    I also owned both and ultimately got rid of the 392 and kept the Ineos. Paint corrosion on the hood and hinges of the Jeeps, my valve cover gold paint flaking off, engine drone at highway speeds in the Jeep, and the fact the visibility out of the front of the Ineos was way better. I also love the safari windows and overall look and feel of the Ineos with its buttons on the roof etc. Build quality on the Ineos and quality of components is amazing. I am a bit older than you and have had my share of speed machines and sound so I just for the Ineos better during my final one third of life. Great channel and keep it up Ben! I have used my 5k Likes on TH-cam so sorry I cannot Like your videos anymore. It’s a silly Thing for TH-cam to limit how many times a userid can Like things.

      From curiosity, do the safari windows leak when raining ? How is that isolation ?

      No leaks and no wind noise. They are perfect for people wanting that open air feel and unlike a normal sunroof the driver and passenger can operate the roof desire individually.

    The Ineos seems like a really cool vehicle for its designed purpose. I would be worried more about parts and upgrades availability vs the wrangler is a driving Lego. So man options to kit out and build. Our family has owned and continues to keep jeeps in the family. Just fun vehicles and great in the fall time for topless beach days.

    I’ve owned a 392 on 37s and now own a grenadier lifted on 35s. (I’ve also owned a Gen 1 G63 and a Gen 2 G550 lifted on 32s).
    The Grenadier is closer to Gen 1 G class in build quality.
    The 392 is more fun to drive, the Grenadier makes you feel more special, gives you more confidence and much more mature in feel
    I get way more looks in the lifted Grenadier than I ever did in any G wagon or the 392.
    Grenadier all day

    Having recently sat in a Wrangler 392 and felt really cramped at 6'2, I would have to go with the Grenadier because it has more interior room. I also like the look of the Grenadier, inside and out, better than the Wrangler. The only serious issue with the Grenadier, as I've said before, is the transmission. Not putting a manual transmission in it was a crime. To be fair, the Wrangler suffers from the same offense in this comparison. Another interesting comparison to the Grenadier would be a Bronco Sasquatch (with a manual). The Bronco boasts better interior room than the Wrangler, so that would remove that particular advantage from the Grenadier, and the manual would definitely be tempting, even though Ford paired it with the smallest engine possible.

    Excellent comparison. The Jeep looks good, However the Grenadier ia a much higher end machine. Jeep is about 20K overpriced. Entire Jeep line is over-priced with too many very cheap plastic parts. The console is a case in point.

    Ideally -- both! If I had to choose, Ineos for cargo volume and payload capacity. Jeep for SPEED and more fun driving dynamics.

    Impressed with your honesty. What is interesting is you flat out state that the steering is better in the Wrangler - and you can even see that while you drive. You don't have to keep making adjustments, and you don't have to turn the wheel as much. The reason I mention that is literally every other review on the Grenadier says the steering is not great, but way better than the Wrangler! And while I have not driven a Grenadier, I know in my Wrangler the turning circle is nice and tight, I do not need to make constant corrections trying to drive in a straight line. And I do not need to turn it as much.
    It is really weird that you don't get power seats in the Grenadier - the seats even have those markings on the side where the adjusters would go!
    The Rubicon 392 also comes way better set up as a turn key off roader. I don't see what would make the Grenadier better as an overlander - both are 4 doors vehicles with lots of space. The Rubicon comes with a much better tire/suspension package - way more clearance - and it comes with disconnect-able sway bar.
    But... the only time I would get the Rubicon is if it was the standard model w the 35s. That truck is about $15-$20K cheaper than the Grenadier and so makes sense to me. For the same or more money than the Grenadier? No way - I'll get a Grenadier just because it is so cool and unique. And hope the company does not go belly up in a few years!

    I have both. The Ineos is G wagon fit and finish with everything tight and no rattles even after extreme off-roading. Can’t say the same about a jeep. Ineos all the way to the bank.

    The real comparison Ben is if you put both on a lift and measure the size and robustness of all the components under the grenadier versus the Wrangler and you’d see where the excess money is going to. It’s a shame you didn’t bring it up because people are literally bitching about the back up camera, and clearly don’t even know that the little tiny Dana 44s on the jeep are smaller than the Carrero axles on the grenadier same with axle shafts, frame, etc. the grenadier is much heavier duty.

      @floofy117 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@blakemarchand6650I'm sure someone will find a way to fit 37s on a grenadier eventually. However, massive tyres would be counterintuitive to the reason the ineos was made. Unlike the Jeep which is designed for more technical trails and rock crawling (up to the user) where massive tyres are extremely beneficial, the ineos was engineered for agricultural (farm) use and/or long distance off-road touring (overlanding) where "smaller" tyres (33-35inch tyres) are more optimum for efficiency. I must admit i wouldn't mind seeing one on 37s just to see how it looks. I've seen many in Europe that have been fitted with portal axles and 35 inch tyres and they look amazing (used by firefighters)

      @@floofy117 yeah I’d like to see both 35s and 37s but what kinda of farm use would the Ineos be doing ?

    • @floofy117
      @floofy117 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@blakemarchand6650 i presume mostly on European farms. I don't think the north American market has this option but in Europe you can order a base spec version of the Grenadier that's essential like a panel van, it comes with just the front seat and everything in the rear is striped out with a load partition separating the front seat from the rear. In this configuration the Grenadier can fit 1 standard euro pallet inside it. That's what the faems would probably use whether for moving a few livestock or a few bits of equipment. I assume it would also be a hit with people who have hunting dogs in Europe. I'm sure buyers in the US wouldn't mind getting the option of a stripped down 2 seat version. Although this version can also be optioned with the 2nd row.

    I own a Jeep, and I have owned many Land Rovers. I would love to buy the new Grenadier, but I am concerned about the availability of maintenance, parts, etc. I think this review falls short of some premium parts that come with the Grenadier, which I believe makes it a step above Jeep.

    The grenadier really seems like a POS. I can't fathom for one second how that vehicle can command almost $100k. The interior, the backup camera, the wheels, and the odd materials choice scream budget junk build. I never thought I'd look at a Wrangler and think, wow, that's really nice. Next to the Ineos, it looks very premium. Can't believe you bought that piece of junk Grenadier, Ben. I think you will come to regret it very soon.

    • @escdefender
      @escdefender หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Clearly, you have no idea what you’re looking at when it comes to where the money was put in the Grenadier. Go look at the frame, axles, suspension, the size of the components like tie rods, sway bars etc.
      Actually look at everything under the Grenadier versus the Jeep and you’ll see why the grenadier costs more.
      to get similar robust undercarriage and components on a Jeep you would have to swap out the entire suspension system put Dana 60s on for axles, and you would still be driving around a vehicle who’s base model components still stay on even with the 392.

      @@robertannable9584 listen wise guy, first off you can’t even change the tiny frame on the Wrangler to begin with number two normal high-quality aftermarket suspension alone costs 5K to do not counting installation costs then full Dana 60s on both front and back that’s another 4000+ dollars then you have to add the Brembo brakes, that the jeep doesn’t have etc. etc. etc.
      Again, I can tell by your comments that you don’t know anything about any sort of thing.
