Thank you so much for actually going through the buttons and features!! Youre the only video I've found that has taken the time to show the dash, steering wheel buttons and show the features of the inside! Highly appreciate it! Ive been watching this car for a while and am looking forward to ordering one!
Is it just me or does this car look great? This and the Prius stepped it up.
Both the Prius and the Corolla Cross has stepped up their game. I like them both and quite impressed with what Toyota has put together.
I agree. I think it looks better than the RAV4.
Great review, thanks
While the deal may initially seem like a bargain, some dealers unethically add an extra $5,000 over the MSRP. This no longer makes it a good deal. It's concerning how some dealerships seem to escape consequences for such practices. One might even suspect that automakers are complicit since dealers face little to no repercussions.
Nice review! Is it possible to purchase a spare tire?
Does it make a loud noise when backing up
Is the wait long for Hybrid?
Well done indeed! I would consider buying one in few years!
Good looking SUV, thanks for the report. Really looking forward to your report on Toyota's new Stout truck. Size and price will be in my wheel house.
Does the Corolla Cross Xse has a spare wheel?
Why is noone talking about NO SPARE TIRE? Tire inflation kit?
The new Prius looks great but is too low for me. This would be a much better fit. Great vehicle
What size gas tank please
begining of yout vids, you have introduced the CC XSE model hybrid 2.0, but you drove CC LE model with petrol engine analog dashboard, and talked bout the handling.....
I like this car; classy styling and good practicality. I'd likely get a lower trim level though. the 17" wheels would save more gas compared to the 19" ones. I think you meant 4 miles range in EV mode; it sounded like 40 to me but this isn't a plug-in hybrid. Might be nice if they offered a Prime model with 40 mile electric range. Good review and I too LOVE that color. Thanks a bunch, Lauren! 👍
Thank you! There is a plug-in coming and I expect a EV too. You are correct about the lower trim levels but many want the options too. 👍
Do you know if they'll give more interior options for the 2024? I really don't want another vehicle with all black interior. The standard Corolla cross and RAV4 hybrid both have macadamia interior options I was hoping this one would too.
If I was in the market for a vehicle it would be at the top of the list.
i rented a toyota corolla xse 2022 4 door sedan. it is a very good car commuter car. easy to drive. its like fast and handling is good. CVT is for gas saving.
I like the Corolla as well
It's like a better looking, pint sized Rav4. I dig it!
Good analysis- I agree
It doesn't look much smaller than the Rav4, just not as tall.
@@pamc3338 Right, but more stylish. Not far off. Of I could fold myself into one, I would trade the awd Camry in for on the lines on the C Cross are smoother than on the Rav. Thank you for your input. Best of all, it is a toyota. Definitely shorter than a Rav
Please let us know how comfortable seats are. Please be honest.
I've seen so many reviews of this car and no one mentioned anything about it.
Also how the seats in xse model?
Those seats are the same as RAV4?
I subscribed and gave a like.
Thank you
The top Rav4 has great seats. Gorgeous!
41st thumbs up! Great review, cool little car, Lauren
Thanks
@@CarCoachReports I want a 🍪
How tall are you? It would give a sense of size - the SUV looks spacious if you are 5'11'' but tiny if you are 5'4''....
Pros and cons. Prius has such low seats but best gas mileage. Corolla Cross Hybrid more comfortable height but supposedly leans quite a bit on curvy roads plus low gas mileage considering I’m used to 2009 Prius. Which do you think has better trade in value? I need a car now and might want to trade this 2023 purchase for Cross Hybrid Plug in. Wonder when it will be released. Feed back appreciated. I’m a senior and actually love that acidic blast. Usually buy silver…easier to keep clean looking but boring! The acidic blast might look clean longer as well but probably not best if trading it in.
Do the back seats fold down flush to the back? Does it also have an A/C outlet?
The seats to fold but they do not fold completely flat. There are no separate air conditioning outlets in the second row.
Toyota should offer this car in LE trim just like regular Corolla hybrid.
Any option of rear AC vents?
No sorry
Dose anyone know when Toyota is going to release this Corolla Cross hybrid? I first heard this summer but my local Toyota dealer was telling me that it might be pushed out towards the end of the year?? It's so frustrating shopping for a hybrid right now because nothing's available?
They’re dripping out. I’ve got one coming in a couple of weeks… apparently it’s on the train in CA right now.
Wish this drive train was in a crosstrek!
Nice thorough review by Lauren.👍🤗
They copied bits and pieces, inside and out, from the Kona and Seltos....
but, those vehicles with AWD and the 1.6L turbo , combined with the DCT , are better than a CVT and less torque. Not to mention lower prices and better warranties. 🧐🤔
I want to like the Korean products but don't trust them for the long haul. I keep my vehicles 12-15 years. And no thank you on the DCT.
I almost bought a Kona. Great to drive. Consumer Reports advised against it. Warranties are not so useful if parts aren’t available.
Lauren, is this hybrid much quieter than the gasoline version? The gas version seemed loud inside
I think it’s quieter. Good insulation. And of course, in the hybrid mode. It’s quite quiet.
