- Despite a chaotic mishap creating an additional pint-sized Werehog, the plan is underway. The two Sonics and the two Tailses have come to the world of the Arabian Nights to utilize the wish-granting power of the magic lamp to stop the Time Eater.
But upon securing the ornament, the atrocious genie, Alf Layla Wa Layla, beared down on them. As the opposition grows fiercer, Sonic the Werehog will stake everything on a gamble. Harnessing his worst fears to bring about a spark of wildfire.

Here's my theory on why Sonic is now Werehog in the day. As he was trying to escape White Space, he found himself comforted by Dark Gaia, embracing it. Basically accepting the darkness, to use Kingdom Hearts talk. This allowed Dark Gaia to gain more influence over Sonic, and grow stronger. I don't think anything in Lost World would be able to help him, but there's always unexpected twists when it comes to these. Great job, Scourge.
The life draining machine could possible drain the dark life force in sonic and Zavok’s uses dark Gaia for himself or for his crew the even more Deadlier Six

I started with three than played 1 followed by watching days (for the bonus cards in re:com) currently working on getting through re:com also did a proud mode playthrough of 0.2 and a playthrough on beginner of 3 (because I was struggling with data org but was able to complete it on the lower difficulty shockingly also beat yozora (I am still surprised myself that I was able to do it)

Hang up a sec, I've just noticed a correlating theme throughout the "Sonic Never Lost The Werehog Form" series so far:
Part 1 (Black Knight) was about Sonic trying to deny the Werehog
Part 2 (Colours DS) was about Sonic's anger over the Werehog form
Part 3 (Generations HD) is about Sonic bargaining for a chance to fully rid himself of the Werehog form
Recognising what pattern this is turning into, I'm betting on Part 4 (Lost World) focusing on Sonic's depression of having to deal with the Werehog form 24/7 and the hurdles that come with such a scenario, and Part 5 (Forces) focusing on his inevitable acceptance of it.

...oh snap. If Classic Sonic was from between Sonic 1 and Sonic 2, we might have just created a sub-What If! Granted, it might only be a one-shot leading up to Mania, but the effects this has on Sonic CD alone might make it worth it.

My personal theory: Sonic subconsciously tapped into Dark Gaia's energy to reach the necessary speed to escape. However, he's been embracing Dark Gaia's power more and more, and that has lead to this more permanent transformation.
Mine is similar to yours but when sonic tapped in to more dark gaia energy the transformation was a perfect fusion of base and werehog, speed of base form and strength of the were boi.
I want to add that chip left because chip is being blocked by the dark gaia energy
I'd like to add on to your theory. maybe in that Split second when Sonic was trying to reach the necessary speed to go faster maybe instead of thinking about how comforting it is to have dark giya's presence with him maybe he should have said thought of chips presence causing him to turn back into his base form by tapping into Chip's power instead. Adding on to this what if he thought about both chip and dark giya's presence at the same time. Maybe he would have created a perfect Unison between werehog and normal Sonic, being just as fast as normal Sonic while being just as powerful as werehog.
That’s what I was thinking, perhaps when Sonic felt comforted by Dark Gaia’s presence it grew stronger from within his body but not in a bad way.
It’s kinda like darkness from Kingdom Hearts.
Although in Sonic’s case it’s definitely bad, cause Chip is gone and he’s still stuck in the Werehog state.

My theory: in Whitespace, when Sonic had just about given up, Chip sacrificed his power to boost Sonic's speed, which is why the bracelet's jewel is broken.
The Dark Gia energy didn't gain more power; it simply isn't hindered by Light Gia anymore.
That is good. We will have to see what happens.
Honestly I'm calling it now, by the end of this What If, Sonic is gonna be in a form that is the best of both worlds, with the speed of his base form and the power of his Werehog form when he accepts the Dark Gaia in him, perhaps that's what this form you teased is.

