What I've learned from this talk is that we really need to be diplamtic when it comes to our relationships. You can't thrive while being anxious and angry. Wish I was born in a family that being calm during arguments was a core value. Instead, I grow up in a family where my dad used to constantly scream and cut people off because of his bad childhood and my mom was very neglectful. she was always looking for a way to escape from her responsibilities as a mother. But I'm happy that I'm healing and I'm learning to become a secure person.
Beautiful talk. Love the idea of 'good enough' ' relationship. In no way do I want to live up to someone looking for perfection.
Thank you for this clear talk about finding connection when there is difference. About making it right by caring and empathy. I love it...great to be thinking about as we move towards Peace Day/Remembrance Day/Veterans Day. Peace in the world (macro level) starts with us all working towards and finding peace in the home (micro level). Your work is so important!

Good lord. Yeah the man stands by his wife and then the mom gets pissed of. I was a sandwich between my mom and my wife for 20 years. They could have ripped each arm of mine to have their way. Finally i had to tell them to grow up or you both will lose me and that's what happened. Now I'm in peace. Really.
Here's my simple suggestion and challenge for peace. Pledge that you will do no harm to people or Planet from this day forward. Mean it and practice it and promote it. That will be the end of war, poverty, hunger n suffering. No research no PhD. Just the common man and woman to act to change the world to bring world peace.
