- This Malibu RS comes in summit white on jet black cloth. The powertrain consists of a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder turbocharged engine mated to a CVT transmission which put out 163 HP. Standard features of the RS include a performance spoiler, dual exit exhaust, and updated front fascia.

I have a 2018 Malibu LT. I have absolutely loved the car. I bought it with 8 miles, 2 years later I’m at 60k with no issues. I certainly keep the roads hot. Excellent gas mileage, comfortable on long trips and large trunk. I am really considering trading my LT for the RS. I don’t like that the RS does not have XM built in like the LT does but with Apple car play, I can download the app and still have it. That was a turnoff for me UNTIL you mentioned that the RS has the option to turn off the auto stop. That is a BIG plus as I’m not a fan of the auto stop. Great video!
I’ve had a 1.5 and a 2.0 Malibu and I agree auto stop is good for some situations, not so good for others.

How is the CVT transmission? Does it feel noticeably different than a standard transmission? Does it make the car seem slow? Any info is helpful. Thank you!
@@bigkev705 The car has a lot of pickup and it’s a very smooth ride, it doesn’t make the car seem slow. You should really go take one for a test drive to see for yourself.

How was the comfortability for you in the passenger seat? My boyfriend is about 6’1 (on the muscular side so he’s a bigger guy) and we sometimes need to travel for work (about 300 miles), I prefer to be the one driving usually so he’s in the passenger seat. We have a Honda Civic and it’s beyond uncomfortable for him because of the seat size, even just sitting in the seat for a few seconds he could already tell how uncomfortable the Honda civic was. Do you think the passenger seat in the Malibu is something that would be cozy for someone that size? Also, how was the sound level in the car while driving? Is it quiet?
I’d highly recommend getting a 2LT/Premier OR an LT with the Leather package if you can find one. That includes the power front passenger seat which I think is a must for someone that size. I found sound acoustics in the cabin to be very good in these too.
The 1500 km turbo engine is equivalent when compared to a naturally aspirated engine
