    This video was really helpful and love your energy! It's nice that you answer everyone's questions. Question on toe box. I currently wear Asics Gel-Kayano 25, which are my favorite because of the roomy toe box. I found the 26's to be too snug or the sizing was off. What are your thoughts on the toe box for the 27 and 28? Thank you.

      @@kickinit7018 after using Kayano 28 for about two weeks I think 25th model for me personally was better and much more comfortable since I didn’t feel any pain in my left foot in the previous model after running 6-9 km like I feel with 28th Kayano after each my training. Besides, my tempo has been reduced with a new pair of sneakers. Maybe I will need to wear them longer in order to come up with more objective criticism but my firsts impressions were like these... Hi, I'm from Brazil and I liked your videos posted here, explaining about some tennis models. I have doubts about which shoes I should choose and I'm in doubt about 03 models, Nimbus 23, Kayano 27 and Ultraboost 21 (Adidas), the intention is to use these shoes for walking, going out with the family, using the gym and standing, no it is intended to running. And I have pronated tread. So what's your suggestion?? Help me clear this doubt.

    • @kickinit7018
      @kickinit7018  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello German! Sorry for the delayed response, so just to be clear you said you are not going to use it for running? If you are using it for just walking I would get the Ultraboost. I have a pair of Ultraboost that I use for walking and they are BY FAR the softest shoe. The one problem with the ultraboost is that they have weak lateral supports because the upper mesh is typically made out of a knit material. This makes you more prone to rolling your ankle in the gym, especially if you are doing exercises that involve jumping or side to side movement. If you are using it for walking AND in gym, I'd recommend Nimbus 23 or Kayano 27. If it is just for walking, definitely go Ultraboost :). Hope that helps, any questions let me know!

    I would like to provide a quick clarification: When we talked about flytefoam blast, we talked about how it could make the shoe responsive but still very nice and lightweight. Let it be known, the Gel-Kayano is lighter because of the flytefoam; however, will not be lighter compared to other Asics shoes with less structure/support in them such as the Dynaflyte or the Gel-Quantum. Nevertheless, that it is the trade when you are getting the type of support and stability that the Kayano offers. Thank you!

    • @kickinit7018

      @N F Hey NF, we are actually trained in the retail stores to recommend Stability runners for people who are flatfooted and or overpronate. I can only speak to my experience, but in my 3 years of working retail I sold hundreds of Stability shoes to people who overpronat and or are flatfooted. In that time I have had many many people come back to give thanks for fitting them in a Kayano or GT-2000 etc as they would always say the shoe had done wonders to alleviate their pain whether that be in their ankles knees etc. This is especially true of people who were higher in weight. Hence, that is the reason why I still recommend this because from my experience and from what customers have come back and told me, stability shoes for overpronaters/flatfooters are great (once again from my experience).

    I have recently bought Gel Kiano 28 ffor my daily run but somehow my ankle always got hurt after run. Is it the side effect of a neutral runner who use stability shoes, or it's just the shoes need some adjustment before they break in? Ps. I have only wore it twice

  • @A7XHellBlaze
    @A7XHellBlaze 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have the Kayano 28, that exact color. I use it strictly for the gym and workouts. I cannot wear these casually as they make my feet look like elf feet. My favorite is the gel Kayano 24. it just looks sleek, simple, yet sophisticated as it has no logo on the medial side. I can wear those casually and stay comfortable. I know that Asics has moved into the chunky phase and all their models are now chunky even the Kayano. Overall, the Kayano 28 is a comfortable shoe that you can definitely wear every day but it does fit a bit snug so I would recommend to go half size up for those wide footers.

    • @kickinit7018
      @kickinit7018  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello Samuel, unfortunately I have not tried the Saucony Hurricane's or Mizunos! I can guarantee though with the support and new flytefoam blast in this 28, it will likely be heavier than the Saucony or Mizuno. Hence, if you prefer a lighter shoe go with those, but if you want something extra supportive and cushioned go with the Kayano.
      I hope that helps!

    I just bought Kayano 27 and I have avg width foot but flatfooted. For the first time since buying Asics(Cumulus ,GT 1000,GT 2000 previously) I had to buy half size up. Reason is the Kayano 27 is atypically narrow in the midfoot( really noticebly tight for me). If you have avg width foot,I would recommend trying them on at a store before buying. Turns out my big toe ends up where it should be in a half size up as well. Please note:I don't know if Kayano 28 has a narrow midfoot like 27 that I bought. Maybe they are typical width.

      Hey Naveen, I am not to sure what you are asking. Are you asking if the Gel-Kayano 28 will do the same? The Gel-Kayano 28 will definitely fit a bit bigger than the 26. In terms of weight, I'd expect to feel comparable tot he 27 especially since they did put the extra flytefoam Blast in there. This Flytefoam Blast does make the shoe softer though, SIGNIFICANTLY softer in my opinion!

Some brands are built more minimally but premium Asics models like the Gel-Kayano or Gel-Nimbus are built with a ton of extra support and cushioning. These will definitely help! Hi Jordan, I'm wondering if you'd be able to shed some light on the difference between the Gel-Kayano 28 and the Gel-Kayano 28 (MK), which I believe means Mesh Knit? I tried on a pair of the regular 28s that fit well, but the color scheme I like the most is only in the MK version. From what I'm gathering on the few reviews online, the MK version is somehow worse than the regular. Do you know if there is actually any significant different between the two versions?

