    That is so cool. I have been having issues with my extruder and this looks like an amazing fix. I really want to do a review of this on my channel.

    Looks good, but I wouldn't call it competitive prices

    I'm very much considering this extruder but i'm unsure of how it would fit on the Printrbot Simple Metal. Seems like I may have to make an adapter plate of sorts. Anyone else done this upgrade on a PBSM?

    How about making a light weight direct drive extruder for delta printers

  • @draco_2727
    @draco_2727 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you accommodate that extruder in top of the effector of a delta to get a direct drive extruder and a risen nozzle?

    Both links in the email I got about this video (for the blog post and the extruder listing itself) say the page cannot be found as of 4PM EST.

      +Tim Elmore Nice.
      I'm probably missing something in the blog post, but are the holes on the pictured assembly equivalent to a Greg Wade's mount for a drop-in replacement (Like on a Mendel 90 variant such as the Robo3D printer)?

      +Jeremy Naglich I think E3D would be happy to oblige. If not and you're located in the US, Filastruder has them in stock: www.filastruder.com/products/e3d-titan-extruder

    Got mine today. So far I have to say I'm not entirely amused - looks like they pulled the trigger on the injection mold two iterations too early.
    There are a few things I don't like:
    Hotend rotates freely in the mount due to loose fit (will have to shim it).
    Spring arm joint on the motor shaft is a plastic hole without bearing and will wear and load the motor.
    And the stuff with the protruding motor pinion grub screw / spacer required...?
    Also it seems they unnecessarily add ~15mm to the total length from the drive wheel to the nozzle, not great for flexibles.
    I hope it doesn't become the the most expensive plastic gear I ever bought ;)
    I'll post once more after I got it working.

      Thanks for addressing this. I was also concerned with the idler arm being attached to the motor shaft, but I will be on the lookout for Tom's review. That guy is the best. And this Extruder looks really awesome. Not necessarily the price tag, but the design looks pretty good.

    Please answer, does this extruder need to be attached to the hot end? I hvae a tevo tarantula and the bowden extruder is not on top of the hot end, but rather on the side near the motherboard. Will this extruder still work?

    • @E3DOnline
      @E3DOnline  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Titan doesn't need to be attached to your hot end: it can be set up as either Direct or as Bowden. :)

    seems like a cool product - but "horrible" background music, which I perceived as very distracting, making it difficult to concentrate on what was told.
    This goes, that not the music itself is that horrible, but such music is better listened to on a couch with it being the only thing one has to concentrate on - as background music while a voice is explaining technical details, it was a very unpleasant experience watching this video - again - not meant in any hostile way

    To people wanting to mount this extruder on a Prusa i3 or similar kits such as Zonestar P802M, Wanhao/Cocoon and Geeetech 3D printers, I designed this mount : www.thingiverse.com/thing:1532835
    Any suggestion and feedback greatly appreciated ! :)
