I used to love watching the CGI cutscenes of this game. I hadn't played it in years and I hadn't realized how the game actually holds up quite a bit. I honestly didn't think an EWW on this game would be very long, but here we are!

By the by, Shadow in this game being an android was totally ambiguous and eventually was confirmed he was the real Shadow in Shadow the Hedgehog. So it makes sense that Neo could get the ultimate lifeform data. And Neo was probably lying earlier to Shadow about him having no past
That or maybe Neo didn't know about the Shadow in Heroes being the original. He probably thought it was just another Shadow Android up until he fought Team Dark and was able to acquire the Ultimate Lifeform Data. We already know that Neo had no knowledge about Omega beyond his existence so it's safe to say Neo never knew where Omega was or what he Eggman had him doing.

Facts
Well, when you really look at it, only Sonic Boom really depicted him as an edge-lord. He had a couple moments in TSR, but for the most part, he was just a friendly rival to Sonic. Then there's Forces where he was handled shockingly well.

(BTW, I actually really liked the Sonic Boom show, it's just that Shadow being a bad guy was my only major gripe with it).

In Shadow the Hedgehog, it is confirmed that the Shadow seen in Sonic Heroes is the same one seen in Sonic Adventure 2.

@@justchillin1887 Shadow has a bad habit of amnesia since the whole point of Shadow the Hedgehog was him getting various endings to discover his past before saying screw it I make my own path. Apparently between then and Heros Eggman captured him and presumeably gave him amnesia inducing drugs for a possible attempt to manipulate him in the future if his andriods were wiped out.

Shadow in Heroes is the same one that died in SA2.
Official info from Sega stated that shortly after the events of SA2, Eggman discovered Shadow's lifeless body, put him in a healing pod while extracting his DNA for making android clones, and used Omega as a guard robot to protect the secret base. Once that happened, Sonic Heroes began. After Heroes, in Shadow's game, we find out that the Shadow we all played as was the original Ultimate Lifeform after all.
I already knew it would lead to that but, I don't see how so many weren't perceptive enough to figure that out.

I strongly disagree that the Team Chaotix's missions start to get ridiculous objectives from the casino levels forward. You had to collect a bunch of crabs in the very first mission. You've been doing that kind of nonsense the entire time, not just after the metropolis.

I'm pretty sure when "Eggman" (Metal Sonic) tells Shadow he has no memories, he's just lying so Shadow doesn't lose his reason to chase him down. If he told him the truth - that he is the original Shadow, and the plot of SA2 - then Shadow might stop chasing him, and then Metal Sonic wouldn't be able to get the data he needs to get Chaos Control later on.

My headcanon for why Team Chaotix has to do the missions nobody else does is that they arrive before the other teams. That's why they need things like casino chips or keys to open doors that the other teams apparently go right through.

Don't they tell us in shadow the hedgehog, they explain that that was the real shadow. Thus most of those sins are moot. Omega was there to ensure the real shadow wouldn't get out. Eggman probably programmed him to recognize the real shadow as an eggman robot. Yeah makes no sense to not tell him his purpose though. The whole twist with omega is that he goes searching for the real shadow but finds out he already knew the real one.

So all of these sins were only retroactively resolved, so they should still be applied because this game never actually bothered to clarify them.
In Shadow the Hedghog, Eggman confirms that he lied and that this shadow is the real shadow, and that he found shadow after the events of adventure 2.

8:40 Actually I think this is the same Shadow from the Shadow the Hedgehog game, because in that game Eggman says he saved Shadow and put him in a pod, hence why he was found separated from all the other Shadow clones shown at the end of Team Dark. Instead of being with the rest of them, they were made using this particular Shadow, who is the original Ultimate Lifeform.

I find it funny how Neo Metal gets data from Sonic, Chaos, and the Ultimate Life Form, but ultimately gained nothing from the involvement of Chaotix.

Cream is even more badass in the Sonic X cartoon. During a fighting competition (Which somebody apparently let a 6 year old rabbit and her pet join) a robot copies all the fighters abilities until it goes rogue (Because apparently a little bit of rain completely messes with advanced technology). Everybody fails defeating it but Cream and Cheese who pretty much kick the shit out of it while flying over the ocean.

Shadow is not a robot - if you sit in the final boss in Shadow the Hedgehog for 9 minutes Eggman reveals that Shadow is the same Shadow from Adventure 2 and Heroes. Dumb, but still canon.

Plus it makes plenty of sense: Shadow, being the “Ultimate Lifeform” has a body that is durable enough to withstand re-entry of the planets atmosphere long enough for one of Eggman’s thousands of robots to come and rescue him. It’s not dumb...it’s a little contrived, but not “dumb”.

Not gonna lie, Charmy Bee isn’t actually a bee then. When Charmy stung Eggman multiple times, he should’ve died since in real life, bees die as soon as they sting something/someone. If anything, Charmy is probably a wasp.