      Hey Taylor, sorry for the delayed response my friend. The MK simply means Mesh Knit, so the shoe uses a knitted upper. If you have ever worn the Adidas Ultraboost, it is similar to this type of material. There are trade off's, I personally love knit materials as they hug your foot, and it feels much more lightweight. Almost like you are wearing a sock. On the counter argument, my mom for example hates them as she feels like her foot is suffocating from how much the knit hugs. This is definitely personal preference and something you have to try on before purchasing!

      @@kickinit7018 Thanks for the reply! I did end up trying both of them on to compare. I did like a lot about the Mesh Knit version, but the one problem I had with it was how high the heel wall came up. Hey Adee, yes they can, however, if you are looking for shoes that will correct your underpronation these won't do it. They will offer more support but will not correct that issue. If you are looking for underpronation shoes, check out the Asics Gel-Cumulus :)

    What the different between asics Kayano 28 and asics Kayano lite 2
    From(stability)

    • @kickinit7018
      @kickinit7018  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Hussein, from my recollection in the Gel-Kayano Lite the Dynamic Duomax (Stability support) on the inside of the shoe has been reduced/taken out. They use a different type of support system. This helps to make the LITE lighter in weight, so if stability is what you seek the 28 will be better.

    Hello sir.. is gel kayano 28 good for long distance running? and it is light weight right?

    • @kickinit7018
      @kickinit7018  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Conor, the Gel-Kayano 28 is extremely built for long distance runs. This is the shoe that is recommended by Asics for the 25 K marathons etc. However, it is not as light as other models, particularly this year because of the addition of the Flytefoam Blast. It makes for a much softer ride; however, adds a bit of weight. It is still light for the amount of cushioning it has in it, but may be heavier compared to other Asics models like let's say the Quantum or the Nimbus.

    Is gel kayano 28 ideal for wide flat feet and plantar pain?

    • @kickinit7018
      @kickinit7018  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Ajay,
      Definitely for wide and flat feet yes! It is okay for Plantar pain as well; however, the Nimbus (which is not made wide foot) maybe just as good if not better for Plantar! The Kayano would be good at tackling both issues for sure :)

    Hello, I have a question .. I am daily runner with Sketcher GO-RUN shoes (approximately 5-6 kms per day) ..... Recently I purchased ASICS GT - 1000 - 10 from India.. .but I feel that this pair is NOT SO CUSHIONED OR COMFORTABLE as compared to Sketcher. Should I go to any other BRAND or continue TO TRY this SHOES. OR I should purchase ASICS NOVA BLAST ?? Please suggest me.. your suggestion is very valuable to me. . because I give a lot of importance to running...

    • @kickinit7018
      @kickinit7018  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Sam! I would give the Asics shoes one more try. The GT-1000 is a good supportive shoe but lacks cushioning. If you want something that is very good for cushioning AND support, I'd definitely recommend the GT-2000 instead. It is a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for in terms of the cushioning.
      On the flip side, if you don't care about the shoe being too supportive and want more so something that is just more soft, the Gel-Nimbus or the Nova Blast would both be very good options. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions 🙏

    I have low arch feet, it's not a flat feet but yes it's a little low, should I go for kayano or gt 1000/2000 ??

    • @kickinit7018
      @kickinit7018  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Karan, all of these options will prove to be beneficial to a person with a lower arch type. It more so depends on what is your preference in terms of fit and feel. The GT-1000 is the lower end of all of these shoes, although it is great for lower arch types, it has a bit less cushioning and won't be as comfortable as the GT-2000 or the Gel-Kayano 28. Nonetheless, it comes at a cheaper price point.
      As for the GT-2000 and Gel-Kayano 28 (or 27 if you get last years models), both of these will be more cushioned and feel more comfortable, just at a higher price tag. I can't really recommend one over the other, because these two shoes are both so excellent, it is more so about which one fits your foot best!
      Long story short, if you do have the money, go with the GT-2000 or Gel-Kayano 28 (or 27 if available). If you don't, go with the GT-1000. Let me know if you have anymore questions :)

      @@karanmadan6403 No problem at all Karan. I am not as familiar with New Balance, but from my research and understanding, two of your best bets are the New Balance 990V5 and the New Balance Freshfoam 860 if you are looking for shoes for somebody with a low arch. I unfortunately never ran in the 27 my friend. However, what's worthy of noting is that these will be softer than the 27, but with that they will be a bit heavier. So if you prefer a softer shoe go 28 and if you prefer a lighter shoe go 27! Hope that helps 🙏

      Hey Themba, yes they can! Just understand that with that extra support may come a heavier and stiffer midsole. Some people mind it, others don't do to the support that they get in return. Definitely go and try on in store if you are interested :)

    Which one is better Hoka one one arahi 4, or 5, or 6. For flat feet and over pronation. Cz at mall now they don't have Hoka one one arahi 4 or 5 they only have Hoka one one arahi 6. But at online some shops still sell it. And arahi 4 cheaper then 5 and arahi 5 cheaper then 6. Or ASIC gel kayano better then Hoka one one Arabic,how about me balance..I just figure out that I have flat feet with slightly overpronation cz I m obese now. Hehehehe I have to kick my ass and move walk and do exercise, I can't run cz I am still heavy, but I need stable running shoes to walk or fast walk. Please give me ur advice and what the difference between all of them. Thank you so much. God bless you

    • @kickinit7018
      @kickinit7018  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey my friend! Both the Gel-Kayano and the GT-2000 would be better than the GT-1000. However, if you are saying the GT-1000 is hurting your foot, then I would go with the GT-2000. Sometimes the Kayano has a bit of a stiffer midsole and it can cause a bit of hurting for those who don't like the GT-1000.
