin6965Definitely!
Studio underdog is class!!
Love your channel! Cool to know you like watches too
I like the Wren
Yoooo
Wait for my goofy panda to come in, I can’t wait!
@lDaVeed Mint Chocolate Chip for me! I have to wait until October though 😩
This is awesome! Please do more of these showcasing microbrands!
My favorites are Baltic and Kuoe, I will definitely own a watch from each of them in the future. I had never heard of most of the others, and they all seem like wonderful brands.
By far my favorite segment I have seen on your channel. I would LOVE for this to be a regularly occurring video series!
Teddy, genuinely, this is one of the very best concepts I have seen in the watch community. Thank you. Recently, I've felt a little jaded by the watch TH-cam community, not enough innovation makes it a little boring. This was a real treat. Well done 👏
The isotope chronograph is unbelievably cool
Thank you, the latest prototypes are done and they will be released soon. It's a concept in development for over three years, we can't just leave it in the drawer. In the future, we'll make a red version for Kevin :)
100% the most unique piece here
@@jeffarcher8791 Thank you :)
@@isotopewatchesSaved your website and looking forward the prototype watch to be released. Nice work!
@@isotopewatches yeah i think you won this , that purple one is world beating
Great video! Would love to see this become an annual competition. All the watches displayed were awesome! I’ve seen some advertised to me on social media and have been curious. Fantastic job to all brands!
This is such an AMAZING concept to do for video & glad these brands get some attention. I’m smiling while watching this video
Guys, This was THE BEST EPISODE you’ve made in a long time Teddy. Keep this type of small brand content coming!!!!
Agreed
Yeah this is such a good format. Helping little guys, we watch people on a budget get to salivate over things we have a chance of getting, and their banter was better when it’s not just a competition between Teddy and Kevin.
The staff at the end "..Not even close *shakes head*" lol
I tend to agree
Staff's Picks Please
Wouldn't have been my pick either. My pick would have been Isotope prototype.
Same I thought the prototype. If you want a conversation starter there it is.
Great idea Kevin. Love the pieces featured and I look forward to follow-up shows. I have always loved Oak an Oscar and Studio Underdog so it was cool to see them showcased. Along with some of the brands suggested by others for future shows, I would like to suggest Feynman, Visitor, and Behrens. Keep up the great work 🤝.
Great video. Trafford is sold out and so is Studio Underdog. You guys did a fantastic job. I ordered the watch that Kevin picked because I like really red and also because the shape reminds me of several watches from the 60s and 70s. I plan on watching more of these videos in the future.
i think this video achieved its goal of giving quality microbrands the possibility of exposure to those unfamiliar with their brand. Never heard of wren and trafford before, now I know
love that mentality. It's huge for us.
KUOE brand popped up in my instagram feed some time ago and I must say - some of their watches are impressive.
Same. When I first saw them on IG, I thought it was another cheap quartz "mall watch", but then I started to look into them. Really great stuff
Just bought one 2 days ago in Kyoto (Holidays). The shop was packed and the hype was unbelievable. I'm glad I managed to get one.
Constantly seeing KUOE on Instagram
Really loved this segment and ALL of the Watches/Watchmakers. Yes, please do more of these as it’s great to give the small businesses a boost.
That all said, for me I absolutely LOVED the look of the Watermelon Watch from Studio Underdog. It was beautifully colorful and appeared to be well designed. The luminosity of the Dive Watch was also amazing.
But again, well done all!! Supercool Stuff and can’t wait to see more!!
Cheers all
Love the the way you did this today gentlemen / please continue this new series / love seeing the small watch brands ... Baltic is still one of my favorites and Isotope was not a favorite of mine but that prototype was amazing / Monta is solid as well
I wish I could give this 1000 likes. I absolutely love that Teddy is doing this, so healthy for the watch community imo
The Isotope Moonshot prototype was my favorite! So unique. Please roll it out.
Thank you, the latest prototypes are done and they will be released soon. It's a concept in development for over three years, we can't just leave it in the drawer. In the future, we'll make a red version for Kevin :)
@@isotopewatches awesome looking watch guys. Very unique and cool design.
@@isotopewatches The prototype was my favorite! Curious to see how much you'll sell them for!
