Please only send campaigns on the verge of defeat or battles you can't win. Auto resolve wins won't be accepted. Modded campaigns are not currently accepted. Please only send campaigns/battles on large or ultra unit scale. Normal and small unit scasle will not be accepted. Not currently accepting Realm of Chaos campaigns/battles.

Did 17,000 damage and killed 1 dwarf. Sounds legit.
Thorek is such a tough nut to crack. I'm currently playing a Kairos campaign and he is such a terror to deal with as Tzeentch. I learned the hard way to just distract him by sacrificing chaff units and hope for army losses (which is also hard since dwarves are virtually unbreakable)!

Man, to think that vanilla elves with no DLC whatsoever have no armor-piercing archers still boggles the mind. Like, imagine you don't have Sisters of Avelorn. If you want ranged in late-game, those archers are what you get. Which is why Legend's petition made even more sense at second glance than it did at first glance.

@@SiodogRehane Shadow Walkers are unique to Alith Anar. Shadow Warriors are DLC. Neither are armor piercing. There are mods to fix them because Alith Anar's are too weak. 20 less models for poison and minor stats increases.

He could send the loremaster in melee to fight those giant slayers and the runesmith, I guess he became very conservative after he lost that stack of lm at the WF Palace in WH2 :D
So if my rat-ling guns even slightly overlap they won't shoot, but the AI can blob every single quarreller and still fire 7:20

Pretty sure it works due to the fact they shoot in an arc.

Oxyotl can get 95 missile restance and some decent ward save plus melee defence with the banner that does damage 9ver time makes him a decent dlone doom stack
Strange, the normal difficulty AI usually just rushes me or waits until I come to them. But I never see such shennanigans from them.
They seem smarter in WH3 on normal tbh
I really hope you will someday try out medieval 1212 AD, ancient empires or fall of the eagle + europa perdita mods for attila, these 3 mods were some of the best experiences I had in any total war game! 🙂

Now that I think about it, I realize how magic can be incredibly OP. We are talking about a single unit that can often deal 10 times her worth in damage without too much effort (in this case more than 25 times). Obviously some lords/heroes are also ridiculous even without magic, I think I will try to mod my next campaigns to have them be less OP. 🤔

Last time I fought Thorek was with nothing but goblins 😂. Fanatics and nasty skulkers with a goblin shaman lord. It was an absolute shit show of running around the map for hours isolating units and ambushing them. Never again! Next time it happens or IF it happens I'm auto resolving that shit and taking the L.

Ai in game 3 is pretty derpy. Hopefully after Hyena's releases this game will be top priority again.

Tbh, it was the same in game 2 and 1, it's easy to exploit it. 🤷♂
The main difference in the game 3 is how the AI tends to blob around single entities which can be good (for magic) or bad (when you want to escape) depending on the situation. But other than that they were as derpy in previous games.

Only dwarfs can use rune magic, and Thorek is wise enough to not miscast one fo those. They were simply drunk that day.

Just like WH2 choke point battles. Set up on the side, and they lose all sense of direction.
I hate Thorek, he's a mortis engine, tanky as all hell, has unlimited 30 sec cooldown thunderbolts, an item that makes you 100% misscast if you're within 100 meters of him. You can't blob, you can't kill him solo unless you have a very strong melee character, he casts unlimited thunder from his ass...what a nightmare considering AI gets mega xp cheats so he's high level in no time
That is why I stopped playing total wars: you have to annihilate an army in order to rout one freaking vertically challenged drunkard, whilst in proper strategies you kill commanders to rout their armies.
The problem is: this is fine to watch but not fun to play, when you trick the AI to such an extent, it quickly becomes boring to play battles of this kind