Thanks Lauren. Great review.
Thank you! 👍
Thank you. Would you say it’s the same when going at 70+ on the interstate? Uphill?
Where do you check the tire presures? Why are the rear doors so short, it makes it difficult to get in and out? The extra cost for the hybrid doesn't pay for itself till your reach 100,000 mi. The car is smaller than the RAV4 so if your of small stature it works for you. But I think most people would prefer a Vensa for long term city driving. If you drive your vehicle hard on long trips, get a gas RAV4, especially if you switch vehicles every couple of years. Also if you go with smaller tires and no roof racks you will get a significant increase in gas mileage.
Well yeahhhh it's a small SUV that's why the back door is short? That's like saying why the 4runner is large. Every company had a compact midsized and full size sedan and SUV. this will outsale the Venza for the corolla badge and cheaper
Compared to a Rav4 hybrid, you are saving over $4K the minute you dive the Corolla Cross Hybrid off the lot. Plus, you don't have to look at the ugly scowling face on the Rav4 each day.
You don’t have to get the roof racks. I wouldn’t want them because one of them sits in the middle of the sunroof. You can see the tire pressures in the center where the info center is. The XLE had that also, the tires were all 42 psi! I let about 5 pounds out of each. I just hope they get all the kinks out of the models before the hybrids come in June.
Does the hybrid have the auto start stop? And if so, can it be permanently turned off?
no start / stop button - i looked for it.
I'd like the top of the line but dont care for the patterned upholstery. Also, NY dealers are asking $3-5,000 over sticker so I won't be buying one at this time.
Great car but a bargain? At $32k for SE and even more for XSE? Not even counting dealer markup here. I don't think so. These car journalist are so biased towards the manufacturers because they know they won't get future access if they are actually critical of the manufacturers. When was the last time you saw a critical review of a new car?
I find it annoying that you have to get the absolute highest trim level to get heated front seats. What is the deal with Toyota and heated seats?
Get her to 1 million
💯
Thank you! 🙏
Love this car but was not impressed with the available color options
As someone who has driven manual their entire life, park hold mystifies me
This could be the perfect new uber car. Now, that the Prius's back door makes it too hard for most adults to enter the car.
8:36 I don't think you get 40 miles of EV range. Maybe 1 mile. This car has only 0.95 kWh battery.
Correct. A prime version would get the 40miles in battery mode. This one might get 2. But it’s a hybrid so the mileage is great even though the all electric range is small.
You’re right. 40 miles if it were a Prime, but there is no such corolla cross.
In this day and age the seats don't fold flat you got to be kidding
Throughout a slight angle. Unless you need to completely flat floor, this is more than enough for most people.
No spare tire option? Weak...
How many "huge" did you guys count? Other than that, nice review, good car but I'd prefere RAV4.
The only things missing from this vehicle (besides a proper automatic transmission) is character. It looks OK. But with Kia and Hyundai grabbing market share away (mostly from Toyota), they need to infuse their cars with character. Toyota = reliability. But the market trend is now fresh, somewhat daring design and excitement.
Rear styling & taillights particularly look like a $20K budget vehicle. Also, any use of halogen bulbs is a sign of corner-cutting & tacky cheapness these days.
Nice enough Toyota but a little short on interior "wow". Don't care for the black out badges and the decision to put 4 of them on the ass end.
Bargain SUV maybe after 1 yr. A dealer already told me that its going to be atleast $5000 over sticker price because "its new".
Aint no bargain with those $8k markups. Shameful.
Look around - some dealers are selling at sticker in the Buffalo and Rochester, NY area
Never touch any car with a CVT
What car doesn't have a 60,000 mile engine drive train warranty? Except of cause Hyundai or Kia and then you have to worry if they'll honor their warranty during that period of time.
60 or 100k is nothing when it comes to Toyota and Honda.
It /outlooks / the RAV-4.......
Toyota has struck a Grand Slam -- again! I'm driving my 2nd Hyundai Kona (2022 FWD Limited) and I'm really getting upset with how Hyundai treats their repeat customers! As bad as the big "C" cable company!!!! When my lease is up next year, I'm going to check out the CC Hybrid for sure -- it's going to be a 2025 model year so let's see what's new by then.
I almost bought a Kona until I saw the Consumer Reports reliability prediction. Can you provide more details on their customer service, please?
@@A_A_J. Actually, customer service has been excellent for me, but I think it depends on the dealership. My Kona is a 2022, not an EV, and the 2023 ones are worse. Kona is getting a total redesign for 2024 so let's see how that goes.
Bargain? A $40k plus compact car? I'll pass
Why in USA toyota value for money, in ndonesia expensive and less fiture old car.
I believe all Corolla’s have a CVT. That’s a negative for sure.
Maybe for you but not for most buyers, I'd wager. My last 2 cars are ECVTs and I love their smoothness and fuel economy.
Nissan CVT is the worst
Also shame on you for not telling the truth about cvts to your fanbase
I personally am not a fan. But this vehicle is about fuel economy and this is what the whole segment is going to.
What about it?? It has an E-CVT. What else do you need to know?