@@DaddyFatherDad Thank you! It will be under 3k. More details coming soon :)
Agreed definitely thought it was stunning as well. Love being outside the box and this one is in so many ways.
Please do more of this guys! Love to see the micro brands! Great episode!!
Absolutely love the grain texture on the Kuoe. Very nice price range, simple and refined detail. The only issue is I can't decide between a brown or ivory dial. Lovely.
Originality= Studio Underd0g all day
Classy = kuoe Royal Smith
Innovation = Isotope prototype
Top homage = Baltic Chronograph
💯 agree
My own opinion too..I do agree 100% with you!
Baltic, Studio Underdog and Kuoe would be my top 3 picks
Yes!
Kuoe and Baltic for me! I really like the blue Trafford too.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Superb video, cracking idea to showcase upcoming micro brands, Studio Underd0g and Baltic for me though.
100% more of these kinds of videos please. I’d heard of a couple of these brands but not all, and I’ve been researching (and maybe buying…) for a couple of hours now.
Please do this as a regular slot. There's so many great microbrands out there - Farer, Duckworth Prestex, DuFrane, Marinor, Prometheus/Borealis, Tuseno, Maen, Circular, Seals and Traska, just to name a few. Smaller watch brands aren't just cheap AliExpress crap anymore.
Farer makes some of the best watches I've ever seen. I wish more people knew about them.
MOONSHOT - ISOTOPE - incredible prototype. Elegant and mysterious at the same time. There is a sort Fritz Lang's Metropolis vibe on it.
I loved pretty much all the 8 brands. Very high level. The watermelon is certainly a big hit. And the Oak&Oscar is pure elegance. Outstanding.
Thank you, the latest prototypes are done and they will be released soon. It's a concept in development for over three years, we can't just leave it in the drawer. Metropolis is a good reference, but you should look for The Incal :) All the best!
That was my favourite out the lot!! Can’t wait for it to be released. What’s the price point looking at? Will it be available for preorder?
@@gfxfletch4218 Thank you! It will be released soon, for under $3000.
I would love to see more of these videos shining the spotlight on these smaller brands. The uniqueness of each watch out weighs the larger brands swallowing up the market. Quality mixed with uniqueness is what every true enthusiast wants. Trafford is my pick.
Love this. Please make more videos like this, and to see new brands was refreshing!
I would pick the Oak &Oscar as the winner, by the way, I agree with Kevin, that was a great idea for a video.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Its hard to pick one, but the Isotope Moonshot stood out for me. I like the ingenuity.
That elliptical case has an orbit shape
same here.
Isotope was a clear winner for me too. The prototype was something we haven’t seen before
Thank you, the latest prototypes are done and they will be released soon. It's a concept in development for over three years, we can't just leave it in the drawer. In the future, we'll make a red version for Kevin :)
@@isotopewatches I'm curious was the elliptical case shape a nod toward an orbit shape or is that just my imagination.
This was a fantastic segment! I've become a massive fan of the microband concept and thoroughly enjoy being introduced to something different. I attended a recent event in London for British watchmakers and very much rue not purchasing a studio underd0g on the day. Great watches and loved both the Trafford and the SD.
kevin chose the only watch with a full red dial how surprising indeed
it's covered in the blood of all the people he ran over in his boat.
same thoughts lol
OMG, I loved that presentation. Tafford caught my eye but that was the red. I didn’t expect it to beat the Wren. But Baltic captured my heart a long time ago. Please do this show again in a couple of months. It’s nice to see watches that don’t mimic the Seiko like dive watches everyone produces.
Wow..... Best video yet.. shining new light on these startup companies. I will definitely look into each brand. Great job Teddy you are breaking new grounds in the watch industry. Keep up the great work.
One of the best videos I watched in recent times. Didn't skip a single second. Great concept for giving much deserved exposure to these micro brands who are punching way above their weight.
Each brand impressed me with their offerings. To be honest, these are the people (micro brands) who are making watch world appealing, unique to me lately. Best part, these quality watches are "attainable".
The Wren watch reminds me of the Oris Sixty-Five. They're quite similar. Anyway great show guys! Cheers from Switzerland.
*looks at any watch*
Kevin: "I'm getting vintage Rolex vibes"
no valuable insight whatsoever lmao
Whattaschmuck this guy Kevin is
I mean, the Monta offerings are just dead ringers for the submariner and the OP. What else is he supposed to say in that example?
