    This is the vehicle that I'm willing to purchase. It's a pity that GM pays very little attention to it and even less with promotion. I wish it was available with AWD for those of us in the Northeast. I'm no fan of the proliferation of SUVs or CUVs and I know I'm not alone with that. Peace! ♐

      Good choice! I too have a deposit on the 1LT model, thought about getting the 2LT but too much difference in price for the added things you get with it, and they aren't really necessary. So I've ordered the Riverside Blue Metallic which is really nice, and you're right, this car does not get enough attention, it's beautiful, and GM is making a big mistake not promoting it and ending its production for an EV, not something I'll ever have any interest in.

    I have this car, it has treated me very well. I average 28mpg and it has never acted up. I just wish the stero sounded better. I would buy it again.

    The LasFit LED bulbs are an amazing upgrade I highly recommend to anyone who owns a car with projector halogen lights! I swapped out the halogen lights for my 2019 Kia Optima LX and it has really made a difference! I even changed the license plate lights and reverse lights to LED and even installed a flush mount spoiler. Fairly inexpensive upgrades that can really improve the appearance-even for a base model or one trim up lol.

      I've tried LED reverse lights on my friend's 2019 Malibu LT and the backup camera stays on while driving. They each need a load resistor but for headlights i installed Easy Eagle they're really bright and powerful

    My 2008 Pontiac G6 coupe after 15 YEARS of winter in Canada the rear quarter panel is starting to bubble. Only got around 115000 KMS on it too (my first car owned it for 6 years.) In the future, when these malibu's come up used, I'll probably trade in for one.

    I ended up going with a different car when I was looking for something new, but I have to say, the Malibu made it to my top 3. Probably my second pick, if I'm being honest.
    Price was good and the features were good enough, but above everything else was the comfort. The video does NOT do it justice. Not only is the drive smooth, but the driver's seat fits me like a glove. The wheel and shifter and knobs and - well, literally everything - are in the perfect position for me. Not in my way, within excellent reaching or resting distance...
    But unfortunately it's just not as good a value as other cars I was looking at and it doesn't have the reliability of those other cars. But oh man, was this a comfy ride, at least for me.

    Kinda bugs me how they put cloth on the doors and the dash makes it look even more cheap. But other than that it is a good looking car

    did you notice a difference between the rs and ls because of wheel size? did the ls having smaller wheels cause it to ride better or worse or no noticable difference?

    • @NothinButCarReviews
      @NothinButCarReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      LS is a TAD smoother, but would go with RS because I think better looking rims are worth trade off for the difference in ride.

    5:19 Does the engine normally sound like that? I feel like I can hear knocking, idk if it’s just me. 1.5L maybe just makes noise.

  • @danielfaflik4545
    @danielfaflik4545 ปีที่แล้ว

    So the newer CVT's are much better then the older versions correct? I am looking at downgrading from my 2022 Buick Envision Preferred ST into the cheapest possible sedan on the market and the malibu comes up on the search. Also the 1.5T make it seem underpowered?

    • @NothinButCarReviews
      @NothinButCarReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure GM has enough history with the CVT to say yes or no to that. I’d say they are better than Nissan’s old CVTs, but don’t know that for sure.

    • @Barrie562
      @Barrie562 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 1.5 is not underpowered with this car, for normal driving, but I wouldn't be pulling any trailer load with it. Compared to the V6 in my Pontiac could see no difference in power either for pickup speed or climbing hills, but the fuel economy is double that of the V6

      Every review of this car on youtube is guaranteed to have the reviewer rag on the Malibu for halogen headlamps taillights. I agree the warm glow of the traditional halogen bulbs give the car a timeless look especially on a black one.led lighting is soooooooo overrated