I just noticed that this saga is following a pattern similar to the stages of grief.
1. Negation (part 1 Black Knight) Sonic can't accept the fact that he is no longer fully hedgehog during all periods of day, fearing that the new part which he deems as dangerous and harmful could pose a threat to his friends outside of his control, expressed in the Excalibur Lancelot vs. Perfect Werehog fight in his dream.
2. Anger (Colors) Sonic has developed a fear towards his werehog part, expressed both in anger towards Eggman when he remarks his new issues and disgust when his friends act towards him in a surprisive way. This is expressed in his fight against Mother Wisp, where his anger and dark energy prevents him from dealing with her on his own and almost bring him to his death.
3. Bargaining (Generations) Sonic has accepted the Werehog to a certain degree, but stills regards it as a danger. He is willing to involve himself in possibly dangerous missions (such as fighting a mytological legend without being able to ensure a win) just to see some hope of him turning back to his original shape. Classic transformation may represent his fears of having the Werehog form forever affect his perception.
From now on we have sadness (Lost World, maybe something related to his inability to help Tails and use his flexibility to his full extent) and acceptance (Forces, where through the Avatar he may learn how not being able to use his speed at all times doesn't neccessarily have to be negative and can full rely on his friends again).

Post video analysis: well that ending was a really interesting change of pace, but still fits with my theory. Sonic's original DarkSpine Werehog transformation and the posterior Super Werehog would be representative of the instances he takes against his issues: one in which he can only rely on himself and turns to the ring's anger, or one were he can trust his friends to regain positive energy. His permanent transformation but Classic's return represent his emotions: a dark desesperation, where even the hopes that could provide light are still poisoned by his desesperation (dark energy in Classic still remaining.)
The next stage being somehow related to depression makes sense, as people who go through this period are faced with accepting a loss now as part of their current situation, feeling that they may have lost a part of them. Good job Scourge!

Nothing will ever be the same ever again because the fusion is permanent, any trying to remove the Werehog form equals fatal. Any wish also is fatal. Sonic accepted that his speed is gone. This is a character development that is rare in Sonic games and development for everyone else.

How are you pissed buddy, what have you got problems with this ending of this Amazing What If Series?
Sonic basically just told Erazor: "Sing a song of sorrow, in a world where time has vanished."
Alright, a couple of things here:
- the new transformations you presented were amazing. I absolutely love the combination of Alf-Layla-Wa-Layla with the Time Eater and the design is marvelous.
- the changes you made lead to a finale I wasn't expecting. Time Eater out of control, Erazor Djinn trapped forever in the White Space Zone, Classic Sonic with the Werehog curse, and the permanent transformation of Werehog.
Will Sonic ever recover from this adventure? I feel kinda sad for the outcome of this What If; keep in mind, this adventure you imagined is amazing (you have an incredible imagination for telling stories), and so are the other scenarios you presented, but since Part 2 Sonic has had some pretty bad luck:
- in the story of Black Knight, while the idea was good, the magic of Merlina was somehow corrupted giving Sonic a worst form than the Werehog, and not even Excalibur Shadow was able to cure him;
- in Colors, the Super transformation wasn't enough to purify the Nega Mother Wisp, and thanks to Dark Gaia energy, Sonic saw a hellish form of the Werehog, the beast from his nightmares. If it wasn't for his friends Sonic would've have lost his hedgehogity to the darkness
- and now here, while I would've loved a confrontation of Sonic against his darkness, he made incredibly risky moves just to try to get rid of his curse, resulting in Classic Werehog, his permanent transformation and an incredible loss in his usual speed.
So, next time we will soar to the mythical Lost Hex, where his residents are not pleased with visitors. However, ever since Part 2, I've always wondered how his cursed powers could lead him to different strategies against the Deadly Six.

It technichley means thet a entire new Timline has bein written, in wher Sonic has the Werhog form for MUCH longer. Now im intrestet how that Sonic develops and how the events of Unleashed go by. Its also possible that Eggman in thise timline isnt even going to try this, seeing as he KNOWS the results.