@@LouStewel-rd7po total clown 🤡 I have no idea why teddy wastes our time like this
Yeah but look, Baltic is fab. And monta too... But look at their watches and tell me they ain't look alike
Yes I'd like to see more like this. A fun video. I enjoy browsing the micro brands.
I didn't just skim the video, I watched every minute. Thanks.
Loved the video, loved the watches, and would love to see more micro-brand showdowns… I personally LOVED both the prototype from Isotope and the red dial from Trafford. Amazing selections Teddy and loved the video
Studio Underdog is 1st, the Isotope prototype is 2nd, and 3rd is Trafford. The two winning brands for me are now subscribed newsletter brands. They excite me.
Thank you, the latest prototypes are done and they will be released soon. It's a concept in development for over three years, we can't just leave it in the drawer. In the future, we'll make a red version for Kevin :)
This should definitely be a regular segment! Two microbrands that I’d love to see featured because I’ve been impressed with the quality and value are
Second Hour Watches (Australia) and also Traska Watches (United States)
Thanks to this video I just got in on batch 2 for the Trafford Crossroads Eternal Sky pre-order. Cant wait. What a gorgeous watch and my first entry into a quality watch collection!
Loved this. Please do more like this. These smaller brands are pouring their hearts and souls into their products and seeing them get the attention they deserve is just awesome. 👏 👏 👏
Please make the Moonshot!! That is amazing!
Thank you, the latest prototypes are done and they will be released soon. It's a concept in development for over three years, we can't just leave it in the drawer. In the future, we'll make a red version for Kevin :)
Love this format! Love how you’re giving a spotlight to micro/independent brands - including some less well known ones. Kudos to you, your team and all the people behind these brands!
Excellent concept and theme. Plz make this a quarterly show. Traford stood out for me as well. Beautyful watches. Extremely well priced.
I loved this video and hope to see more like it. My heart goes to Baltic. Im a huge collector of Baltic. I would like to see someone do a good video overview of the full Baltic collection and brand. They have such a diverse collection that most micro-brand watch brands can't compete with as a whole. I have to admit their marketing videos are pretty awesome as well. They really help tell a story and make you want to be part of the adventure. Beautiful, well-made watches and beautiful stories!
Concur that it’s hard to say anyone lost. I do like the Trafford as I’m looking to add a red dial to my collection. No question what you already own or want to add is probably a bigger factor, as they’re all excellent quality for the money. I have also considered the Studio Underdog, but they’re hard to get.
I have to admit, the traford one immediately stood out as something so unique i knew from the start it was gonna be this one.
Trafford was my number 1 out of these 8. The dial is really next level with the white and red pairing. The typography is also much cleaner than many other watch brands that I see (looking at you Kuoe). Finally the hands are interesting while retaining the clean aesthetics. The 2 things I’d change: 1. I wish the casing was more glossy to give it a more premium/clean look. And 2. I wish the straps were a different material and maybe matched/extended the white or red in the dial. If they changed these 2 things, it’d be an easy buy for me.
Well done Teddy and team. Thoroughly enjoyable and interesting content shining the light on watch producers of the future. Congratulations on the store and every success in the future.
27:06 “the MR01?” “The marijuana is beautiful” 😂😂
I was waiting to see if someone else picked up on that...
That Trafford Texas Peach blew me away, and I pre-ordered one before I even finished the video!! Another great video Teddy and Kevin. Always speaking loudly for the smaller, homegrown companies. Love to see it.
That's amazing, thank you!!
@@traffordwatchco3603amazing watch I just ordered the Texas peach and eternal sky beautiful pieces excited to get em
One of the best episodes/segments of this channel... would be crazy not to do it again... Should do at least 3 or 4 episodes a season if possible... introduced us to brands that made these beautiful timepieces which we never heard of... Kudos
This is so awesome!! Love to see all the engagement from the owners on here too. Really great guys! Awesome watches all around 🤘
I love that all the brands are here in the comments. Also, that wren dial is akin/adjacent to or actually just a gradient shade of aquamarine in my view and it was also my favorite watch aesthetically
I like the Trafford, minimalist & luxury at the same time with an Omega vibe as well. Price point seems very fair and the choices really make for some multiple unit purchases.