You know what..... I can totally see this spinning off into "What if Classic Sonic had the Werehog form" and we'd see how Classic would fare with having it in the Classic Series of games: Sonic 2, CD, 3, 3D Blast and Mania. Would be interesting for sure.
I've been thinking about this for a while now. What if when Tails is kidnapped in Lost World Sonic ends up killing Zor in a blacked out rage? I think this could be used as a wake up call to Eggman that he should probably do something to cure Sonic from the Werehog.
That could be intresting. That even Eggman says "Okay no this cant continue" but more out of self preservertion. Maybe the 6 months he has Sonic as a prisoner in forces are yoused to find a cure to the Werhog instead of just...having him prisoner.

It probably looks like the half-and-half except that it’s a sleeker werehog that has both the powers it’s like 200% sonic 100% percent werehog 100% normal
It's seems to possibly be a hybrid form of Sonic and the Werehog, but unlike the mish mashed one from the White Space, it's more stable, my theory is that Sonic was able to achieve this because while in the White Space, neither Chip (no offense to Chip) nor Dark Gaia were able to interfere, as the White Space is beyond their reach, because of this, Sonic was able to properly focus and when he embraced the part of Dark Gaia within him rather than reject it like in the past, he was able to more properly utilize it and even combine it with his own powers. So it seems like by the time this what if catches up with the original story, rather than ridding himself of Dark Gaia's essence like he originally intended, he will gain independence from Dark Gaia, and the essence within will fully become a part of him, and Chip's Bracelet dimming out seems to be a sign that soon Chip won't need to watch over him anymore and that he knows that Sonic will be fine on his own. But hey, that's just a theory. A Sonic Theory! (Lol, I'm sorry)

What if Mighty and Ray appeared in Generations?
It could start off like how Generations plays out normally, but with the Knuckleses (I don't know how it's written) When they encounter two zones from Knuckles Chaotix, with Mighty and Ray in a petrified state, but whichever one was found first would stay with the group until the other was found
I'm not "The Sega Scourge", but I think I could do a guess anwser on this question...
If you meant that they would be frozen on two Knuckles' Chaotix stages and then were saved by Classic and Modern Sonic, then they would encourage the Sonics with the other friends in the fight against the Time Eater.
If they were the Classic Counterparts, they would simply return to the past with Classic Sonic and Classic Tails(making the events of Mania Plus proceed as normally, or they could additionaly help them on the events of 3 & Knuckles)
Now If they were Modern, then they would introduce themselves to everyone on Sonic's Birthday Party and they would problably join the cast.(They could even become part of the Chaotix!)

Most notably the eye of dark gaia giving red flags.
If chip wasn't there, I don't even want to think how he may have turned out.
Also loved how you brought back Sonic's friends. Referencing back to the earlier wish he made.

Can we give werehog a break in Forces, such as being able to resist the phantom ruby's energy through dark gaia's.
I think they are going to pull a Hulk-Banner split on him - separating the werehog from Sonic (who just returns to the regular switching due to Classic) using the Phantom Ruby. The werehog might slowly grow more powerful as time goes on, until it becomes Neo Dark Gaia.
I can't wait to see how Classic deals with his werehog form in Mania, or how Mighty, Ray, Classic Amy, and Classic Knuckles would react to it
Just saw some comments and I recommend continuing with Sonic's grief over his werehog form each chapter (game) with Lost World being depression and Forces being acceptance (but maybe figure out a way to switch from both forms at will by the ending of Forces)
I love that videos of fake nose date because he is getting like the void music and after you feel like one alfalfa show me Sonic but we don't have the avatar I can't tell him Sonic. Namenda