I found it just strange they didn't include the red dial on the red strap knowing Kevins taste. :D
But at that price-point certainly a great watch.
Pretty unbelievable value in my opinion.
100% need to do more of these micro brand showcases.
I liked the Kuoe, Baltic, and Trafford.
I’d suggest Henry Archer for a future episode
I loved this video, hopefully these brands get a lot of exposure and keep growing! I can’t wait to see the next edition of this series, would love to see Yema, Serica, Farer, Vaer, Nodus, and many more.
Really enjoyed this! I think an annual review of indies/microbrands like this would be great!! I own Monta, Oak & Oscar, and have a Studio piece coming this fall. Now there's more to consider. Thank you Kevin and Teddy!
Best video yet!! Well structured and unique concept. Great to get brands noticed. Excellent discussion between the both of you about each brand. DO MORE LIKE THIS!! I'd have to pick Trafford as well. Great dimensions, which is hard to do in the case shape, but I especially like how they look with both the bracelet and strap. Seriously considering pre-ordering their second batch.
Amazing video and concept. More of these please. I knew all the brands except Wren which I love! I own a few of these brands too.
Have been thinking about the peach colour crossroads from Trafford for some time now….think I’ll have to dive in! It was my first choice. Well Done all the brands. Not a dud watch here.
This gotta be one of your best videos from this amazing channel. Looking forward to the 2nd contest!
My final pick: Studio Underd0g.
Also, Teddy you don't need to justify the movement is good any time you speak about Chinese or Japanese movements. Just because the movement was made outside of Switzerland doesn't mean its a bad movement.
Metallurgy is a thing. Basically a roll of the the dice with any Chinese movement
The moment I saw Trafford, I was like wow. Now that I know Kevin picked it too .... not sure how to feel about it. Just kidding ... love the fact that Kevin picked the brand I liked the most.
I love the Trafford. As soon as I saw it, I ran over to their website. I also love the Baltic as my #2. But the Trafford is a standout. Honorable mention to O & O's baseball bezel.
Cool episode and concept. It would be nice to see another episode like this one day.
Also fair play to Trafford Watches on the win. I think it's so cute how his parents are in the comments congratulating their son!
Please do more of these. Really love seeing you two together. I love this video.
The Isotope Hydrium was my first microbrand watch, and it's a fantastic piece. Really comfortable, and a genuine strap monster (I went for a black dial). Plus Jose is a great guy!
Thank you, Neil. You made my day!
I've seen your videos for years. This is my favorite. Just amazing!
As a Swiss watchmaking (hand beveling) guy working for a Luxury brand i love this kind of suport for all Microbrands..huge quality presented by the way !!...The Isotop prototype just catch my eye ❤ it 😊
Thank you, Nuno. The latest prototypes are even better and they will be released soon. It's a concept in development for over three years, we can't just leave it in the drawer. Please stay in the loop!
With all these smaller brands and the uniqueness they provide, it’s always really going to come down to the dial and how it catches the eye of a persons preference.
I have to agree with Kevin. Trafford is simply phenomenal. They've got the vintage vibes but with the fun of creative dial combos. Just great looking warches.
Well done for giving these newer brands such a huge shout out. Well done, Teddy.
Great video!!!!!! All of the reviewed watches were fantastic. Please do this again. Would love to see what Mr. Wonderful think of Wise watches and watches from the Camden watch company.
Great video Teddy as always! Obviously I am partial to Wren 🐦⬛ but as a watch fanatic also love what Studio Underd0g and Monta are doing (along with all the great brands featured)!
Main thing that brings me to wanting a Trafford is that not many brands opt for a Square style watch. Along with so many different dial options and the Miyota 9039 movement, and adding a little bit of color pop in the case back, it makes it a great a sub $750 conversation piece with many things to talk about.
Thanks for the kind words!
LOVE this episode, such a great way to bring attention and exposure to some really great smaller brands. Would love to see more
Wonderful seeing then spotlight on these micro brands. I loved all the watches, but that prototype from Isotope was so interesting and cool looking.
I love Kuoe. They really picked the wrong piece for that video but if I had to pick one it would be the Baltic small seconds. Just a beautiful watch. I love the dial and mini rotor.
Thank you Teddy for making that Video. It‘s very nice to see these Brands in a properly made Video.