Personally I would've liked to see this what-if scenario reach into Sonic '06's story, I think that could make for some interesting turns. It could help explain Mephiles' reasoning for targeting Sonic specifically, as maybe he'd see the essence of Dark Gaia as a rival to combine with Iblis or something. It would also be a good reason for Silver to be so easily convinced that Sonic's the Iblis Trigger, as Mephiles could show "A monster that passes for a normal hedgehog in daylight" rather than just Sonic in a fiery background. There could be a misunderstanding, with Silver calling Sonic the one that destroys the world, so when he's thrown into the apocalyptic future, Sonic thinks this is the result of him losing control of Dark Gaia's energy. Perhaps it could even improve the most infamous part of '06's story, the relationship between Sonic and Elise. Elise could be an eye opener to Sonic that maybe the werehog isn't the worst thing that can happen to a person. Maybe seeing Sonic's predicament, Elise would sympathise that she also has a darkness she struggles to contain, and if she ever so much as cries that monster will come out and wreak havoc, and this news hits Sonic like a ton of bricks. As much as he hates the Werehog, at least he's more or less allowed to feel his emotions without going on a rampage, he couldn't imagine having to deal with this without being allowed to feel a certain way, and at least the werehog comes with a couple perks while there is absolutely nothing even remotely good about being stuck with Iblis. Elise on the other hand, would also feel bad for Sonic, who has to face his curse every single night, and this mutual understanding would lead to a shared respect between the two.
Of course, the biggest problem with this suggestion is that 06 came out before unleashed so it technically isn't possible unless we bend the timeline a bit. To be fair, Sonic 06 has always had a wonky place in the timeline and is just weird enough about its continuity that it could be put after Unleashed without too much trouble, but still, it's easy to see why this suggestion would be problematic
He did a double boost with dark Gaia. Also with the next game being lost World, parkour is just gonna be any spider man game and I love that idea

So Shadow or Sliver would mostly turn into Werehogs as well but they would not be on the same level as Sonic since it was only a small bit.
This story seems hard but rewarding. So how does the story of lost world and forces going to play out when sonic being werehog 24/7? Is he going to find the cure or is he going to be stuck being werehog for all time? I can’t wait to find out.
I get the feeling that Sonic and Tails might finish up their research and back up half of it but then Eggman comes and ruins their research in some way before the story of Lost World happens so they need to redo the half of the research that was ruined DURING their adventure in the Lost Hex. I don't know if this might be the scenario that actually does happen though, this is just me guessing. But I would like to see something like this happen in the next video.

Tikal and Amy in this AU also are BFFs and she controls Magic instead of Chaos energy just like in SA2 and SA1.

Edit: this part was so good and that ending was somber. We had dark spine werehog vs a blend between erazor jinn and the time eater. Then super werehogs giving the time genie some big fists in the heart. What happened to erazor is probably the worst fate for him. He is now alone in a void with nothing except himself the immortal being he is. A cruel fate for him. Also this timelines's shara is sadly dead forever. R.I.P.
Ok, so here is my theory on that form sonic used to get out of the white void. That form was basically the energy of light gaia, aka chip to make sonic power up into a form I call Light Sonic. It allowed him to transcend time itself to break out of the void but it was too much. It would explain why outside of the void he stays in his werehog form now. He used up all his light, leaving darkness in its wake. But besides that theory I have I really cant wait to see what you do to fix up lost worlds. I reckon that in White Space, sonic transformed into a pure fusion of the hedgehog and werehog forms when trying to break through time to get back to the present
Not the half-and-half that negates his modern speed but keeps it above werehog, and negates his werehog strength but keeps it above modern. But a true fusion of the two forms, mixing the full speed of modern with the overwhelming strength of the werehog
Why? It’s likely that the dark Gaia essence within modern sonic realised that they’d be trapped in White Space if sonic didn’t speed out, so it “cooperated” with sonic by giving him his modern speed while retaining the werehog strength and durability to make it through the time breaking and back into the present.
I really hope you continue this story at some point again. I enjoyed it so much and I really want to see how sonic handles being a werehog 24/7 in both forces and in frontiers, especially after revealing that new form.
Part 6 will come! And it'll be _Lost World_ before we get to Forces!

Wow I can not wait for the next part of What If Sonic Never Lost The Werehog Form, all I can imagine is that Sonic being in his Werehog Form at day and night being all sad (which I saw other people's comments) and still being at Tail's house still trying to get back to normal and his friends comforting him as well.
I can't wait for the next part where Sonic the Werehog versus The Deadly Six, where Sonic takes them on being in his Werehog Form and especially Zavok since he uses brute strength and especially Sonic The Werehog, all I can imagine is Sonic and Zavok are going to beat each down hardly with their brute strength.
And at 23:47 I guessing this unknown form could possibly be a fusion form like Sonic's Hedgehog and Werehog have fused up together and he would still have his Hedgehog's and Werehog's powers or probably been combined together as well, I guessing this form will appeared again at the end in Sonic Lost World or Sonic Forces where Sonic would be no longer be Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic The Werehog, he would become Sonic The Fusehog or most likely Sonic The Gaiahog.

Sonic shouldn’t have used the wish to seal Time Eater Erazor Djinn in the lamp forever because the magic lamp exploded, destroyed the second wish and the third wish remained nothing because he lamp is gone. If Sonic kept the lamp away Erazor and stopped himself from making the idiot wish, he would have still had the lamp with him in White Null Space.

This is really good. I've literally watched almost all your What If videos in the last three days. All of them are fantastic to watch, even if I think for some of them pacing can be a minor issue. I know others have probably done the same and you might not see it, but here are a few suggestions for future theories:
1) I know a lot of people have been asking for a "What If Maria Lived Theory?" I understand the issue with this is that, even if Maria lived, she'd probably have died anyway due to her condition (even if the unrealistic cryogenic solution was used, the illness still would be an issue). That lead me to this theory: "What If Shadow Ended Up In Secret Rings In Place Of Sonic?" The differences would largely come in the form of altered character dynamics...until the ending. Shadow is a different character from Sonic, and would not take kindly to Shara betraying him. And with the power of an extra all-powerful wish...I have a feeling instead of bringing back Shara, Shadow wishes for Maria to come back to life instead. Therefore, moving forward, Maria would be alive post Secret Rings (potentially saved by the magical energies surrounding her revival and giving her a way to maybe assist the main cast).
2) This one might be more ambitious, but it's the idea of adding characters from spin-offs such as the comics or television shows. What If theories such as "What If Sonic Was A Prince or Had Siblings?" based on Underground, "What If The Freedom Fighters Existed In Main Continuity?" based on SATAM and Archie, and "What If Chris Was In The Games?" from Sonic X.
Hopefully this gives you some good ideas, and if anyone else here reads this when scrolling through the comments, I'd be curious to see what directions you think any of these theories would go in.
Throughout this whole journey of what if werehog, it all comes down to being a very sad story of Sonic finding ways to not lose himself against the werehog form. Classic Sonic is very charming, keeping his head up about the situation. No big deal to him, just something exciting and new, poor young bean.
Ikr! He's blissfully oblivious to the weight of Dark Gaia's curse-for now. This whole _"What If?"_ is one big snowballing mess of sad hedgehog hours.
Honestly I'm just curious on if Scourge is gonna include Mania in this timeline, since post-Generations, Classic Sonic is in a separate timeline that connects with Modern's again through the Phantom Ruby.
Also, since the IDW comics seem to be a continuation of Forces, will that be included as well? It would be interesting to see the Weredog to deal with the Metal Virus.

So I understand it, each part is the 5 Stages of Grief if I'm not mistaken and since everyone is right, it goes like this
1. Denial (Unleashed and Black Knight)
2. Anger (Colors)
3. Bargaining/Desperation(Generations and The Secret Rings)
4. Depression(Lost World)
5. Acceptance(Forces)
The funny thing is that Sonic, being now a Werehog, will have to deal with several things, one of which is the high metabolism that his body will need, so he will eat many Chili Dogs just like Goku or a Saiyan from Dragon Ball Z which It's funny that since The Sonic Franchise is based in part on Dragon Ball Z :3

Maybe Sonic would have a friend called Luna Eclipse the Hedgewolf who is made by the combined powers of the light and dark energy inside of him and was brought to life by a mishap where she protects Sonic from the nightmare version of the Werehog from his nightmares like his personal Guardian. The barrier between the Arabian Nights and Sonic's world has been completely destroyed and the book has been and cannot be restored and completed. Sonic has Sharla's ring just as he has Chip's bracelet and the rings have to go somewhere. So the two could have fused and is helping Sonic in their own way.

I really like how the story is going so far. Having Dark Gaia in Classic Sonic will probably work. That could explain how to put Dark Super Sonic in the game world. Also it will be interesting if Classic Sonic becomes Modern Sonic in Sonic Forces but his story was played like the original game. How did that work? Maybe when Sonic escaped white space. I don't know? Plus I don't know where or when you will end this story so it's up to you.
I could see This story arc having 2 endings and keep in mind these endings would take place around the time of Sonic: Forces.
Ending 1 Sonic while not getting cured accepts the Werehog form
Ending 2 after defeating Infinite Both Modern and Classic Sonic both get cured and lose the Dark Gia essence
Ending 3 Modern and classic Sonic fuse Chip and Dark Gaea together (Somehow) and travel with the whole and complete Gaea, in which she gives them the power to switch between Hedge & Were at will.

But I think the Super Emeralds aren't actually canon....
Frankly? Nothing. Sure Perfect Chaos would be stronger, but Hyper Sonic also is stronger than Super. NOW! SA2 THATS wher its ad! We see what the Eclipse Canon is capable of with 6 Chaos Emeralds....I think 6 Super Emeralds woukd OBLITERATE the Moon. Also speeding up the recharche time and probably letting Eggman win. Ther is no garantee Tails would also be able to recreate the Super Emeralds, and even if, it would probably be weaker. With the incresed recharge time its also possible thet they cant even get to the Ark before the time is over, and with the Moon gone completly...I dont think the leaders of Earth would hesitate. They WOULD give Eggman controul over the world. Now even if the events of SA2 go mostly the same, I dont think Shadow would fall to Earth. As Hyper Shadow he would have much more energie, and therfore, they would be capable of saving the Ark without any sacrefices.

You know with Classic Sonic now having his own version of the Werehog Form, after Part 6 with the story of Lost World, instead of Part 7 being the story of Forces, it should be the story of Mania, showing how Classic Sonic deals with the Werehog vs his Modern Counterpart, how different it is from Modern Sonic's Werehog Form since it is a much smaller amount of Dark Gaia's essence, and how it will affect the story of Mania and the fight for the Phantom Ruby against the Hard Boiled Heavies (also Classic Werehog vs Giga Metal on Stardust Speedway would be awesome), plus Classic Sonic is gonna appear in the Forces part of the What If, so why not give him his own part as a prequel to that.

Time heist was just awesome...however, now one thing is coming out and I don't think anyone's made mention of it: the sudden "transformation" while Sonic was trying to Speed Boost out of the White Space. I think I got a feeling for it...notice it happened only AFTER Sonic acknowledged Dark Gaia in White Space and even was comforted by him. A theory is bubbling up in this moment for me, what if that transformation is either shown in Lost World or Forces? How to activate it? My thought is being at peace and one with not only Chip with the bracelet (cause I'm sure he'll return) but also with the Dark Gaia essence within him. I feel this will be a Naruto and Kurama type of exchange, they'll need to work together and possibly be good with working one another to continue on living. Thusly, once they actually strike an accord and Sonic is at peace with both Light and Dark Gaia, a new form emerges.

I’ve been re-watching these Werehog videos and I think I’ve noticed a running theme. It seems and each of these cases sonics friends seem to save him or at the very least being essential part to sonic saving the day.
Whether it be Chip in the Unleashed story, Marlene and the Knights of the Roundtable in the Black Knight story, and all of sonic’s friends in both the Colors and Generations adaptions.
